The distortion world is said to be an alternate universe parallel to ours. This completely changes my belief for if there is another world, there could be hundreds or possibly thousands of alternate dimensions. The first thing I remembered was Giovanni's words about a parallel universe in which he claims to have his revenge when the right time strikes. It has something to do with ultra beasts, not that I know about them.
This dimension is dark, it does not abide by the laws of physics nor does time and spacial relations. They are irregular, allowing us to walk on any island, sideways, or not. We could also surf at any waterfalls no matter what direction it is currently facing. From my view, trees and rocks can simply grow out and disappear whenever it pleases to.
This is possibly due to the fact that gravity is not normal in this world; therefore, no extra effort is needed by the Pokémon to climb the waterfall. The world's rust-colored landmass is separated into tiny islands. Trees are spiky and incredibly tall, much like giant kelp. Beneath the floating land, there is a spinning whirlpool of spatial clouds.
Zinnia and I are tasked to find the first lake guardian, Mesprit. Zeal and Dawn will be finding the second one, Uxie. Lastly, Logan and the champion will be finding the third one, Azelf. It is a hard task, not to mention the deities above us are persistently fighting. Though, there is something suspicious about Arceus. Well, who knows? People always thought of Giratina is the big bad, huh... what if it was Arceus?
Zinnia and I are Salamence riders, Cynthia and Logan depended on their Garchomp and Pelipper as Zeal and Dawn depended on their Charizard and Togekiss. We went to three different directions. North, East, and West. As much as possible, Cynthia bade to us to never disrupt the fight happening above. It would only cause further destruction.
"So? Where do you want to search first?" Zinnia asked me.
"Well, that's up to you."
"What do you mean, up to me? Hey! I demand a salary after this!"
"Don't ask me, ask our executives. You're not an official member anyway."
"Sigh. Let's just start with that island!" Zinnia pointed at an isle that looks like a foot. The island is not wider than the Spear Pillar, and has no waterfalls but has spiky trees and disappearing rocks. We went here first and unsaddled from our Salamence.
"I'm surprise there is oxygen in here." Zinnia uttered as she knelt, observing the grains of soil of the island. It's somewhat dark but peach, a mixture of both colors. As she pondered on the texture, I roamed the island to search for the Pokemon.
Mesprit was there alright and I tried to grab it with my hands when suddenly it turned itself invisible, running to another island I know not about. My hands were near the Pokemon, if only I could've been more subtle and quiet while trying to reach for it.
"Hey! Will you help out or are you going to be a collector? You remind me of a mother who's also a collector." frustrated, I looked back at Zinnia only to see her placing soil on a bottle.
"I'm a lore keeper. I'm going to research more about this in case it is related to the Draconids. Giratina is a dragon too, so what if there is a connection between us and it? You never find out unless you research!" Zinnia enthusiastically replied back as she continued to gather some grains of soil.
"How nice, maybe you want to take a sample of the trees as well?"
"Yup! Done!" Zinnia pointed at her bag, filled with a ton of leaves. Abruptly, Giratina was falling towards our island after being pushed by Dialga. We immediately rode our Salamence and lifted off to a new one.
The whole island was squashed and destroyed, falling into an abyss after Giratina unintentionally hit it. It shouted madly, <Remove those chains!> as it shot out a shadow ball towards Dialga. Dialga dodged the attack and ran as far as possible while Giratina chased its tail. Palkia intervened, slashing Giratina on the side. It blasted off to Arceus, accidentally hitting it. Now, this is what I call a brawl!
"That was a close one." we sighed in relief.
"Yup! And I got my back of leaves too. Ooh, I wonder if it's edible." Zinnia's curiosity is above the average.
"Don't eat the leaves, it might make you puke."
"Did your dreams say that too?"
"Sigh." I rolled my eyes and flew off with my Salamence. She followed from behind.
"There! I see Mesprit!" Zinnia pointed. We tilted our Salamence to the left as we glided down to an island to capture it.
"If I can't have the deities, then I'll stick with a rare Pokemon!" another scheme, perhaps one may call it evil, appeared in my head even if it means being a traitor to everyone else. The rise of Team Rocket will surely be inevitable after this.
"Hey, Luna! What are you planning to do?!" Zinnia confronted me, after seeing me pull out one of our weaponry. It's shaped like a pistol and once I pull the trigger, a net will be shot at Mesprit; thus capturing the Pokemon.
I didn't respond to Zinnia and instead, I gave a vicious smirk as I pulled the trigger. Mesprit was captured, trapped inside the net of Team Rocket. Our net doesn't allow any pulses to escape itself and so that protects me against it if it dares to change my emotions. Mesprit struggled as I pulled the net closer to me. Our net is the strongest among all, no one can cut themselves loose.
"Now, you're-"
"Hey, Luna! That wasn't the plan, well technically it is since the champion said to capture it but not as in capture it for the sake of Team Rocket! You're going above the-"
"I'm sorry. Well you see, I made a promise to myself and that is, doing all for the sake of my organization. If I can't have Dialga nor Palkia, then a lake guardian will be mine!" I glared at her, I knew she was opposing me big time. She gave me a glare as well as I threw an Ultra Ball inside the cage.
Mesprit escaped, and so I endlessly threw Ultra Balls until it stayed in. Angered that it doesn't want to stay inside an Ultra Ball, I decided to turn things up to the next level, pressing a button from my weapon. Electricity sparked through the ropes of the net and to Mesprit who was paralyzed by it.
"I'm done! I thought Team Rocket changed and so I was willing to help, but it turns out you and your "mighty" team is like everyone else! An evil criminal organization!"
"Then maybe we are." I laughed. There, I commanded my Salamence to unleash Flamethrower. This damaged both Zinnia and her Salamence as they fell to one of the floating islands. Back to my business with Mesprit, I threw another Ultra Ball and I was successful. Finally, Mesprit is ours.
I kept the Ultra Ball in which Mesprit is held captive inside my pocket as I stared down at Zinnia who was struggling to stand up to her feet after being attacked. There was a bruise on her left leg as Salamence glared at me and mine, blocking its trainer for me.
"I'm done! I'm out of Team Rocket. I'm telling th-" another flamethrower from my Salamence went for the island, shattering it into pieces and fragments. Zinnia could've never survived that but to my surprise, she did. Once the smoke dispersed and settled, I saw Zinnia, riding her Salamence.
"First Rayquaza, then you were successful with Deoxys, now, Mesprit? I'm done. If we meet again, I'm finishing you off for good!" I didn't reply, as I was in complete denial. She left the distortion world, exiting through the portal. Her anger has made her quit this whole operation as Logan witnessed what happened.
"What happened to her?! Why did she leave?" Logan queried while riding his Pelipper.
"Forget her," I told him as I flew away from Logan.
"W-wait, about Mesprit? Did you find it?"
"No. About Azelf?" I lied.
"No luck either but Zeal and Dawn were able to capture Uxie." replied, Logan as I went to look for Zeal. A part of him knew an argument happened between me and her but he refused to go to that kind of deep conversation.
