Chapter 7: RPG Stuff(2)

"Yes we will but we won't be able to right now unless we kill that thing." As she pointed her shortsword at the giant. Who was standing completely still, waiting for something to come out. But I think we all know who it's waiting for. "Okay gather up, here's the plan. We're going to do this by the books like where in an RPG game. I'm going to be the tank so I'll be getting the giant's aggro most of the time. Dean and Allison will be our main dps. As I have aggro, you guys will have to do most of the damage since I'm the tank and can take the brunt of it. If it's aggro onto one of you, I'll just get it back." 

"Fine by me. Should be easy." I replied. 

"I can do that." Allison said. 

"Prado and Dani, you two would be our back line." Daniela said while pointing at both at them. "Dani with your range attacks with your bow and Prado with her heals and attack spells should be fine. If the giant gets aggro onto either both of you, kite it until I can get its aggro back on me. Simple rpg game logic 101." 

Prado raised her hand. "Yes, Prado?"

"What does kiting mean?" She asked.

"It means constantly moving away from an enemy or group of enemies while simultaneously attacking them." 

"That motherfucker is a big son of a bitch, how are we supposed to kite that?" Dani asked.

"It seems slow so it's easy to dodge. Just hit and run, the main strategy to kite enemies." 

"If you say so." 

"On go, me, Alice, and Dean rush in while you two stay in the back like we planned. Everyone ready?"

"Yeah." We all replied. 

"3… 2… 1… GO!"

When we got out of range, it immediately locked on to us. Prato sent 5 fireballs its way, aiming for its head. It knocked it back for a little. The titan was going to swing but Dani in rapid succession spam arrows to stop its arm from swinging at us and its arm recoiled back. 

Daniela quickly moved ahead of us, making sure she grabs aggro of the titan. Trees were thrown our way and me and Alice jumped in front of Daniela to destroy them by slashing in them in half. Green energy particles started gathering in its core. Once fully lit up, it shot the beam toward us three. 

'Get behind me!' Daniela yelled in comms. Me and Alice ran behind her. Daniela put her shield down and an ethereal shield formed right infront of her physical one. 

'I can shield you three when your shield breaks Daniela.' Prato said in comms. 

We were slightly pushed back. I can see Daniela's mana slightly going down from 100% to half already. The titan stop its beam, it ran out of energy to maintain it for so long. As soon as it stopped, Daniela's shield shattered into particles and then it all disappeared. 

'This the time to rush, Alice.' I said in comms. Me and Alice quickly rushed out from behind Daniela. Dani sent arrows to its chest but to no avail the arrows couldn't pierce its stoney chest. Roots and vines growing from the ground began to block our path to the titan. Alice lunged and pierced forward and wall of roots and vines popped and disappeared like it was never there. I rushed forward. 

'Dean, roll to the side its tryna hammer you.' Dani and Prato said in comms. I immediately roll to the side, evading the attack. Dust covered the area and my vision. I jumped up its arm and began to run across it. 

'Thanks for the heads up, bros.' I said in comms while still running up its arm. It moved its arm back up. It turned to look at me. From the corner of my vision, it slowly moved its other hand up to his head and brought it down to the arm I'm on right now. Like a ceiling slowly collapsing on me. 

It tried to grab me when it brought its hand down but I jumped and spun sideways over it. While in mid air I slashed its back of its hand in half. His stoney fingers fell down to the floor but roots in the hand I cut began to grow and reattach itself. With his arm still down, it swept the trees in the clearing, sending them flying in the air. Like raindrops in a rainy day some of the girls had to dodge the oncoming trees. 

Turning back around, I started hall ass sprinting to further the distance from its other arm that was still behind me. I looked up and it looked right back at me charging his beam attack again. 

'Dean, you have to jump off its arm and let me get aggro. This isn't part of the plan.' Daniela said in comms. 

'Nah, I got this. I have an idea.' 

'Dean, please.'

'Just trust me.'

'Alright… just don't get yourself killed.' 

It took awhile to charge its beam attack and when it did, it pointed right at me. The beam was heading straight towards me and I jumped at the last second. I jumped far enough to its other arm. It tried to aim the beam after I jumped but it was too slow to move its head and it stopped after a couple seconds. 

I landed on the bicep of its arm. I rolled and stabbed my sword in its arm to not fall off. Hanging from my sword, I pulled myself up to get on my feet on its arms. Once I got up I looked across and saw its right arm detached from its shoulder. 

I saw arrows and fireballs landing in its face. It caused the titan's head to recoil from the attack. I continuously ran up to its head. I was about to cut its neck but I lost footing as I fell on my back. Its body began to melt and crumble back to the ground. 

With nothing to protect its core, it was wide open. Not wasting time, Alice jumped towards it, and got right in front of it. She pierced it a dozen times with her rapier. Quickly turning, I shot a fire ball from above but it teleported away before the fireball hit it. I landed on my feet on the ground and rolled then after. 

It teleported 2 kilometers away from me. It began to use the surroundings to form its body over its core. 2 kilometers away from its position is probably the furthest it can teleport. Daniela and Alice approached me while Dani and Prato stayed couple of meters away. 

'Dean, you need to follow the plan.' Daniela said in comms. 

'Where were you and Alice?' 

'We were behind you, Dean.' Alice said in comms.

'Really? It didn't seem like it. I was on it the whole time, you two were nowhere to be seen.' 

'We were delayed. We had to cut down trees and vines to get closer. It threw projectiles at us, zoning us out of the fight. Only you were there to attack.' Daniela said in comms. 

'You have to be faster, Daniela.'

'We're trying, Dean.'

'Daniela I have to break it to you, your plan doesn't work. The plan only works if the boss wasn't a zoner and more of a bruiser.'

'But still.'

'Daniela, if you want your plan to work, you have to be up and personal with it instead of the boss being up and personal with you. It's never going to let you fight it on your own terms more of it's going to fight on its own terms. That's why it has been using range attacks.' 

'Then what do you suggest.' 

'Let me take aggro with Alice with me to attack while you protect both Dani and Prato. Me and Alice will try to open its core and have those two chip at its core from afar.' 

'Alright, lets do this. I'll tell the others.' 

'I'mma go now. I'll tell Alice to follow me. She's the second fastest out of everyone.' 

'Who's ultimately the fastest?' Dani asked.

'Me.' I said confidently. I was already in front of the Titan. 

I dodged all the oncoming projectiles. First I cut both his feet off. It fell on all fours. 

That's all it did. It just spams projectiles and teleports away. Me and Alice would confront the titan. Damaging it slightly, trying to peel off its skin for Prato and Dani to attack but it keeps regenerating its skin to protect its core. It would then teleport away. Start sending projectiles at us and a couple beams here and there. Me and Alice would dodge it. Daniela would block it all for Dani and Prato. 

It shot a root out from the right side of me and hit my sword, knocking it out of my hands. I turned to my left and started sprinting to get my sword back. After it knocked my sword away, it tried to slap me on the face but ducked underneath and around it. It spun back around but tries to go for my legs but I hopped up and continued to run after my sword. It swung two vines aiming for both my legs and my neck. I spun sideways, dodging the two vines by going in the space between them and landed on all fours.

Passive skill unlock: [Ambidexterity]

Description: Able to use both hands masterfully.

I dismissed notifications and grabbed my sword. I blocked two incoming vines and pushed it up. I started sprinting back to the giant. It began to retract its vines. I immediately dived for its vines and now held on for my life. 

It used the other vine to try to cut the one I was holding on to but an arrow pierced the vine preventing it from cutting itself.

'Your welcome by the way.' Dani said. 

'Yeah, yeah, I could've done something about that.' I said.

'Sure you would.' 

'PEOPLE! Finish killing the boss then bitch later.' Santos said. 

'Yes mom.' Dani said. 

'Shut the fuck up.'
