Another week on the road and one stop at a ruin later, Ace returned back to Oreburgh.
This time the ruin was relatively normal, some runes and the like, nothing special. However, the Map updated again.
Ace didn't know what kind of treasure hunt Arceus was putting him on… But as long as there were more Ruins, Ace wasn't complaining!
Another point, the Lucky Streak ran out.
But not before giving away good things!
The main thing was a Time Portal!
Ace was really dumbfounded, when he saw it.
[Hisuian Time Portal]
Apparently, this thing is a portal to Ancient Hisui! But there was nothing in it, like a wasteland! The only part that was a bit worrying was that this thing disappeared! Like just fizzled out of existence!
But when Ace returned to Oreburgh, he knew the reason…
There was a huge crack in the Mural with the Portal inside!
Speaking of, Cynthia was already there, looking at the portal while rubbing her chin.
This pot wasn't on Ace's head, but something mysterious that came from the Mural itself! After all, Ace was still soaking in Elesa when this portal appeared.
So how could it possibly be him?
At any rate, Oreburgh had an influx of people, mainly researchers and professors. They had sent people inside to see what was going on while Kukui called the Ultra Beast Hunting team just in case.
They all came to figure out that it was just a wasteland. But they unearthed a map in ancient Sinnoh language that Cynthia translated as 'Hisui World Map', everyone was shocked by this discovery and Cynthia called Ace several times.
The only problem was, Ace had his hands full literally and didn't even notice.
So, the scene today.
Ace landed back at his house and hugged Tyrantrum, who lunged at him happily. He rubbed the Dino's head, "Did you miss me?" He let out his Pokemon and let them rest, only Dragapault stayed in his shadow, very comfortable.
Ace walked over to the Spring and threw all the Tokens he accumulated inside.
He selected the new upgrades very carefully, having thought about them on the way here.
[Gene Perfecting Upgrade- Slowly Perfects Genetics]
[Advanced Healing Upgrade- Soothes pain and restores injuries accumulated, including hidden injuries or old injuries.]
[Human Restoration Upgrade- Will rejuvenate humans and fix biological problems, injuries, illnesses, etc. Even Old people will 'feel young again' when soaking in this Hot Spring for a while.]
[Draconic Energy Upgrade- Empowered with Dragon Energy, providing various benefits for periods of time including but not limited to; Increased fertility, enhanced strength, happiness, etc.]
[Draconic Energy+ Upgrade- Dragon Pokemon will slowly accumulate experience inside by absorbing Dragon Energy particles. Will increase aspects of Dragon Pokemon slightly, and boost Health Levels.]
Afterwards, Ace flipped his hand, holding a stack of tokens, going over them again.
[Void Stone Mine Upgrade] thrown to the Mines
[General Mine Upgrade] Thrown
[Cold Steel Ore Vein Mine Upgrade] Thrown
[Black Augurite Veins Mine Upgrade] Thrown
[Whole Mine Quality Upgrade]
Ace held that last one and waited for the Earthquakes to settle before throwing the Token as hard as he could at the Mine.
The entire city shook wildly for a few moments before calming down.
Ace looked at the Mine and a screen appeared
[Oreburgh City Mine- Lv7]
[Specialties- Vibranium, Adamantium, Energy Gems,...]
[Peculiarities- Attack Mode Steelix, Defense Mode Steelix, Diamond-Tipped Drillbur and Excadrill]
Ace was stunned, "There's Drillbur and Excadrill in the Mines?! Where did they come from?" he paused and rubbed his chin, "Maybe they just came over and saw it was a nice place…? After all, they're moles… Moles eat dirt, right?"
Honestly, Ace was just surprised that there wasn't a Larvitar munching on everything down there. The thought of such a Larvitar was really spectacular, if he remembered correctly, the more they ate and the higher the quality, the stronger the Tyranitar.
So if a Larvitar was in this Mine, it would probably be the strongest Tyranitar the world's ever seen, right?
Then again, Oreburgh got orders everyday for Vibranium and Adamantium among other things. There could be an Uber Rich person feeding their Larvitar only these premium ores.
Fun fact; Larvitar can eat rocks, dirt, ores, metals, anything. Apparently, if you let it, it will eat a whole mountain! Don't look at the Pokedex entry… It's really sad.
Ace had some bad taste and wanted to release a little mini troop of Larvitars… but then he forgot about it. While he didn't mind owning a Larvitar, he wasn't sure if these guys would really eat up the entire mine.
Then Ace would only be able to cry.
You really have to be strict with these little bastards otherwise you'll even lose the foundation to your house! Thinking about it, they were like pests.
Cute and huggable little pests.
Maybe Ace had strange tastes. Most Pokemon people thought were cute were kinda ugly in his eyes, but the ones people were afraid of were cute for him.
Well, this guy likes getting molested so his opinion basically doesn't matter at all!
Ace: ????
Moving on~
Ace swiped the screen away and slipped into the Hot Spring, relaxing. He paused as he felt like he forgot something but then threw away the feeling, enjoying some quiet time.
The new and improved Hot Spring was really too comfortable!
Look! Even Cynthia is enjoying it!
Hold up, wait a minute. Something ain't right!
Ace turned and shouted in shock, "HOLY FUCK!" Cynthia looked at him and frowned, "What happened?" Ace nearly jumped in fright, patting his chest, "What happened?! You appeared in my Hot Spring out of nowhere! How did you do that?!"
Cynthia waved and rolled her eyes, "Just this? I thought something happened in the City. I've been here for a while now." Ace froze and Cynthia continued explaining, "Anyway, I brought my own food and sheets. I've been living in your house for a week now."
Ace: ??????
He was dumbfounded, "You've been living in my house??" Cynthia sighed and stretched her arms, "Anyway, the hotels aren't as comfortable as your house. I did the laundry, took out the garbage, and cleaned the house. By the way, Ace, you had some food that went bad so I took care of those for you. Also, these apples are really great…"
Ace calmed down and looked at Cynthia speechlessly, asking seriously, "Could it be that this is actually YOUR house?" Cynthia laughed softly, waving at him, "Did you hit your head in Nimbasa City? What a funny question."
Ace added seriously, "You're really nonchalant for someone who broke into someone else's house." Cynthia pulled out a key, "Huh? Elesa gave me a key." Ace nodded, "Oh, she gave you a key…"
He threw a towel at the ground, shouting, "THE PROBLEM IS I DIDN'T GIVE HER ONE!" Cynthia was speechless for a few moments before coughing, "Well, anyway, did you see the Portal?" Ace sank back into the Hot Spring, blowing bubbles angrily, "The Space-Time Rift, yeah, I saw it."
Cynthia looked at him in surprise, "Huh?" Ace rolled his eyes, explaining, "Mural. Arceus, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina. Cracks. Ancient Aura. What else is it if not a Space-Time Rift? A teleportation device to another planet full of sexy aliens?"
Cynthia muttered, "When you say it like that…" before pausing, "Sexy aliens?" Ace nodded, "Of course, you think Aliens don't exist?" Cynthia waved a finger, "No, I was more concerned with the 'Sexy' part…"
Ace skimmed over this, "Anyway, where did the Rift lead to." Cynthia dropped the previous topic, smiling excitedly, "Hisui!" Ace said, "Oh!" Cynthia's lips twitched, "You're SO excited, I see…" Ace shrugged and looked at her, "It makes sense. Hisui is Ancient Sinnoh. If you told me it brought you to a Hyper Advanced Robot Civilization, then I would've been surprised."
Cynthia rolled her eyes and invited him, "Tomorrow, come look with me." Ace frowned, "I have stuff to do…" Cynthia added, "We found a ruin." Ace replied, "Turns out I'm free?" Cynthia laughed and nodded, "It's not exactly a ruin, more of a…"
She was having a hard time explaining it, "It's the remnants of a town." Ace calculated, asking, "Jubilife Village?" Cynthia was shocked, "How did you know?!" Ace smiled, "Jubilife is the closest town here, if you didn't land in Ancient Oreburgh, then it must be somewhere close. Did you find anything yet?"
Cynthia shook her head, frowning, "Seems like the Ruin we found in Mt Coronet was true. The entire place is like a wasteland…" Ace frowned and sighed, "Well… I'll take a look tomorrow." Cynthia nodded and smiled, "And? How was your trip? I saw the second set of pictures."
Ace smiled and nodded, "It was great! Really fun." Cynthia covered her mouth and laughed, "I bet!" Ace's lips twitched, "Speaking of, do you have a Boyfriend?" Cynthia paused and looked at him strangely.
Ace's face twitched, "I didn't mean it like that. I can barely handle one lunatic, you want me to take care of 2? You're out of your goddamn mind." Cynthia rolled her eyes, clicking her tongue, "I'm a lunatic?" Ace nodded seriously as her lips twitched.
Cynthia snorted, "Well, if you really have to know. I don't!" Ace looked at her for a few seconds before saying emotionally, "Are you saving yourself for me? Tsk tsk, it's really a blessing and curse being this handsome…"
Cynthia splashed him, laughing angrily, "And you call ME a lunatic??" Ace smiled and chuckled, "By the way, I have a gift for you!" Cynthia looked at him in surprise, "For me?"
Ace nodded and took out a bunch of Castelia Cones, he handed one to Noivern, who crawled over to Garchomp, "Noi! Noivern!" Garchomp looked at the Castelia Cone and then Noivern before snorting, "Gar." as she took the cone, eating it.
Noivern laughed, "Noi Noi… Haha…"
Ignoring that SIMP!
Ace handed over the Castelia Cone to Cynthia, eating one for himself as he held out a bunch more for all the Pokemon. They all took one and ate it happily.
