LOG 55: Lunch and Grass

We ate lunch at a secluded hill away from public. I had with me some sandwiches and of course, my favorite orange juice. Our Pokemon also ate with us, however, the newly evolved Zoroark kept challenging Seviper. Salamence tried calming them down. Alas, all she did never worked.

"Bad thing we didn't win the HM Surf."

"It's just surf," I said plainly while staring to the horizon.

"Are you sad we lost?"

"Uh, huh. That was unfair. Seviper knocked out the foes! How come that doesn't count?"

"Well, they're connoisseurs."

"That has nothing to do with the battle tower."

"At least your Zorua evolved! Isn't that great?"

"Yes, yes, but abruptly."

"Well, you can say that," she gnawed her apple and sat beside me. "So, what are his new moves?"

"Replaced Fury swipes with Throat Chop and scratches with Shadow Ball."

"Those are good."

I shrugged.

"Even if I don't know what Throat chop means. Hihi!"

<Ser?>

A random voice seeped into our ears all of a sudden. Valery and I looked back.

<Servine?> said the Pokemon.

I've identified through my Pokedex the Pokemon to be a grass type and a male one too.

[Servine is a slim bipedal Pokémon that is primarily green with a cream underside, and narrow red eyes. It has a yellow V-shaped structure that starts at the chest and extends behind the shoulders. Servine has short limbs and a small crest protruding from the back of its head. Three palmate leaves grow along its back and tail. These leaves are capable of performing photosynthesis, but only while they are clean. Servine will go to great lengths to stay dirt-free for this reason. This swift Pokémon hides in thick foliage or shadows to avoid attacks before retaliating.]

"What's a Servine doing here?" I said.

Servine appeared injured with his leg a little bit rough. He had scratches, numerous of them were quite deep. But his gaze was however didn't prove he was exhausted. He kept giving us plain expressions, thus, making it difficult for us to determine what he needed.

Soon a net befell him and came from two Pokemon poachers who shot not only him but also ours.

"Hey! Let them free or we'll report you to the police," said Valery.

The poachers just laughed, plus, I believe Valery wouldn't do that.

I so effortlessly saved mine by sending them back to their Pokeballs. There was nothing special about their nets. They were only the ones used for fishing. I bet they even have Zubats and Rattatas as their only Pokemon. Speaking of Zubats and Ratattas, kinda reminds me of an organization but couldn't remember which.

"Huh, I could do that as well," said Valery as she sent them back too. "But what about Servine? You're not planning to leave Servine alone aren't you?"

"Sigh, if I must," I said tossed a Pokeball at it. Servine was caught under my ownership. I quickly took the Pokeball therafter.

"Now scram! You don't want to mess with me," I said, totally cliche.

"You have no idea who we are, miss lady," said one of the poachers.

"Servine was ours first!" said the other.

Valery squealed. "Robbers getting robbed? Oh the irony."

I brought forth Salamence to scare them away.

"You don't want to fight. Unlike you, we're professional robbers. Team Rocket!" Valery announced.

"What? Why did you do that?"

One of the grunts chuckled. "This will give us big bucks if we tell them to police."

"Oh, my bad again!" Valery said and hid behind me.

"Try me and you'll get burned up. This is the final warning."

Salamence's power heated.

The group discussed.

"What do we do now?"

"We can't win against a Salamence."

"Forget it, we'll at least we can earn money from the police. Come on, let's get out of here."
