Chapter 13.5: TRAINING AND USING OF ITEMS

After their humbling defeat at the Vermilion City Gym, Haru and Kasumi were determined to turn their setback into an opportunity for growth. They sought solace and a chance to regroup in the tranquil route just east of Vermilion City, where they could focus on training and honing their skills.

"Uggghhh!! We lost bigtime there, Haru!!" frustratingly said to Haru.

Under the shade of towering trees, Haru and Kasumi engaged in rigorous training sessions with their Pokémon. They pushed themselves to the limit, seeking to overcome their weaknesses and emerge stronger than ever.

"Yeah, let's not get arrogant again. We can't be the very best if we let our ego into our heads." AS Haru said that, he trains his Eevee, Pidgey and Magikarp.

"I know that, but..." Kasumi pouting her lips while also training her Piplup, Jigglypuff and Lapras.

"Train with my Pokemons for now, I'mma rest a little." As Haru get to the shades and called the system.

'System!'

[ Hello host! Did ya lost badly? ]

"Are you mocking me, I'mma tell it to Arceus" annoyingly said while looking at the system with a grudge.

[ Just kidding, Host! What did you call me here for? ]

"Why did we lost there? We got the Protagonists' Aura and what's up with the Electabuzz? I remember that Lt. Surge's Ace Pokemon is Raichu."

[ tsk, tsk, tsk. Host, remember that Protagonist lost most of the time and will only win once they train or learned something. So you, the host, bear with it. ]

"..." Haru was speechless by what the system said but when he think about it, the system is right. He looked again at the system and said, "Then, what can I do in training? Training blindly can't get me nowhere."

[ Then Host, I'll give you some methods to train. First, You can battle some wild Pokemons, some trainers and train with your friend Kasumi. Second, You can use the system rewards that you have gotten this past few days. You did earn a insight. You can teach it to Kasumi then if she learned it, train with her. Lastly, use that rare candy of yours ]

"Oh Yeah! The Rare Candies!" Haru exclaimed.

[ You don't want to train or something? ]

"I'll do that later" Haru then looked at the system storage and he saw his items there.

1x Special beginner Item (bestowed by the creator) ( Can be use now )

1 month supply of Pokemon Food (20 days of food supply left)

Soothe Bell ( Can Increase affection of Pokemon who helds it by 50% ) (Held by Eevee)

"I only have 5?" Haru said with a look of disinterest.

[... Really, Host? Rare Candies are rare amongst rare things even in this world! Even if you get one, they have side effects. So, Are you really kidding me?? ]

"I'm just joking, okay?!" Haru muttered.

[.... Creator! Please take me back! ]

"..... What a dramatic system." Haru rolled his eyes. Looking at the system storage, He ask the system about something.

"System, show me the stats of my Pokemon!"

[Affirmative!]

"Really? Eevee is the weakest amongst them?" Haru shockingly said as he knew that he always use Eevee in his every battle.

[ Well, You did caught Magikarp at Level 15 and Pidgey at Level 10. Eevee is much harder to train than your Pidgey ]

"Hmmm, Then I'll use all of the rare candy to Eevee for now." Haru said after thinking for a while.

"Woah! Another item? I still haven't open the special one." Haru happily said. " System! Open the two items!"

[ Opening...... Ding! Congrats Host for receiving Exp. Share ( Exp. Share is an item that allows Pokémon in your party to gain experience points (EXP) even if they didn't participate in battle. It's a useful tool for training and leveling up multiple Pokémon simultaneously) & Sharp Beak! ( Sharp Beak is an item in Pokémon that boosts the power of Flying-type moves. When a Pokémon holds a Sharp Beak during battle, the damage dealt by its Flying-type moves increases. It's like a little accessory that makes the Pokémon's Flying moves stronger. As the Host have a flying type Pidgey, the Sharp Beak can be equipped, making their Flying-type attacks will pack a bit more punch. It's a helpful item for trainers who want to maximize the power of their Flying moves in battles.) ]

"Now that's useful! Exp. Share! ON!" Haru shouted in his mind as he saw that the exp. share is connected to his Pokemon.

"Now we can start the real training! Double the results while half the effort! Truly worthy of me being the Protagonist!" Haru nodded as he is feeling proud.

[ Host, remember, you only have a sliver of Protagonist's Aura so don't show me that smug face of yours. You'll probably be defeated by Lt. Surge Again. ]

"......."

"Haru!! Come here and train with me! I already defeated all your Pokemon. If you don't train, Lt. Surge might electrify you again!" Kasumi shouted as she sit by her Lapras and looked at the tired Pokemon of hers and Haru's Pokemon.

"...... Lt. Surge might give me nighmares." Haru muttered
