Please don’t forget me, your wife!

He pushed the freshly polished door, which had a bell attached to it. This immediately alerted the waiters of their presence. They rushed to Claude and the child's aide, showing them the nearest seat. Even though Claude and the child were dressed shabbily, they still showed great customer service. They received a menu but the child could not read. So Claude read out every single thing on the menu to the boy. The other customers found the father-son duo very appealing. The women squealed in their seats hoping he was single. The said he would eat whatever Claude had gotten since he was not a picky eater.

The holy maiden

The morning had arrived. The birds sang in harmony and the sun shined brighter than usual. Nyx was greeted with a cup of tea from one of her maids. She sat straight in the bed and immediately winced in pain. She had forgotten about last night's exercises. Her cheeks brightened up and the maid held in her giggle. The maid, whose name was Berty, explained that the tea was made from a unique root which aided in soothing the pain. Nyx immediately took a huge gulp and instantly started feeling its effects. After a while, she noticed that Claude had disappeared without waking her up which saddened her a little. The dark elf was currently filled with rage and had a bone to pick with her husband.

Today was the second day of Claude's quick dating and he was matched with Apollonia Alexandria Rha Lyiones. She was the pope's daughter, who was the Ruler of a kingdom in the west of the Lyiones Empire. They had especially effective healing powers which no race could compare to. With the church ruling the kingdom, their religion vastly spread within the continent and their sphere of influence. Emperor Claude de Alger Obelia Rha Lyiones could not be officially acknowledged as the emperor without the church's approval. That is why he ended up wedding the pope's daughter even though they had no common interest whatsoever.

He ambushed her in the Cathedral. Apollonia had fair skin almost as white as snow. Curious green eyes could heal a damaged soul with one glance. She emitted an aura of a saintess but was never declared one. Her raven black curls bounced as she turned around to face her husband. Apollonia's face grew white as she made eye contact with Claude. She thought him to be a murderer and feared being his next victim. She quickly looked to the ground and choked when greeting him. This irritated him because he had done nothing wrong to her.

Claude then proceeded to grasp her hand roughly commanding her to look him in the eyes when she talked to him. Tears rolled down her cheeks. She begged and begged for him to let her go despite that she still did not look him in the eyes. He felt a pang in his heart and swiftly let her hand go. Apollonia felt his distress, and unconsciously she embraced him, her power had made her do that. She felt very uncomfortable doing this since this was the first grown man that she had ever hugged beside her father.

"Am I going to get pregnant?" her voice quavered.

She took a seat on one of the benches in the church and began praying for forgiveness. She feared her innocence might be corrupted. She had never liked men because they were dishonest and cunning.

Claude then sat next to her and whispered "Is it a problem if you got pregnant? You are my wife after all."

She jolted from her seat and fell butt first on the ground, causing her to shriek in pain. She glared at him while rubbing her bruised rump. The emperor lightly chuckled as he finally saw an emotion other than fear. Realising what got him smiling, she speedily returned to her shy demeanour.

Claude picked up Apollonia bridal style, he could feel her heartbeat increasing at an alarming. She had become flustered because of his actions. She didn't utter a word and shut her eyes.

He placed her back gently on the bench and marched to the altar. He took out his rosery and pressed his hands together before attempting to pray. He confessed all his feelings and bad thoughts he had that morning. Apollonia watched silently in disbelief, she thought that he was an evil man though he prayed. This brought a smile to her face, she trotted next to him and kneeled next to him and began praying as well. This went on for a couple of hours.

She opened her eyes to discover an eccentric Claude staring at her. She stumbled back because of the surprise. She tried getting up on her own but she was weak in the knees from all that kneeling. Claude realised her condition and lifted her in his muscular arms once more. She didn't complain or try hiding her gaze. He carried her to her wing in total silence, no words had been expressed.

He used his foot to open the large door and placed her delicately on her queen-sized bed. He kissed her hand to say goodbye and spun on his heel to retreat to his room. She gripped his shirt before he could escape. His eyebrows furrowed because of the surprise. He asked her if she needed anything though she did not say anything. He climbed over her and laid next to her and began narrating to her his remarkable feats. She did not say a word but he knew she was listening. Claude could tell that her favourite story was the one about the dragon he had slain.

Apollonia relaxed and let go of the tension in her body. She had finally understood the man she feared. She faced her fears head-on and kissed them. She was flabbergasted by her actions and punched him straight in the gut. He groaned in pain yet he had done absolutely nothing. He started fake crying exaggerating the pain she had just caused him. She then reflexively uses her healing powers to heal him. She felt a burden in her chest and began tearing up herself. He instantly comforted her.

The innocent lady offered another kiss as an apology...One thing led to another and the afternoon passed by like the wind. After that long workout, Apollonia passed out from exhaustion. Every muscle in her moment had worked but Claude still had lots of Stamina left. He took a cold shower in her room and departed without telling her. She needed the rest.
