Chapter 053 Wul Volcano

Before reading I would like to suggest on playing a music titled Rise by Madkid.

I went to Wul Volcano to cook BBcorn since BBcorn cannot be cooked with simple means. It needs a high temperature to cook or else the corn might not pop and burned ruining its taste. As I walked towards the direction of Wul Volcano, trees and plants became lesser and the heat coming from the direction of Wul Volcano became stronger. It is also called as "Hot-spot" due to constant magma flow beneath the ground which causes the temperature to rise so high that the area is like a sauna.

Arriving at the Wul Volcano i can see a region full of volcano with terrible heat. I picked one BBcorn in the Inventory then used Room and Mes to remove a single kernel which is a size of ten inch tv. As I was preparing to cook the kernel, I remembered that I can use my Zanpakuto to cook this kernel. I went to a desolated place and draw my katana.

"Embodiment: Ryujin Jakka." (Satou)

As I said that, flame started to came out from the katana then about 100 meter circle of flame formed and I was the center of this circle. Thanks to heat nullification that is given by my Zanpakuto, the heat in Wul Volcano (1,300 degrees) became a cool breeze to me. Since the temperature of Ryujin Jakka is equivalent to the temperature of the Sun's surface (6,000 degrees) the kernel I'm holding became ash in just a second.

As I though that, I tried lowering the temperature to optimum level for BBcorn to be cooked but still got ruin. An hour had pass and yet not a single kernel got cooked, instead ashes scattered as failure upon failure. Another hour had pass and yet all the kernel of the BBcorn became ashes.

"Damn it!!! I just wasted a single BBcorn ear just trying to cook it with Ryujin Jakka and I can't even cook a single kernel." (Satou)

As I said that I keep on trying to control the temperature of the flames of Ryujin Jakka. I did a lot of progress yet still a failure since the kernels became burnt. Having enough of failure I tried extinguishing the flames around me and all flame suddenly dissipates leaving a circle of magma. I withdraw another BBcorn ear and removed a few kernel with Room and Mes. Then I went to the lowest part of the Wul Volcano where the temperature is about 1,300 degrees enough to cook the BBcorn kernel. I placed it on the ground and sat near it.

After waiting for a few hours, the kernel pops and popcorn started to rain.

(AN: Apparently a single kernel can produce a hundred person worth of popcorn)

The popcorn itself is quite large, more like cotton candy size than actual popcorn, with a fragrant odor of roasted croquettes. The consistency is smooth and easily travels down the throat. It is so delicious that most people swallow unconsciously upon putting it into their mouths. After eating a lot I didn't feel full but rather I'm getting hungry, this maybe because of incredible appetite-stimulating effect. After eating all the popcorn, I decided to stay here for a month an train here since this place is desolate I can practice my control on my Zanpakuto specially Ryujin Jakka. I checked my status and found out that my Gourmet cell awakening made a huge leap and I also gained a new skill which is Gourmet Demon. I closed my eyes to feel my Gourmet Demon and found out that my Gourmet Demon's silhouette. I saw its head having two horns (just like the cover) with a muscular build and 9 tails. One of it's tail is colored red with swirlings around it while the other 8 are still silhouette. Judging from it's looks I can say that because of the things I ate the Gourmet cells developed a unique Gourmet Demon that is suitable for me. Since I saw the Gourmet Demon's silhouette I had a feeling that if I eat another Devil fruit, my Gourmet cells can withstand and evolve making me to be able to wield another power of Devil fruit. Mulling it for a few minutes I decided to eat another Devil fruit since my gut feeling is saying that it is possible. I withdraw the Zushi Zushi no Mi and took a bite.

After eating the Devil fruit my body felt like is being rip into pieces from the inside. The suffering continues as the system notification came out.

After a torturous day the pain finally subsided. Having endured such torture, I immediately fell asleep (currently sleeping on the hottest ground of Wul Volcano which is 1,300 degrees with Zanpakuto activited.)

After sleeping for a day I finally woke up. Remembering all that happened yesterday I immediately checked my status.
