Reincarnation..?

Year 3018, 538 days from destruction of the world.

Within a dark space sat a young man. The young man looked around but perceived nothing.

"Where am I...?"

A splitting headache pierced his head, making the man groan in pain.

"Am I dead? Is this the famous clique where I die to be reincarnated as a youth who strives for immortality?", in a drowsy state the young man was excited as he waited for the divine being to descend and send him to an another world.

After several breaths of time, nothing happened, and the man still sat there, so he stretched his hand out to try and know more about the space he was encased in.

"Hmm.. the feeling of this wall feels rough and metallic. And the smell in this place is horrible! Where exactly am I?", the young man pondered to himself.

However right then, he felt like he was being lifted up and started to tilt to one side. Light then dazzled him, causing him to tightly shut his eyes.

"Ouch!!", regaining his sight, he opened his eyes and found himself on a garbage truck, driving through a narrow alleyway.

The truth dawned upon him, he was in a dumpster the entire time.

"I just remembered everything!"

He was named Jin Mu.

Last night he chased after his ex-girlfriend, only to find her with a strong new boyfriend. He got beaten up with most of the damage to his head. Afterwards he drunk to his heart's content, only to find himself at 'home'.

"She was cheating on me the entire time!" With gritted teeth he smashed at the pile of garbage, then his hand started bleeding profusely. It so happened to be a smashed up bottle of glass that he slept with last night.

He felt miserable. Wishing to denounce his existence.

"If.. If only I had the power to change all this!"

With heart full of bitter emotion, the man exclaimed towards the sky.

Then a sound was heard near him.

"Do you wish... for power?"
