Death and Life (2)

What was it like to die? Was it like dreaming? Finding random images and scenarios?

For Zhou Sheng, it was more like finding a haven. An oasis in the middle of the desert. It brought him relief knowing that he no longer had to suffer from pain and suffering. Still, he held on to the pain of losing her. He no longer wishes for anything. He only wants to find her and stay beside her. Even if she wants nothing of him as her lover, he would stay beside her as a friend or a subordinate.

For him, nothing was more important. Not even the throne of the Zhou Kingdom. He had regretted prioritizing the throne and the death of his father. Causing them to not meet each other. If he had given the chance to redo it all. He would give everything in his power to be by his side.

"Yu Ronglou... Yu Ronglou... Yu Ronglou..."

He spoke her name as if it was his life-saving mantra. Everything was dark and silent until he heard someone's voice.

"Master!!! MASTER!!! Wake up! Please, Master! WAKE UP!!!"

Zhou Sheng opened his dark black eyes. His body froze instantly. HOW? WHY? WHAT HAPPENED?! He thought. He could see the eccentric designs on the ceiling and on the bed. HE COULD SEE!

"Master! Finally, you woke up! It scared this servant! You had been in a coma for almost three days!" Mo Yu proclaimed.

Zhou Sheng's eyes turned into him and stared wide shock. "Mo Yu?!"

"Yes, Master! It is I, Mo Yu. Master, everyone was worried about you!" Mo Yu's eyes were red, as well as his nose.

Zhou Sheng took a deep breath, sat up and studied his body. What the hell is happening?! And then he looked at Mo Yu. Mo Yu was still alive! Didn't he die trying to save him after his brother had sent someone to kill him, just days after he had become blind?! Did he? Did he return back in time?!

Suddenly, he felt a strong headache. He instantly held his head and groaned in pain. Seeing his Master's reactions, Mo Yu was frightened! "Master! Take it easy! Lie down and I'll call a doctor!" He helped his Master lay back down and rushed out of the bedroom.

Zhou Sheng felt like his head was split open. New memories flooded in his mind. When he was done assimilating them, his eyes opened again.

"Yu Ronglou!!! She... She... She knows me! and... and... She remembers our meeting on that mountain! If I reincarnated, she also did. HAHAHAHAH!!!!" Zhou Sheng then started laughing his heart out. What a miracle this is?! He then pulled himself up, disregarding any pain that his body felt. This small pain was nothing compared to all the years he had suffered.

As soon as he got up and left the bedroom, everyone outside who was listening instantly became alert. "MASTER!" They instantly kneeled on one knee and their fist was on their hearts. This was the same group that Yu Ronglou had seen beside the river that day.

"Everyone..." Zhou Sheng looked at everyone's eyes. His subordinates. These people had sacrificed their lives, unhesitantly, to keep his life alive. No matter if he was blind or not. He felt a heart-tugging moment inside his chest.

Mo Yu came back and saw his master standing while everyone kneeled on one knee. "MASTER!!! You shouldn't be standing. Quick, quick! You idiots! Send the Master back to his bed!"

The reason why everyone was very obedient and out of their minds was because they all heard their master laughed! Their master had never laughed nor smile in their entire servitude!

Zhou Sheng chuckled and waved at everyone. "What year is it?" He asked.

Mo Yu's eyes were shocked! He saw his master smirk and heard him chuckled. WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON?! Everyone was confused as well.

Mo Feng answered instead. "It's the 21st year of Ling's Ruling." Zhou Ling was their current emperor, Zhou Sheng's father.

Putting the pieces together, Zhou Sheng easily concluded what happened. He had an ambushed right before meeting the Protector. It seems like only a few days happened between then. Their meeting was supposedly a week after this, but he received news of his father's worsening condition and so he went back to the Zhou Kingdom. After arriving, he fell into his brother's schemes and got poisoned. Resulting in his blindness and impotence. Trying to recall his memories, It looks like Yu Ronglou was running away from her faith with Xu Fengxin. Since she recalls her last life, the possibility is, she no longer wants to be with Xu Fengxin.

"Everyone, I will send each one of you a task! Time is of the essence! I want you to find the little girl that we saw on the river! Find her and report back to me! Her name is Yu Ronglou!"

Zhou Sheng's eyes shine with anticipation, his fist clenched. Sweat was forming on his forehead as he endured the bruises and pain on his body. Everyone looked at each other in puzzlement, weren't they supposedly find a way to overthrow Prince Ping? "Yes, Master!" Still, they obeyed their Master's orders.
