S5E7: Oreburgh City - Part One

The next morning as Dawn slowly opened her eyes and yawned she found Joy snuggled up into her arms like some kind of plushy. This made her smile as she was careful to slide out of her sleeping bag without waking Joy. Dawn then changed out of her her sapphire and silver pajamas and into a dark-blue skirt with little silver and blue tassel like frills along the bottom. As for a top she sipped on a simple gray eevee t-shirt with dark-blue sleeves. For her hair she then pulled it back into a pony tail before tying it off with a blue and silver ribbon. Dawn then carefully gathered her things so as not to wake the still sleeping Joy.

Speaking of Joy she was laying in the center of the tent occasionally kicking or twitching as she dreamed. What was she dreaming about? Well, unfortunately that isn't completely within our rating to show or tell you that other then part of it included a pokemon battle, a party and a really late night. Oh and Dawn was in the dream as well but again can't say all that was going on in that little head of Joy's. So we'll just move along from here and let her sleep.

Next up then would be the hero of our tale, Foxx. Well to his luck it didn't end up raining during the night and thus the fire remained lite and he remained both warm and dry. However he did get up before the other two by a great deal. He even had time to change out of his pokeball pajamas into his normal outfit and pack up his things before Dawn even began to wake up. Thus he sat at the camp fire waiting on them at least until his stomach began to rumble to which he decided to start on some breakfast.

Shortly after Breakfast was finished Dawn had been out at the fire watching him cook but didn't want to risk another argument just yet thus she remained silent. As for Joy, once the scent of food cooking hit her nose she snapped awake and strolled out to them with a smile on her face and not just because of the food being dished out.

After a very quiet and awkward breakfast Foxx packed up the rest of the camp before the trio began their approach to the city. No longer able to handle the silence Dawn sighed before handing Foxx his telepathic link back to him.

"Thanks for letting me use this or at least I hope you don't mind that I used it since you left it in the tent I figured you were okay with it." confessed Dawn a bit nervous in how he'd respond to her having it.

"It's fine I figured you and Joy could chat and possible help each other." replied Foxx still showing no emotion or hint to what was really going on in his head and heart.

"Thanks it helped." sighed Dawn not really sure what to think as Foxx placed the link in his pocket.

"I'm glade what would you like to do first when we get to the city?" asked Foxx as they continued down the path.

"If we're to make it to my parents before the end of the week we should swing into the gym and get you that badge before moving on our way." replied Dawn with a smile.

"True but we have time for other things too." replied Foxx, "Besides wouldn't you like to stay the night in a hotel at least once on this trip?"

"We can always do that in Jubilife City since we'll have to pass through it along the way." replied Dawn as they began to enter the city and she even risked to take his hand in hers.

"True but I think it wouldn't hurt for us to explore the city here and stay the night in the hotel before heading out in the morning and that way we reach Jubilife City by mid-day and then can visit with Professor Rowan for a bit before staying the night again in a hotel. Then the next morning we head out to your home town." replied Foxx with a smile as he took her hand in his and started off towards one of the shops he knew she'd enjoy.

"Foxx, What are you doing? Isn't the main point of even stopping here for you to get the gym badge?" asked Dawn as she was gently pulled along the way by Foxx towards the first of the shops he was wanting to let her shop at.

"I can challenge the gym leader anytime, but I don't often get to go shopping with you." replied Foxx with a smile as they entered the first shop.

"And I can always go shopping." sighed Dawn as they entered in and her breath was just taken away by all of the cool pokemon and trainer outfits.

"Yah but this is a new shop and with me you're not limited on your funding." replied Foxx with a smile as he held out his credit card.

"Why do you insist on spending all of your money on me?" asked Dawn as she finally was able to pull her hand free of his, not that it was that hard to do.

"Because I love you and want you to be happy." replied Foxx with a smile as he gestured towards the many outfits. "So go pick something out for yourself and for me."

"What will you be doing?" asked Dawn with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh that's a surprise." replied Foxx as he almost melted into the store crowd leaving Dawn to look around in confusion and wonder. Here they had a huge fight last night, barely said a word to each other all morning and now he's wanting to buy her a whole new outfit. She really was never going to figure out what goes on inside of Foxx's mind but then again I really don't think she let alone anyone wants to see what goes on in there.
