123. The Race

"Dear audience, the long-awaited annual Extreme Pokémon Race is about to begin!"

"Look at that, Racer Ash won the Extreme Pokémon Race! And he set a record of winning the championship at the fastest speed ever recorded in the competition! The Best Rider this year is Ash Ketchum!"

Ash received his trophy, and even Tauros had a golden meddle hanging around his neck!

In addition to the championship trophy and the title of Best Rider, Ash also received a blue Pokémon Egg given to him by Mr. Shellby and his wife as a thank you gift for protecting their Breeder House.

They said this Pokémon Egg should hatch soon!

"Wow, it's a Pokémon Egg. Thank you, Uncle Shellby and Aunty Kimie!" Molly immediately rushed to hold it in her arms.

Ash was smiling as he walked to the Pokémon Center to call his mom and someone else.

He first called his Mom and told her about him winning the Extreme Pokémon Race and he sent her the trophy to her via the Pokémon Mail. He sent all the trophies he won back home to his room. He also told her to tell the Professor about his title.

He then called Maya and told her about all his recent works because it has been some time since he last talked with his so called Soulmate.

He found out from Maya that her family has a long tradition of having a Soulmate thanks to the Sea Soul they possess.

And Ash just happened to be her Soulmate. Ash also felt something everytime he looked at her.
