CHAPTER 84 – VS BLAINE (PART THREE)

In the previous chapter we see how our hero rises with the victory after defeating Blaine in an exciting battle, but now is the turn of Nancy, who, after an evolution in Salamence, manages to weaken the first Pokémon of Blaine, leaving only the second and the last one, will she win? That's right, my next Pokémon is Nidoqueen, an Earth-type Pokémon, the best option I have for this gym and that I was reserving for now.

"Let's not waste any more time, there is still your other companion, Arcanine takes advantage of the fact that there is still the sun and use Flare Blitz!"

Damn, I completely forgot the existence of the sun, but that won't stop us from winning.

"Nidoqueen use Stone Edge and prevent it from approaching!"

Arcanine had already lunged towards Nidoqueen, so I decided to stop it.

I have learned a lot from you today despite having been fighting in this gym for more than 40 years, which means that I still have a lot to learn, but I will still continue to give lessons to the trainers, it is what a gym leader must do after all, I will not entertain you anymore, let's start, Magmortar I choose you!" – said Blaine.

"Prinplup I choose you!"

"We started strong, but it's not enough, Magmortar use Sunny Day!"

"Prinplup use Stealth Rock!"

Both Pokémon performed their attacks successfully, the problem is that, although Stealth Rock is going to give me an advantage, it would not be until I weakened Magmortar, which will be difficult now.

"Prinplup return!"

I returned to Prinplup to his Pokéball, with Magmortar's Solar Beam it will be very difficult to fight against him and we cannot focus on speed because Prinplup is not very fast so I only have one option.

"Aggron I choose you!" – I said.

Aggron went out to the battlefield ready to fight because he even roared.

"Excellent, it is important to know when you can win a battle with your Pokémon or not, so it is better to change it if you think you can't win, you are very good trainers, I must confess that of all the participants I have seen throughout these months, apart from you, only 4 people have impressed me like this!" – exclaimed Blaine.

"I'm glad, but be prepared because i'm going to impress you even more, Aggron use Stone Edge!"

Aggron punched the ground and numerous sharp rocks emerged from the ground with the intention of hitting Magmortar.

"Use Solar Beam and break through those stones!"

Apparently Magmortar had loaded his Solar Beam and shot it at Aggron, luckily, he was so close to Magmortar that he was able to send him flying with his attack and then flew out for his attack.

When Magmortar fell to the ground, he could no longer get up, he had weakened.

Although Aggron had won, it was not in very good condition, just like Nancy was, damn it, I made the same mistake without realizing it.

The good thing is that when he entered, red sparks came out of the ground and hurt Arcanine a little that he grimaced in pain.

"Perfect, my attack from the beginning worked, it's time to finish it off completely, Prinplup I choose you!" – I said pulling Prinplup out of his Pokéball.

Prinplup came out of his Pokéball and looked at Arcanine seriously, he felt it, he also knew that Arcanine was going to be a tough opponent.

"Don't worry Prinplup, we'll win!" – I said.

Prinplup looked at me and nodded.

"That's how I like it, no matter how strong your opponent is, you should never give up because sometimes unexpected things can happen!" – said Blaine.

"We will never give up, Prinplup use Bubble Beam!"

Prinplup quickly formed bubbles and shot them at point-blank range towards Arcanine.

"Use Iron Tail and get rid of all bubbles!"

Arcanine nodded and broke all the bubbles with his attack.

"I hope that's not all your power, otherwise I'd be disappointed!" – exclaimed Blaine.

This fight is going to be tough, he broke Prinplup's attack like nothing, so if I want to hit that attack on him, I need to give another approach to this fight, otherwise I won't be able to win.

"If that attack didn't work, let's see if this one you can break it, Prinplup use Hydro Pump!"

A huge jet of water shot out towards Arcanine.

"Vaporize it with Flare Blitz!"

Arcanine quickly engulfed himself in a flame and shot out towards the Hydro Pump.

When both collided, at first the Hydro Pump looked like it was going to win, but it was not like that because in a few seconds it was crossed by Arcanine.

And it was true, Arcanine was very fast and Prinplup could not dodge it so he was sent to fly.

"Are you okay Prinplup?" – I asked worriedly.

Prinplup stood up, looked at me and nodded.

But before he could say anything else, a white light enveloped him blinding everyone.

"It's evolving, hahaha, this fight is full of surprises, Sabrina already warned me that you were special, but I didn't think at this point!" – exclaimed Blaine.

Little by little the light faded until it showed a new figure...

"Empoleon's data has been recorded in the Pokédex!" – and that was the Rotom Dex.

"Poleon!" - said Empoleon, looking at me.

"You did it for me... well, I will answer your expectations, we will win this match once and for all, Empoleon use Hydro Pump!"

"We won't let ourselves be won even if your Pokémon evolved, Arcanine use Flare Blitz!"

Both attacks collided again but this time they were tied, neither beat the other, but suddenly, when I was thinking about what to do, Empoleon looked at me and then at his water attack and as if transmitting it to me by telepathy I understood what he meant.

"Let's get this over with, Empoleon use Hydro Cannon!"

Suddenly, the water grew three times its previous size and its speed grew exponentially making Arcanine could not withstand the blow and was sent to fly by the powerful attack of Empoleon.

When he fell to the ground we saw that he had already weakened.

"Arcanine can't keep fighting, Empoleon wins and therefore, the victory goes to the challenger Verity!" – said the referee.

What came next was a lot of congratulations and a kiss from Ash, that was already our routine after winning a medal, but seriously, I'm delighted to have won, now we only have one medal left each and we can participate in the Indigo League.

"Well, congratulations to all three, you really are exceptionally talented trainers, I'm glad I had a battle with you" - Blaine said.

"Your lessons were good for us too, the truth is that, thanks to them, I will avoid making the same mistake again" – I said.
