Chapter 6: First Training Session

I woke up early in the morning feeling refreshed and opened the window. I then started to tease Weedle awake.

Weedle, "bzz bzz?"

Hideshi, "Weedle, starting today, when I go to class, you have to stay in your Poké Ball obediently."

After speaking, he placed a Poké Ball in front of Weedle.

Weedle understood and pressed the button on the Poké Ball with the spike on his head.

I saw the Poké Ball open and Weedle turning into white light to then get absorbed inside.

Then the Poké Ball closed again and Hideshi looked at the registered Poké Ball in his hand with accomplishment.

Releasing Weedle back into the room, Hideshi started to prepare Weedle's breakfast, which consists of milk and honey, on the table.

Weedle immediately after seeing the breakfast climbed over and started to eat.

Hideshi made his own breakfast and ate slowly.

After breakfast, Hideshi said to Weedle, "We're going now"

Weedle consciously waited for Hideshi to receive himself in the Poké Ball.

Taking out the Poké Ball and putting Weedle away, he said to Weedle inside, "This might not be the best Poke Ball but I promise to give you a better one."

Then I went to school.

I came to the classroom and sat down, and Akichi followed me.

As soon as I sat down, Akichi asked, "Hideshi, did your Pokemon egg hatch?"

Hideshi nodded, "Yes, it hatched."

Akichi asked again, "What Pokémon was it?"

"A Weedle"

"Oh, It turned out to be Weedle, don't worry you can get a better Pokemon later."

After Hideshi heard this he angrily said silently, "I will show you who has the better Pokemon."

After school, Hideshi didn't go home. Instead, he went to a small forest not far from home and while it was a small forest compared to the Viridian forest. It was in fact, still very large.

It's easy for people who have never been here to get lost.

Hideshi found an open place and put the backpack under a tree.

Looking at his watch, which he only bought recently mainly for timekeeping. He released Weedle from his Poké Ball.

"bzz bzz" Weedle yelled to Hideshi.

Hideshi still not fully understanding what he means guessed that it was asking him, "What do you want me to do?"

Hideshi squatted down and looked at Weedle and said, "Weedle, starting today, you are about to start exercising. "

Weedle was energetic now, thinking it was fun to exercise and immediately nodded.

"Well, since you want to, then I will start exercising with you."

"First, let's run three laps around these trees."

When Weedle saw Hideshi running, he also ran after him.

Weedle's body consists of a total of eight body segments, of which there are seven pairs of feet. So with fourteen feet moving together, he can run at a decent speed for his size.

Weedle's species strength is very average, especially with a speed stat of 50.

Hideshi also took a rest next to him. He was also really tired. As one circle of this small forest is about 1,000 meters, therefore three laps are three kilometres.

In his previous life, Hideshi would have got very tired after running three laps. Although the physique of people in the Pokémon world is very good, he still is only a 10-year-old child.

Hideshi did not have an abnormal physique like children in the anime, it can only be said that it's better than the average 10-year-old in the previous life.

After Hideshi finishes resting, he walks to Weedle and says, "That was just Performance training, now is time to practice using your moves."

Weedle yelled, "BZZ BZZ". Weedle was tired and didn't want to practice anymore.

Hideshi tried to patiently encourage Weedle. But Weedle was still unwilling to train

In the end, Hideshi promised to give it something delicious after they went back home, and Weedle reluctantly agreed.

"Weedle, first release all the moves you know, at this tree." Hideshi pointed to the tree in front of Weedle.

Weedle first released String Shot and then used Bug Bite against the tree. Finally, he used his tail to use Poison Sting.

After the Weedle stopped. Hideshi looked at the end result of those moves while there was no damage inflicted on the tree it was a good first attempt.

Now while unfortunately, Weedle does not have the move Electro Web, it does mean Hideshi has more time to practice Weedle's other moves.

"Very good, Weedle."

Weedle was very happy to hear Hideshi praise him and replied happily "bzz bzz."

Hideshi asked Weedle cast String Shot at a distance, to take a look at the range of Weedle's String Shot.

Then continued to test how many times Weedle can use String Shot.

String Shot can be used 7 times, ranging at 5m.

Hideshi took out a notebook to record this data.

Next is the move Bug Bite, Hideshi took out a small wooden stick to let Weedle use Bug Bite to test its power more closely.

The result is not ideal, only a shallow tooth mark is left on the wooden stick.

The power is minuscule however, that is mostly related to Weedle's new birth.

Finally is the move Poison Sting, after that test is over. Hideshi writes down the result.

Hideshi lets Weedle continue to use String Shot again, and once String Shot is used up. Continue to then use up Bug Bite, then Poison Sting.

The main purpose of doing this is to improve endurance, and it can even be said to force Weedle to improve its potential.

After training, Hideshi took out some Milkank milk for Weedle to drink.

When Weedle had enough rest after eating, he made Weedle run around the trees again.

Hideshi followed Weedle and watched Weedle slowly crawl around the lap without saying anything.

Because Hideshi knows Weedle is tired.

Waiting for Weedle to finish running, it immediately crawled up to him and played dead.

Hideshi saw Weedle looking like this and laughed as he walked up to Weedle's side.

"Okay! Today's training is over. Let's go home and eat delicious food."

Hearing that he can eat something delicious, Weedle immediately got up and yelled, "bzz bzz."

Taking the tired Weedle back into the Poké Ball, he headed home with his backpack.

Back home in the evening, Hideshi took out some honey and milk.

He put some honey in the milk, poured it into the food bowl, and passed it to Weedle. Weedle who could hardly wait began to feast on it.

After eating, Hideshi takes Weedle to the bath.

After taking a shower, Hideshi started to massage Weedle muscles although Hideshi did not know how to massage he tried his best.

But pressing on the Pokémon is still somewhat effective, and most importantly, it is quite comfortable.

The tired Weedle fell asleep quickly during the massage.

After finishing the massage, Hideshi put Weedle on the bed. Took out his notebook and started to reread the data again after he reread he started to write a summary of today.

After today's observation, Hideshi can conclude that Weedle's Characteristic Trait is Shield Dust.

Shield Dust is a characteristic trait that enables Weedle to be hit by a move that can cause damage in battle, and any additional effects of that move are invalid.

After the conclusion, Hideshi went to bed to rest.

After Hideshi fell asleep. Azure energy was slowly injected into Weedle's body.
