Welcome 2 your new life

After that hand shake Momo Lancaster's life suddenly changed, in less then a hour she along with Rochelle Wigglesbe were being escorted out of the Blue Orca Juvenile Detention Center, and once they reached Rochelle's car, which was a Lamborghini by the way. They were making head way on leaving Toronto Canada behind after a single agreement she had earned her freedom, she was now on probation she wasn't new to it and her silent drive to her school, she believed it would be like all the others. Meetings with a probation officer house arrest stuff like that is what she was prepared for but honestly she didn't know what was coming or what she agreed to.

7:01 pm is when they crossed the Canadian border and at 7:10 pm is when they exited the Windsor tunnel. Exiting into the Motor City it self, Detroit city because of the booming automotive industry, the sweet music from Motown Records, the food the shops and you can't forget the D.M.T.A all this ranked Detroit as one of the top cities in the world. The tall building glistening in the evening sunset the beaut of it actually captivated Momo and even she couldn't hid the allure on her face.

After a little longer of a drive they turned onto one of the schools many private roads, this had to pass through security, get pass the school gate and then they were here. The Detroit Metropolitan Technical Academy is a Ivy League high school it was the best of any high school and it even rivals some colleges for the past 75 years this school has been a pillar of education and the campus reflected this.

The campus was big I mean really big the courtyard was huge in the far distance a small three story building could be seen and that small building paled in comparison to the main five, in the center there was a building and the others were on the either side of it imagine a compass that's what it looked like, only one of those buildings would be big enough for any regular school. [But my god this was overkill] is what Momo thought.

Momo was in awe a single.

"Whoa"

Escaped her lips Rochelle chuckled.

"It's impressive right?"

Smiling she lead Momo through the courtyard as the sun disappeared from the sky and the lamp post sprinkled around cut on, besides the two of them the yard was eerily quiet.

"Sooo.. what now"

Momo asked.

"Before anything can I get some grub first I didn't get much for dinner tonight"

"Oh we can for most surly get you nice and fed"

She said in that peppy cheerleader voice.

"But before that you need to meet are... nightly guest"

Momo was confused at this, [nightly guest? who stays at a school over night?] She thought thinking was never Momo's strongest suit, but what little she tried to do was interrupted by a pool. A sludgy black pool of...something appeared out of no where, and out of that pool came out a being that was not of this world.

"What... the hell... is that"

Momo gurgled out she froze in place, her muscles tensed up and she broke out into a cold sweat.

"Whhhha is th-"

She couldn't even finish the word because what she saw felt was unreal to her. After a second the pool dissipated and finally the thing was in it's full unholy glory, it had skin like a reptile, it's head was Cartoonishly big. Its eyes and mouth mirrored the size of it's head, but no nose or ears and no torso it was connected to a body that had two legs that looked like mini elephant legs. It's arms were small and stumpy like a T-Rex and to add the cherry on top it had a tail.

Today was a first for Momo for many things she had a visitor, she road in a Lambo, she was accepted to the best high school in the world and now she was seeing her first monster. The thing hadn't seen them.. well not yet and being someone not willing to pass up on a opportunity, she took a step back to run but she felt resistance she bumped into something or more like someone. She frantically turned around making eye contact with the dark skinned woman who had brought her here.

Seeing the clear terror on Momo's face Rochelle threw on that same joyful smile in spite of the current situation and she simply asked.

"Going somewhere pumpkin?"

"Yea... the hell... away from here"

"Really but why? we just got here"

"What.. lady don't you see that thing"

Momo did what any person would do and pointed at the.. thing, Rochelle glanced up at the thing and then looked back down at Momo.

"Yeah I see it, is there a problem?"

She said it completely unbothered like there wasn't a clear real monster in front of them, Momo" mind was so jumbled that all she could get it out was

"W..hat i...s"

"Oh!"

Rochelle cut her fractured question off.

"You want to know what that is?"

Momo nodded because all words were lost and it was all she could do.

"That there is a demon"

"A Deee- mon?"

"Yes a demon, you see this school sits on top of a very large portal to the demon world"

"Demon world?"

Momo asked.

"Yes the demon world, we have a barrier, charms and tailsmens set up but they only keep out the powerful demons, weaker ones like this are always slipping through, this one should be a mid to low D rank shouldn't be to hard for you to handle so.."

She patted Momo on the back.

"Go kill it"

It took Momo a second to process this order and when she did she snapped.

"What do you mean go kill it!!!"

What do you mean what do I mean? why do you think your here for kiddo"

"You said you wanted me to be a new student at your school"

"True we want you to be a student but of the special variety, this school teaches the best and brightest but it also in secret teaches young promising Shamans"

"Shamans?"

Momo could only repeat the words she heard because her brain was over loading with new unknown information.

"Yes.. Shamans there are more than just this portal here at the school, there are tons around the world and new ones being opened even now, and portals mean demons and demons lead to catastrophe, that's why we Shamans are here to fight off and extinguish these threats"

"But.. I'm not a Shaman, honest"

Tears actually filled her eyes terror, terror is what made her want to run like hell, Rochelle grabbed her gently by the face.

"You are correct your not, but your unique and of some use also you were in arms reach"

[What is this lady talking about]

"Like I said before at the detention center we had a record low this year of special students so until we can enroll more Shaman students you Maureen Lancaster will be our schools new Placeholder Shaman"

She tightened her grip on Momo's face then she dropped the playful voice.

"Now enough stalling  do your damn job, and go kill it"

Momo knew she was a wolf she was a wolf she shook hands with that wolf and that wolf lead her to it's den leading Momo to her new life.
