Karl returned Eloise's stare as she closed her eyes and raised her head, finding it difficult to accept a loss. "Let's call it a draw; we'll fight this match again." She stated.

Karl did not respond to her, instead speeding up the treadmill, which he continued to do.

Karl pressed the fastest speed button and was still alright, but Eloise had to take a step back owing to the wind intensity. To separate Karl from the wind, everyone in the gym stopped whatever they were doing and started watching Karl.

Karl eventually got off the treadmill and opened his eyes.

Everyone in the gym started clapping as he came to a halt. Karl looked around with a puzzled expression, wondering what had happened. "My God, I can't believe you ran for an hour straight at 30m per second on that treadmill." Eloise said, covering her face. "Fine, you're a worthy adversary; what do you want?"

"...you were standing here for an hour?" Karl asked.

"Not just me, but everyone...a it's huge feat, the highest anyone has gone is twenty minutes, and that was done by Regan, a speed type esper."

Karl got off the treadmill and grabbed the bottled water that was on it, gulped it down his throat, then grabbed the towel to wipe away his sweat.

"I can't believe a thirteen-year-old," Eloise said.

"I'm not thirteen," Karl replied right away.

She hastily covered her lips, realizing she had just shouted that out loud. 'Thank God I didn't finish,' she says in her head. "What if you're not thirteen?"

"I'm sixteen, I awakened late" Karl said and walked away from her.

"You can't possibly be serious..." "Are you serious?" she asked again as she raced up to him.

That's when Rachel and the others arrived, fully dressed. "How did your night go, Karl?"

"I couldn't sleep because someone was pounding on my door all night; how dare you ask for my night when I hardly got any thanks to you."

"Don't blame me, the roaches were terrifying."

"You cut down catastrophes with joy, and you ask me to believe you're afraid of cockroaches?"

"Are you not?" "I am," Pascal stated. " I assumed it was common for everyone."

"...this generation is crazy," Karl observed, looking at Pascal and finding his abrupt change in attitude toward him odd. 'But what's with his nice expression? It bothers me.'

"Yesterday was difficult, I think you should get more rest, but it is perfectly great if you are already fine," Pascal added as he passed past Karl to begin his morning workout, which was a daily practice in the branch.

"Yeah, but Karl was cooler," Rachel said as they went passed Karl and Eloise.

Karl walked out of the gym, and Elosie didn't notice; he ran over the walls, and after a few jumps, he reached the top of the building. As Karl began a push-up stance, black appeared. "Black, when did my training start to affect my standing as a hunter?"

Karl came to a halt as the large bell began to sound loudly; he could see everyone moving in one direction, so he jumped off the rooftop and followed them.

After everyone had gathered in the open air arena for a few moments, the first unit commander appeared.

"Gate breakouts have been recorded in three different regions; I want unit three, unit four, and unit six to handle it; the armed soldiers should provide them with ample backup, and the new kids, two of whom are in one unit, should also join in." The first unit leader spoke up, and everyone scattered immediately.

But she was wearing underneath a short leggings and a mini top, she grabbed one of the collection of a circle object that looked like a badge, placed it on her chest, and tapped it, and immediately her armor began spreading throughout her body. Karl admired the technology, but he couldn't deny he also admired her body. "What exactly are you doing? take one" She stated.

"What exactly is that?" Karl inquired, his eyes as wide as a child's.

"They're called rounders, and they house armor; take one now."

Karl picked a black one and the armor quickly began to spread throughout his body; he couldn't help but be excited as the armor covered his entire body. It was a black turtleneck suit with various black plates, including the breastplate, stomach guards, arm guards, knee and leg guards. Karl took a peek around.

"Do you need a weapon?" Eloise asked

Karl's gaze was drawn to a black coat, and instead of responding to Eloise, he simply rushed away on his own. He took the long back coat and put it on. He then approached Eloise.

'What the hell happened? 'What makes him look so cool?' Eloise blushed slightly as she thought of it, shook her head, and yelled at Karl, "Let's go!!"

"I want to join your unit, ma," Ezelda pleaded.

"Get changed quickly," she said, removing one of the rounders and throwing it at Ezelda, who grabbed it slowly and fastened it to her chest.

Following that, a brown open roof camouflage car drove right in front of them, they all climbed in, and the vehicle drove away, more camouflage vehicles began to travel in the same direction, front of them appears to be the line where the sky meets the land.

"Are we just going to ride into the wilderness now?" Ezelda expressed concern.

"Just watch" Eloise said to her.

The soldier driving sped up and suddenly that line began to part, the sky opened upwards and the land opened downwards, they drove into a tunnel and continued driving till their car sprang out of the tunnel and into the highway, the driver drifted a nice turn and put his foot on the accelerator.

"Yaa-hooo!!!" Ezelda yelled with delight and threw her hands in the air.

"Becareful miss" As he accelerated even further, the soldier driving said.

After a while, they arrived; the gate had opened in front of the road, causing a traffic bottleneck; they had to exit their vehicle and race to the front.

Karl was the first to hop onto cars and raced on them until he reached the destination. "Hey!! "Are you willing to pay for the damages?" Eloise remarked, but she also got on the cars and started making way for herself while the others rushed as fast as they could. They arrived at the gate.

"It's quite large." She stated that she noticed the gate right away.

The gate was crowded, but she and the others made their way to the gate manager, who was also from the Bureaucracy; she displayed her ID, and the manager bowed. "What is the grade?" She inquired.

"S" The attendant said.

Suddenly, some men emerged from the crowd and approached the gate.

"Who are those people?" She inquired as she signed the requisite paperwork before entering.

"They are the second division from Liberty guild, they've been granted the right to this region by the council, and it appears the clan in charge of this area was also in support, I understand their first division is one of America's best, but even their second division isn't lacking."

"...hmm" She nodded, turned around, and her unit members were already assembled.

Karl, Ezelda, Arman, an esper, Demian, a hunter, Tiefrend, a soldier who was supposed to be an assistant and also a transporter along with three other soldiers, and finally Kaleb, the purple-haired person who went to pick them up at the airport.

"Let's go, we will be doing this without the commander" Eloise said as the second in charge.
