CHAPTER 105 – A MEGA ADVENTURE (PART TWO)

In the previous chapter we see how our heroes return from Galar after a raid in which an Alcremie appeared that Gloria catched and also where Ash got his new girlfriend Roxy, however, less than a week before starting the Indigo League, our heroes receive an e-mail from the Indigo League which will carry out a trip to the Mega Island, home of the Mega Stone, determined to go, they undertake their last flight before the Indigo League towards Kalos.

With Ash.

"I understand what you're saying, but that's not why I'm going to give up, today we won't leave without getting two Mega Stones" - I said firmly.

"Haa... do you two need two Mega Stones too?" - the woman asked.

"Yes" – they both said.

"Then I can only wish you good luck, if I could I would not mind giving you more time but unfortunately it does not depend on me so you can only stay 5 hours" – said the woman.

"Don't worry, we'll do it on time, for sure" - I nodded.

The girls also nodded.

Minutes later.

From going from being a sunny day to being a day where it looked like it was going to rain at any moment, that's what happened when we arrived on the Mega Island.

From one moment to the next, everything became cloudy, the sky was covered with clouds threatening to rain but surprisingly it was not cold, there was a good temperature.

"Don't worry about the weather, the Mega Island always has the same weather" - said the woman.

It seems that they were all asking the same question because I saw some of them sigh of relief.

Soon we arrived to the Mega Island and of course it was big, gigantic if I may say it, and from the boat I could see that it had different ecosystems, although I could only see two, one with completely dry rock and one full of water, I remember that in the anime something similar was shown, so imagine it as in the anime, it will be easier in that way.

Soon we arrived at a small port not very large, if I had to say how big it was, I could say that only two small ships would fit.

"Alright, we are already on the island, i will not entertain you, you have 5 hours from this moment, whether or not you find the Mega Stone depends entirely on your luck and how close you are to your Pokémon, i will wait for you here, remember you have 5 hours and then you will have to return" – explained the woman.

Everyone nodded and we decided to leave.

At first we went together but the girls and I decided to separate because finding the Mega Stone did not depend on how many people were looking for.

"Charizard, Lopunny it's time to look for your Mega Stone" – I said taking out my two Pokémon.

Charizard and Lopunny came out of their Pokéball.

Lopunny quickly gave me a hug as Charizard looked around in confusion.

"Guys listen to me, this is the Mega Island, here are the Mega Stone which will allow you Mega Evolve, if you want to find it you have to feel it so for now you can start by trying that" – I explained.

Both Pokémon nodded and closed their eyes, well, it seems that this is working, I'm sure this will not be as difficult as I thought it would be.

But I soon realized my mistakes as both Pokémon opened their eyes somewhat disappointed.

"It's okay, let's take a walk, I'm sure we'll end up finding the Mega Stones" - I said, trying to comfort them.

"Pika pi" – Pikachu nodded.

They both seemed somewhat more animated and we began to walk forward, without any destination.

1 hour later.

We continued walking for a whole hour, occasionally taking a break to test if they could feel anything, but so far we had not had any success, we had just moved from one ecosystem to another and now we were in a kind of open field with numerous flowers around us.

"If the sun never gives them, how can flowers grow here?" – I wondered.

By the way, in case I didn't mention it, Latias was in her Pokéball, for some reason she didn't want to stay in Pallet Town, but she didn't want to go to the Mega Island either so she decided to stay in her Pokéball, don't ask me why because I don't know either.

We kept walking through this field of flowers when suddenly Lopunny stopped in her tracks and closed her eyes.

"What's wrong?" – I asked in confusion.

Charizard and Pikachu also stood thoughtfully looking at Lopunny but Lopunny did not respond until she suddenly opened her eyes and started running in one direction.

"Wait for me, Charizard, Pikachu we have to follow her!" – I said.

I quickly climbed onto Charizard because Lopunny's speed was too fast and we followed her to what appeared to be a cave surrounded by vegetation.

Lopunny stopped in her tracks before entering the cave and turned to look at me.

"Punny!" - she said, pointing to the cave.

Little by little I walked towards the cave until I entered completely.

The cave was quite small and dark, nothing could be seen except for a crystal, it was a completely normal crystal but with a difference, above lay a small crystal stone that had two brown filaments inside.

"It's the Mega Stone, we've found it!" – I said, quickly picking up the stone.

But at that moment, the cave began to shake violently so I ran out of there while putting the stone in my pocket.

"HUMAN!" – a voice suddenly said.

I turned my head around me trying to see what was happening when suddenly the cave broke into pieces and out of it came a Pokémon, specifically an Audino.

"An Audino, what does an Audino do here?" – I asked confused.

But suddenly, the Audino spoke or so it seemed because it didn't even move its mouth.

"I am Audino and I am in charge of protecting the Mega Stone that you have kept in your pocket, human, I will not stop you from taking the stone as long as you beat me in a battle, but remember to use the Pokémon to which needs the Mega Stone, if you win, I will leave and you could take the Mega Stone without any problems, if you lose you will have to return the Mega Stone to me, it is not negotiable" – said the Audino.

Actually, I was astonished and couldn't articulate a word for a few seconds.

"I will not repeat myself, do you agree or not?" – asked the Audino.

Now I understand, this Audino is using telepathy.

"I agree, let's go Lopunny!" – I said with a smile.

"Punny!" - said Lopunny, standing in front of me.

"Very well, then so be it!" – said the Audino.

But suddenly a light enveloped him and when it left he had Mega Evolved into Mega Audino.

"Let's finish this quickly, Lopunny use Drain Punch!"

Lopunny quickly lunged towards Mega Audino, however, he stood still and opened his mouth expelling a large amount of sound that made Lopunny retreat.

"Weak, very weak" – said the Audino.

"Weak? I will prove to you that we are not weak, Lopunny use Drain Punch again!"

Lopunny again threw himself at Mega Audino who proceeded to make the same attack.

"Crouch down!"

Lopunny crouched down avoiding Mega Audino's movement and aimed her fist towards him, however, suddenly, Mega Audino's fist was wrapped in a bright light that hit Lopunny's fist.

"What?" – I said puzzled.

"You're weak, someone like you doesn't deserve the Mega Stone" - Mega Audino said.

And suddenly he used his other fist to send Lopunny flying.

"Are you okay Lopunny?" – I asked nervously.

"Punny!" – nodded.

"You'd better give up, no matter even if you hit me, you are so weak that you won't hurt me and sooner or later you will succumb to tiredness" – Mega Audino said calmly.

I don't like to admit it, but he's right, if I had to measure his level like in a video game, that Audino would be level 80 while my Lopunny could be level 50, a huge gap almost impossible to overcome unless ...

"That's it, I've got it!" – I said suddenly.

"I already told you, no matter what you do, you won't win" – said the Mega Audino.

"We'll see about that, Lopunny grab this!" – I said throwing the Mega Stone at Lopunny.

Lopunny quickly grabbed her with her hand.

Suddenly both stones began to emit a faint glow, I think it's time to say some great words that I always wanted to say.

"We will not give up, if the rival is strong then we will be stronger so, reach your limits and destroy them, MEGA EVOLUTION!" – I shouted.

I put my index and middle fingers on the Key Stone which began to glow and soon lightning came out of it while Lopunny's Mega Stone floated in front of her and lightning began to come out of it colliding with mine.

Suddenly Lopunny was enveloped in a light resembling that of normal evolution and soon a figure was revealed, Mega-Lopunny was in front of me.

"I won't say that your bonds aren't strong, not all trainers can make their Pokémon Mega Evolve so reaching it is a laudable action, however... it won't be enough" - said Mega Audino.

"Are you sure? we'll see that, Lopunny runs!" – order.

With a speed several times the previous one, Lopunny began to rush forward and soon her figure began to blur.

"Oh... I see, not bad" – said Mega Audino somewhat surprised.

Quickly Mega Audino wrapped his fist in a white light again and hit him on his back, where Mega Lopunny had appeared, however, the moment he hit him, Mega Lopunny's figure dissipated.

"A residual figure, how is that possible?" asked Mega Audino looking around for Lopunny.

"Too late, Mega Lopunny is enormously fast, Lopunny use High Jump Kick!"

At that moment Mega Lopunny appeared in front of Mega Audino and gave him a huge knee that sent him flying crashing to the ground in the process.

"Hahaha, not bad, approved, you are approved!" – laughed the Mega Audino.

I noticed that the Mega Audino barely looked damaged by the attack, then raised his hand and Lopunny's Mega Evolution vanished.

"What just happened, how is it possible that you only have a scratch after a direct blow?" – I asked in amazement.

"Don't be surprised human, as a guardian I am enormously strong, the fact that you scratched me already shows your enormous potential, however, despite my strength, I am tied to this place, human you have passed my test, the Mega Stone is yours, I hope you reach new heights with it" – said the Mega Audino.

And then it faded away.

To be honest I was surprised, but I quickly recovered, now I don't have time to dig into the subject, I'd better start looking for Charizard's Mega Stone.

"Anyway you have done very well Lopunny, do you want to rest? Oh and don't worry about your Mega Stone, when we come back to Kanto I'll give you an accessory and we'll put the Mega Stone there" - I said, picking up the Mega Stone from her hands.

Lopunny nodded and decided to go back to her Pokéball to rest, she had already found the Mega Stone and fought a powerful guardian, now it's Charizard's time.

"Come on Charizard, Pikachu let's keep looking" – I said with a smile.

They both nodded and we continued looking for the last Mega Stone.

An hour later.

It had been an hour since we walked again and according to my calculations it was best to leave because it would take a long time to return.

"Don't worry Charizard, we'll come another time and find it" – I said trying to comfort a somewhat depressed Charizard.

But suddenly, his gaze became serious and he looked in a particular direction, a small volcano that was a few kilometers from our position.

Charizard looked at me and I nodded, apparently I had felt the Mega Stone, so I climbed on it and together with Pikachu we went straight to the volcano.

The closer we got the hotter it became, sweat ran down my forehead like a fountain in summer, the heat made me gasp and I seemed to be short of breath.

"Are you okay Pikachu?" – I asked trudly.

Pikachu was also tired and sweating so he just nodded weakly.

Luckily we soon arrived at the place because Charizard came down in front of a cave with a lot of glass around him.

Looking carefully, at the top there was a kind of pedestal where a black and blue stone rested on top.

"It's the Mega Stone, quick Charizard, get it!" – I exclaimed.

The stone was too high for me to pick up so it had to be Charizard to do it, but just then, a Pokémon came out of somewhere because I couldn't even feel its presence.

It was a Houndoom, but already in its Mega form.

"Human, I can't let you take the Mega Stone without passing a test beforehand" - said the Mega Houndoom.

"Do you want a fight?" – I asked something serious.

"I see, I guess you already met another guardian, yes, some of them prefer a fight to prove that you are worthy, but my test is another one completely different" – said the Mega Houndoom.

"What do you want us to do?" – I asked confused.

"My test is simple, you have to show me how strong your bond is" - he replied.

"How do we prove that?" – I asked.

"Very easy, you have a chance for your Pokémon to Mega Evolve, otherwise you will give me the Mega Stone and leave here" - he replied.

"Only that?" – I asked confused.

"Although it may not seem like it, the process of Mega Evolution depends on how strong your bond with your Pokémon is, Mega Evolve your Pokémon on the first attempt is not an easy thing even if your bond is strong, so, for me, proving that you have an indestructible bond is essential, now proceed human and remember, you only have one chance" – commented the Mega Houndoom.

Charizard and I looked at each other and nodded, he already had the Mega Stone so I just had to concentrate, feel the same as I felt with Lopunny.

I thought about everything that had happened with Charizard since he was a Charmander and suddenly, a warm feeling began to arise inside me making both stones shine.

"Not bad" – said the Houndoom.

"We have lived a lot, we have gone through a lot but our past does not condition us, on the contrary, all our experiences have only strengthened us ... Reach your limits and destroy them, MEGA EVOLUTION!" – I shouted.

Suddenly, multi-colored rays began to come out of my Key Stone and the Mega Stone causing them to collide with each other and causing Charizard to wrap herself in the same light as Lopunny.

The light only lasted a few seconds because in a few seconds it appeared...

"Mega-Charizard X" – I said in amazement.

"I will be brief human, the bond you both share is certainly somewhat surprising, you have surprised even me, not many manage to pass my test, congratulations, the Mega Stone is yours, I hope your dreams come true" – said the Mega-Houndoom.

And then it disappeared just like the Mega-Audino did.

Charizard's Mega also vanished and I kept her Mega Stone in my backpack.

"Charizard we have 10 minutes left, we have to go back!" – I exclaimed.

I quickly climbed into Charizard and together with Pikachu we went to meet with the others.

But unbeknownst to Ash, suddenly, in one of the pockets of his backpack a Mega Stone was formed, its color was slightly purple with a red stripe in its center and two small purple on its sides, it was the Latiasite.
