Stronger Bonds

After restocking their supplies from the Pokemart, Altro and Celeste came back to the Pokemon center. It's already night so Altro decided to continue his journey to his next destination, Cerulean City tomorrow.

Inside the room he rented. Altro gave Rock slide TM to Mew.

"Mew," Altro called out. To which Mew looked at him. Seeing Altro's serious expression, Mew also became serious.

"It's already been more than a week since you hatched, and we can start your serious training anytime."

Hearing this, Mew nodded excitedly. For the last few days, the only training Mew did was Calm Mind and learn psychic by practicing on some weak wild Pokemons that attacked them. That's so boring. Of course, she wants some excitement.

"But before we start, let me tell you about yourself and how you came to me." Hearing Altro's words, all his Pokemon became interested. Pikachu and Gyarados' Pokeballs shook, suggesting that they want to come out and listen. Haunter also came out of Altro's shadow.

Everyone knew how Haunter, Gyarados, and Pikachu met Altro. But there was no mention of Mew's egg. They also want to know about their little sister.

"So what happened was." Altro started recounting his story of how he was teleported to the World Tree and about the Mew tribe and their request to take Mew. Also, his goal of fighting against the Pokemon God, Arceus.

"Then, I was teleported back to the cemetery where I met Gastly."

Listening to Altro's story, all his Pokemon were dumbfounded. What it means to fight against a god they can't even imagine, hell they never knew about the existence of Arceus, the Pokemon god and now a person wants to challenge him and that person happens to be their trainer.

Now they admire their Master even more.

Now Gyarados believes that becoming the strongest Gyarados is a very small goal compared to his Master's.

*Haunt~* (Master, I'll become strong enough to fight gods alongside you.)

Haunter also has pride in being Altro's first Pokemon. Now Haunter also has a goal for himself. He wants to stand beside his master when he challenges the gods.

Gyarados and Pikachu were also boosted with determination.

Altro smiled, seeing their reaction. He didn't expect that his story will bring such an effect. The trust his Pokemon have for him was beyond Altro's expectations.

Altro looked at Mew, who was silent all the time, and returned to her real form. He also understood that she will need some time after all the things he told her. Fighting Arceus and becoming the strongest Pokemon in the universe is already an unachievable goal. The pressure will be beyond his imagination and they are going to challenge that road. So Mew's reaction is expected. She is just a newborn, after all.

*Mii~Mi* (Papa~ Are you not my Papa?)

Hearing this, Altro understood that he misunderstood Mew. She had other concerns.

"Why do you think so?" Altro asked, pulling her close to him.

*Mii~Mi~Mi* (Because you said I come from the World Tree. Doesn't that mean World Tree is my parent? And you are not my Papa~ *Sniff*) At the end of her sentence tears started coming out of her eyes.

"Hey, shush. Calm down and listen." Altro stopped Mew from crying and asked her to look at him.

"Although I did bring you from the World Tree. But unlike other Mew, you were nourished by my energy when you were an egg. Your birth is different from other Pokemon and humans. But the only one who nourished you with his energy so that you could come to this world was me. So what am I to you?" Altro asked kindly while giving a reasonable explanation.

Mew rubbed the tears from her eyes and smiled cheerfully.

"Good girl," Altro said while rubbing her head.

Mew suddenly looked up at him.

"Hm?"

*Mii~Mii~Mi* (I want to become the strongest Pokemon. But if I managed to achieve it. I want you to fulfill a wish of mine.)

Altro thought about it and asked. "What wish?" He will try his best if he can fulfill it.

*Mii~Mii* (I haven't decided yet.)

"Okay, fine. I promise." Although it was not in Altro's nature to make a promise like that, but today was an exception.

Haunter and Pikachu looked at their Master, and Mew as they thought. 'Their Master is unfair.'

'But they like it this way.'

The next day, Altro woke up early to start traveling to Cerulean City. Currently, he was entering Route 3. But for some reason, Celeste was still with him.

He thought they will separate today. He was curious, but he didn't ask. Because he was being challenged by a lot of trainers today.

Altro let Mew gain some experience from these battles. Because it was time to start some serious training for Mew.

It was funny seeing those trainers' unwilling reaction by losing to cute-looking Ralts. If only they knew they were facing the legendary Mew. Unfortunately, they don't.

Anyway, Mew was getting a lot of experience from those battles and the growth was much faster than his other Pokemons. Altro already expected this. He was sure, very soon she will surpass all of them.

"Ralts use Rock Slide."

And the Pidgey in front of her was knocked out.
