Counter-Attack
The goalkeeper's glove closed around the ball like a vice, the sound of the impact echoing through the stadium like a crack of thunder. The crowd's collective gasp was audible, a mixture of shock and awe at the sheer athleticism of the save.
As the goalkeeper sprang to his feet, cradling the ball in his arms, the English team's players sensed an opportunity. They had weathered the German storm, and now it was their turn to counter-attack.
Elian, the seventeen English striker, was the first to react. He burst into life, his legs pumping like pistons as he sprinted down the flank. His body seemed to be enhanced, his muscles rippling beneath his skin like a panther's as he devoured the ground.
