Chapter 24

I avoided Jackson after last night; he left for work before I woke up. He knew I was upset at him; we got into a mild argument last night once Paisley laid down but it quickly turned to silence. We slept back to back, I woke up to Paisley crying in her room. I took her out of her crib and set her down in her high chair for breakfast. She kept getting distracted by the ring on my hand and playing with it. I knew Jackson was protecting me but there were times when he needed to back off.
