S4E11: Journey To The Final Gym

After a relaxing night in the city hotel Foxx, Joy, and Silvia got easy to head for the last island in their journey before returning to Professor Ivy. Now this time they had a little more time to reach their destination because the championship wouldn't be fore a few days thus Foxx decided to give Gyarados a break and bought them two tickets on the ferry heading to Pummelo Island, to their final battle.

So with Joy at his side Foxx boarded the small ferry and found a table to rest at and relax as they waited for the ship to set sail. As for Silvia she was not as punctual to getting up nor getting to the ferry. In fact she had to run to board the ship just as it was about to take off from port. What had her so delayed you may be wondering well Foxx was for sure wondering what it was.

"So, what was the hold up?" teasingly asked Foxx as Silvia pantingly found a seat next to him and Joy, who was glaring at her.

"Oh, I woke up late and then wanted to get you and Joy a gift for allowing me to join you on this journey." panted Silvia with a smile as she pulled two small boxes out of her bag and slide them towards Foxx before adding, "The one on the let is yours while the one on the right is for Joy."

"You know you didn't have to get me anything right?" asked Foxx as he looked at the boxes and not wanting to make Joy angry by just opening it up.

"Yes but I also know Joy doesn't like me for some reason and I was hoping this would help." confessed Silvia as she began to play with a strand of her hair.

"I see, well getting me a gift wont help that." replied Foxx with a sigh.

"I know that's because I was hoping to get closer to you." confessed Silvia with a smile which forced Foxx to give Joy a warning glare before she got a chance to do anything.

"Silvia it's a nice thought but I really must confess that part of the reason Joy doesn't like you is because you're trying to get close to me." confessed Foxx looking down at the table trying to gather his thoughts which didn't help that Joy was also mentally yelling within his head.

"Why wouldn't she want me to get close to you? Doesn't she want you to have any friends?" asked Silvia with a frown.

"She, afraid you will take away my love for you or my love for Dawn." confessed Foxx.

"Dawn? Who's Dawn? asked a slightly confused Silvia not sure if this was another one of his pokemon or what.

"Dawn is my, well I think girlfriend." replied Foxx, "We meet just before Christmas and well think started off with her as they did with you as far as Joy goes and it wasn't until I explained to Joy that the love I have for Dawn is different then the love I have for her and thus Dawn could never take it away. Over time Joy grew on her and I think now she's more afraid of me giving away the love I have for Dawn to another girl."

"I see." sighed Silvia as she started to get up from her chair only for Foxx to reach out and gently touch her hand.

"That doesn't mean I can't have any friends." replied Foxx with a smile, "Joy just needs t get used to the fact that there are different kinds of love a person can have for another. The love I have for Dawn is not the same I have for her nor you. Don't get me wrong you're a wonderful girl but I'm already in a relationship with Dawn, and when I'm done here I plan to go looking for her in the Hoen region."

"But the love I have for you isn't the same as what you have for me." sighed Silvia looking down at her hand of which Foxx was holding. "How can we then just be friends when I want us to be so much more?"

"We can at least try. Let's finis this thing together then you can help me with my research before I head on my way, yet once I leave I want to still remain in contact with you." explained Foxx with a smile, "And maybe one day I'll introduce you to Dawn and the two of you can be friends."

"Okay, but only if Joy is okay with it." sighted Silvia looking down at Joy who gave her a smile trying to understand the complex relationships of humans.

From there they just made small talk as Foxx opened the gifts to find she had gotten him a vulpix lapel pin while she got Joy a charm collar with a silver coin with a K engraved on one side of it and miniature versions of each of the Kanto badges on the back side. Which was puzzling until Silvia explained it was for the Kanto Region where she'd faced off and beaten all of the gyms along side Foxx, and that she had ordered it way back at the first island. This made fox want to get one made for their battle on the train victory as well but then figured it would just be way too much.

By the end of the journey Joy had climbed into Silvia's lap, which was the fastest she'd really taken to anyone. Not even Misty had earned her trust that quickly and there was a three year gap between the not to mention the fact that both Foxx and Joy have a theory that Misty and Ash secretly love each other and are just too stubborn to act on it. Joy even allowed Silvia to carry her off the boat only to jump to the ground once they were indeed on solid ground which made Foxx laugh before explaining that she really doesn't like boats too much after the journey to Professor Ivy's lab.
