Aoki vs Brock-2

Aoki and Brock got ready for the second and final round ." Be careful, this is my strongest Pokemon . You might lose if you don't bring out your Bellsprout ." said Brock as he released his second Pokemon.

Baam!

With a loud thud, a ten-meter-tall Onix appeared in the field and released a roar.

'That's a huge Onix'

It was Aoki's first time seeing a Pokemon that tall in general. The Onix that he had caught earlier was around 5 meters tall but this was twice that.

Aoki's Pokedex made a sound that indicated that he won the first round.

He had set up his Pokedex in his front pocket in such a way that it always records a new Pokemon he sees. In today's case, he had tuned on the recording feature too for watching it later on.

Aoki clicked his Pokeball and released his Charmander into the field.

Brock didn't comment on Aoki's choice of Pokemon but was surprised to see a Charmander as those are not seen very often.

The Charmander brimming with vitality looked toward the towering Onix with a fire in his eyes.

Charmander knew that this was an important battle for Aoki even then he chose him over the others so his pride won't allow him to lose to the Onix.

Aoki looked towards Charmander who had recently broken to intermediate rank and was going to fight a Pokemon in the upper echelons of intermediate rank. Onix was a Pokemon that had physical strength that surpassed Charmander by a huge margin so the difficulty increased more.

This will be Charmander's toughest battle so far.

"We are winning this Charmander, so let's give our best!!"

" Charmander work up "

" Onix sandstorm " sand seeped out of the body of Onix and covered the field but this time it was stronger than Geodude.

Charmander coated his limbs in dragon-type energy and dashed towards Onix. Blueish-purple claws formed in the hands of Charmander as he slashed forward.

This was the Dragon claw that Aoki made him learn.

"Onix counter with iron tail "

Charmander who ignored the damage from slashing his claws toward Onix was met with a strong force which pushed him back several meters.

"Collect energy at your feet and kick backward, now "

Charmander did what he was asked and stopped himself from getting hurt as he was going to crash into a boulder.

"Dash forwards and use Dragon Claw again"

"Onix use Rock throw "

Charmander replete the actions and sliced apart a few rocks before racing Onix. Just as he was about to be flicked away by Onix's tail, Charmander used Dragon tail again the attack to propel himself into the air and released his strongest attack.

Opening his mouth he released a breath of destructive dragon-type energy whose range and power were not less than flamethrower.

It was Dragon Breath

Boom!!

Onix gritted his teeth and used Rock Tomb at Charmander completely sealing him off.

"Charmander released every bit of the dragon-type energy collected at one…Now!!"

Boom!!

The rocks around Charmander exploded as he dashed sidewards missing Onix's tail by a few inches.

Charmander rotated his body and hoped on to Onix's tail and started to run towards his head.

As soon as Charmander reached a sufficient height, he used Dragon Breath again but Onix respond with something unexpected.

Dragon Pulse.

Although Onix didn't have a dragon bloodline, they could learn 3 dragon-type moves - dragon tail, dragon pulse, and dragon breath.

Aoki forgot to take into consideration that an intermediate-level Onix can have a dragon-type egg move as they learn these attacks at much higher ranks.

Boom!!

Charmander's purple flame-like Dragon Breath and Onix's beam-like Dragon Pulse collided creating a large and loud explosion that completely covered Charmander.

"Onix put him down "

"Charmander use Protect quick!!" Aoki shouted as he realized something but it was too late.

Onix's body glowed white as he used Double edge on Charmander who could not dodge on time and crashed to the ground.

Due to the Iron head Character trait of Onix, the damage from the recoil was negated.

Charmander moved his body with anger in his eyes. His body incurred a lot of injuries from the last attack which seemed to fuel his anger even more.

"I suggest you give up this rank, trainer.

You Charmander will be injured even further " Brock said crossing his arms.

"Haha don't worry about Charmander. I believe in him.

He can't be stopped with just this. Right Charmander ?"

~Chaar !!!! "

"Show me then….Onix use Rock throw !"

Charmander used more dragon-type energy and started blasting dragon breaths while using a combo of Dragon tail and Dragon claw.

Onix used Protect to block the Dragon breath and used stone edge.

The combo of Sandstorm and stone edge was deadly for any Pokemon plus the iron tail and slam from such a large monster pushed Charmander to his limits.

Onix slammed Charmander to the ground and went underground.

As Aoki instructed Charmander spread his dragon-type energy into the ground from his feet to feet.

At an accurate moment, Charmander jumped into the air and used Dragon tail on Onix that came out of the ground. Onix roared in pain and used screech to further lower Charmander's defense.

" Charmander did good but I think it's time to end the battle, " said Brock as he decided to use Onix's strongest move.

" Onix used earthquake " the entire stadium shook as the ground cracked hitting Charmander with ground-type energy.

Charmander did his best to defend against the attack but the area and power of the attack were so large that it could not be avoided.

Although the attack stats of Onix was not so high but Earthquake was a move that even Pokemon with weak stats can deal massive damage.

Charmander was now handing on a think threat full of injuries.

Already going sandstorm plus earthquake death massive damage.

" Onix finish the battle, use slam "

Charmander felt his consciousness fade away as the fire on his tail grew weaker.

"Wake up Charmander! " Aoki's voice reached his ears, the tone was not his usual tone but when he was serious.

" What happened to your promise !? If can't defeat this hurdle before you, you can rever reach your goal.

So stand up! fight! I am with you.

I believe in you. Show that you are not weak! "

Hearing every moment spent with Aoki flashed in his mind. Although he spent only around 3 weeks with Aoki, they were the best moments of his life.

His eyes became sharp as he saw everything in slow motion. Charmander moved his tired body and dodged the tail of Onix that would have ended the match if that connected.

Determination and Pride burned inside Charmander as dragon-type energy burst out of his body.

Charmander opened his mouth and released an orb of dragon-type energy at Onix which caused a large explosion on his body.

This move came naturally to dragons when flames of determination and thirst for power burned within them.

Dragon Rage.

This isn't the game where Dragon rage just takes away 40hp of a Pokemon but deals massive about of damage.

Charmander roared and dashed towards Onix as the tail at his fire went the wind.

The speed and power behind his attacks increased to a new degree as he dashed towards Onix.

This time the large Onix was getting pushed back by the small Charmander. Brock had a drop of sweat on his forehead looking at the ferocious Charmander that was fighting against all odds reacting to Aoki's words.

He had never seen a Charmander fight like that. This amount of power from that small Pokemon was unimaginable.

Charmander destroyed every attack of Onix with dragon-type energy and got a large number of hits on Onix.

With every hit connected, Charmander's attack Pokemon increased with was a shock for Brock.

The moment Onix used the earthquake again Charmander jumped in the air, the flame on his tail burned brightly as he released dragon breath that contained all his remaining Power towards Onix.

Onix used Protect but Charmander's Dragon breath broke through Protect and blasted into Onix.

" BOOM ! "

"Baam!! "

With a loud crash, Onix fell to the floor defeated.

" ONIX IS UNABLE TO BATTLE, CHALLENGER AOKI WINS THE MATCH " Brock's brother announced but his face could not hide the shock.

Charmander gave a roar and came towards Aoki.

"Good job buddy…I knew you could do that…

I am proud of your ". Charmander made a happy sound and fell asleep in Aoki's arms.

Brock came towards Aoki clapping for the splendid match. It's been a long time since someone pushed him this hard.

He took out the Boulder badge from his pocket and handed it to Aoki.

" I present you the Boulder badge in honor of defeating me "

"This is the T.M for Rock Tomb that you can teach your Pokemon"

Every gym owned by the league gave a T.M to the trainer after winning which can't be purchased from the mart.

"Congratulations Aoki. I never expected Charmander to bring out such power"

"That was a bit unexpected for me too but something inside me is telling me that this is just the borderline of what Charmander can do," Aoki said as he started fidgeting with his Pokedex.

"Now that you have won the gym badge, what are your plans? " Brock asked.

"Hmm...I don't really have anything important to do. I haven't really explored the city so we will be doing that " Aoki said.

"If that's the case, why don't you two come for lunch to my house tomorrow? I want to ask Aoki about the diet he gave to his Pokemons "

"Thanks, Brock we will take the offer " Misty said happily.

"Sure Brock, no problem" Aoki accepted the offer.
