"Let's talk in private"

We went to one building in shrine which was currently used as my living space and shuted the door.

"So as we said before you runned away from FBI building in LA and than you ended here somehow? Care to explain yourself?".

"I runned away because they wanted to take me apart and use me to build my copies for mylitary in USA . I couldn't let that happen, if there was a war than instead of soldiers there would be machines against humans. Do you imagine how it would end? It would be one sided massacre. Also it would mean that I would cease to exist. I'm not completely machine."

"What? You mean that you were a human before?".

"Yes. I was kidnaped and modified into what you see now. Sure it's hard sometimes to live knowing that anyone who would know and have some power will try to get me for themselves."

"I see that completely changes the situation."

"Please let me stay and live here. I have nowhere to go."

"Fine, but we will look over you and sometimes we come visit to see how are you doing."

"That's fine with me".

"Oh one thing. You will probably need to go to school."

"What? Are you insane? Don't you know what I am? How will you explain to them the way I look?".

"We will work something out."

After that they left the shrine and I was just standing in my room completely speechless.

Great I never ever wanted to go back to school again as I was really miserable back then.

This is insane. They will totaly dump the explanation on me. "Miko!?".

"Coming!".

I was here probably too long.

"Yes mister, how can I help you?".

"Could you come with me to the market? I need help to cary those heavy bags".

"Of course."

"Let's go.".

We went down the street and soon reached the market. There was a lot of food, some kinds I never saw before and some I knew from TV.

We started schoping for different ingredience to cook from and than started walking back.

"Hey Natsumo, how are you doing today?"

"Oh Nishimura, I'm doing great thank you. What about you?".

"Well you know how it is, always working and so little time to relax. By the way who is this young girl?".

"This is my new Miko. She didn't had anywhere to go so I took her in and she takes care of the shrine.".

"Oh looks like you hit the jackpot. beauty like this will atrackt a lot of customers".

"Well it's true that she have cat ears instead of human ears and even a tail. I might as well turn her into the Cat goddes."

"That's good idea. Just need to find some nice clothes and you have beautifull goddes of cats.".

"I'll see if it works.".

We went back to the shrine and I started cooking to make everything ready for lunch.

Soon lunch was ready and I prepared the table.

"Mister! Food is ready!".

"This smells delicious. I can't wait to eat it".

"Let's sit down".

"Gochisōsamadeshita".

We started eating. It was really delicious, I don't even know when I ate such a good food.

"Kitty? What would you say being the goddes of this shrine?".

"What? Goddes of this shrine? But I will have to go to school soon and yes I can do some things ppl normaly can't. I need to think about it."

"Don't worry too much, bit it would help this shrine. Only thing we have are cat statues what can be bought anywhere in Japan. So if we had someone who have cat like features like you than we could have offerings and such. How long will you live?"

"Let's see. *Calculating* I will live 2000 years".

"Than you can become goddes of this shrine. With that lifespan no one could deny anything."

"Alright I'll do it. Let's eat before it gets cold".
