The Ghost of Hoenn's Elite Four

"Hi I'm Phoebe. The Ghost of Hoenn's Elite Four." At that moment everyone pauses and it feels like time stands still for a minute as everyone turns to look at Phoebe. While everyone else walks over to talk to Phoebe. Finn walks up, bends down on one knee, and looks at her shadow. Machi notices Finn and she pats his head. (Much to Eevee's resentment) "Somebody is smarter than they look."

She then walks over to Phoebe and leans against her. "Ghost Pokémon who have high trust and love for their partner can live in their shadow without needing to be called out with a Pokeball. Phoebe is the best Ghost trainer in the world. She doesn't have any Pokeballs on her as you can tell. Her whole team is in her shadow. Isn't that cool." Everyone is in awe looking at Phoebe.

Phoebe looks at Machi and her smile fades.

Phoebe "Machi..."

Machi "Yes Phoebe?" As Machi finishes her sentence a shadow rises from behind Phoebe. Everyone takes a step back from the pressure that the Pokemon is exuding. Even Finn and Eevee can't move because of the pressure.

Machi turns around slowly to see a giant Dusknoir. She then starts frantically apologizing for her actions. 

Phoebe "How many times have I told you not to do that exact thing you just did?"

Machi quickly runs over and hides behind Finn. Dusknoir rears back with its right hand ready to delivery a massive Shadow Punch on anything in its way. 

Phoebe "Dusknoir use Shadow Punch"

Purple and black energy envelope Dusknoirs hand and forearm and it throws a punch with all its strength directly at Finn. Everyone else can only watch as Machi hides behind Finn who is about to get punched by an elite level Pokemon. 

Dusknoir throws the Shadow Punch towards Finn, as that happens Eevee jumps on to Finns shoulder and looks at Dusknoir with an angry expression awaiting the same fate as Finn. Right as the punch should connect, Dusknoir stops his fist from hitting Finn and Eevee not but an inch away from their faces.

Machi jumps out from behind Finn laughing. "See. I told you he wouldn't move."

Phoebe "I guess you were right, and since you were right. You get to do all of Brendan's chores this week for making me angry." Dusknoir then descends back into Phoebe's shadow without taking it's eyes off Finn.

Machi tries to plea with Phoebe but she has already made up her mind.  Phoebe walks over to Finn and bows her head. "I'm sorry for all the trouble we have caused you. Machi told me that you guys had potential so I wanted to test you. Seeing as you were the only one to pass my test I have a gift for you when we get to the top floor. As for the rest of you. Next time I test you please don't fail. Now, let's head upstairs. There's someone I want you to meet and I'll show you to your rooms."

Everyone follows Phoebe and Machi to the next floor which is only accessible to the Elite Four and their guests. They arrive at a set of double doors and the room doesn't look that big until they step inside. The first room they see is a battle arena and to one side are two benches with changing rooms on either side, one male and one female. There is another door to the far right, in the room is a lounge area with two couches in an L shape facing a TV mounted on the wall. In front of the couches is a square wooden coffee table with a cylindrical incubator on it. Behind the lounge area there are four doors that are bedrooms with two beds in each.

After the group looks around the arena for a bit they walk over to the lounge area and there is someone sitting on the couch watching the news with a Delcatty laying down on their lap. The guy on the couch is wearing a red and black shirt and black shorts with green and white shoes. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He is wearing a white beanie with a red logo across a black headband stitched to the beanie.

The Delcatty springs up and jumps in front of the coffee table growling at the people entering the room. "Kiki relax, it's just the new students." The guy calls back his Delcatty and she jumps back on to the couch and lays back down on him. The whole group walks in and introduces themselves to everyone that doesn't know him. "It's nice to meet you all, my name is Brendan." 

The couches are identical with three seats on each. From left to right on the couch directly facing the TV are Michael-Gardenia-Brendan. On the other couch are Phoebe-Machi-Emelia. Seeing as how there are six seats and seven people, Finn decides to lay down on the floor facing the TV on the opposite couch as Phoebe, Machi, and Emelia.

Phoebe "Whatcha doing here Brendan?" 

Brendan "I got your message and got the egg you wanted and the announcement is today so I wouldn't miss it for the world."

Emelia "What announcement?"

Phoebe "Before the announcement lets talk about the Phanpy in the room. This egg as you can tell is not a normal egg. It looks like someone has drawn a face on it but that's not the case. The breeder said that they received it that way. Initially I was going to give the egg to Machi but she decided to leave without permission and then she leaned on me even though I tell her to stop doing that." Midway through her explanation she glares at Machi who responds by looking at the TV whistling.

Phoebe "As I was saying, I have decided to give it to whoever passed my test. Seeing as only one person passed. The egg goes to Finn." Finn then sits up and looks at the egg. 

Brendan looks shocked. "He was the one that passed? That's surprising."

Finn looks at Brendan with a straight face. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Brendan raises both of his hands as if to show he's unarmed. "I didn't mean to insult you I apologize. I just thought it would be the aspiring Gym leader or the goth brooding one."

Michael looks at his clothes "Goth?"

Everyone has a quick laugh then Phoebe starts talking about the announcement. "The announcement is about a region that none of us have been to but it's still important. The Galar region is finally making their own Elite Four. Brendan wants to see how strong they are. As an Elite Four I'm sure every other member is watching as well." 

Right as Phoebe finishes the TV screen cuts away to a field with five people on a stage and a lot of press and other people present to watch. A man with a grey suit is standing in front of the mic.

"Hello as most of the viewers may not know me. My name is Rose and I am the chairman of the Galar Pokemon League and I have been so long to finally announce this. The Galar Region now has its own Elite Four!"
