Author's POV
When Ariana became eighteen, she started manifesting strange things. When she was seven years old, her adopted father, Gabriel, taught her how to shoot an arrow, and ever since then, she never missed her target. Ariana practiced combat with boys her age and older.
Josephine finally got to know that Ariana was a Queen of light. Nature and the universe chose her. Ariana was the chosen one! You might be curious as to what a queen of light is.
The rarity of a Queen of light is, even more, greater than that of Josephine's power. Although the Queen of light is also a witch, but, their powers would only manifest at age eighteen. They were considerably stronger than hybrids. In truth, they are capable of killing a hybrid, but only after training their power. This means Ariana can murder Simon.
Josephine has always desired revenge for her mother's death, and now she has the chance. Josephine would never forget what Simon did to her and she would make him pay for it with his life. A life for a life.
Josephine told Ariana that she is a Queen of light and she can murder Simon and Pasiphae. Even though her grandfather was an evil man, she didn't want to hurt him in any form or way. So, she told Josephine that she would neither kill Simon nor Pasiphae.
Josephine had no other choice than to tell Ariana that she was adopted and Simon was not in any form related to her. Ariana was bewildered! It seemed as though what Josephine said plunged her into total darkness but she has to accept the fact that she would be the one to end the life of her step-granddad.
Ariana had to ask her adoptive parents, Gabriel and Alison to confirm whether she was adopted or not.
Alison told Ariana that she had adopted her when they needed a child desperately and kept it a secret from Ariana because she didn't want her to stop loving her and considering her as her biological mother.
Gabriel and Alison were really pissed because it was Josephine who told Ariana that she was adopted to get Ariana to kill Simon but Josephine couldn't care less because she was focused on getting back at Simon {revenge}.
The news reached Simon that the prophecy Josephine foretold had come to pass and in fact, it was Josephine who was instructing "The Queen of light" on how to utilize her powers.
Simon came up with a plan to attack Josephine's home and kidnap "The Queen of light."
Simon carried out his plan and broke into Josephine's home. Josephine has already seen a vision that Simon would try to kidnap Ariana so she attempted to stop Simon herself but she was no match for the hybrid. Simon released a thick cloud of smoke, which smacked Josephine into the wall and killed her.
When Ariana discovered that Simon had killed her grandmother, she was furious and the brightest light shown out of her. It is a taboo for a queen of light to use her power whenever she is angry. Due to the fact, that Ariana used her power in a fit of rage, she fell to the ground and died from internal bleeding.
Simon was struck by the bright light that emanated from Ariana which made him disappear. Remember, that Pasiphae swore an oath to revive Simon if he eventually die. So, when Ariana's light emerged and struck him. The first thing he recalled was the oath sworn to him by his twin sister, Pasiphae.
Simon who was already frail utilized his last remaining reserves of strength to disappear and end up at the home of his twin sister.
Pasiphae feared the worst when she saw her brother's condition. However, Simon eventually passed away!
Pasiphae tried everything in her power to save his life, but she was unsuccessful. So, she separated his spirit from his body. She placed his body in a coffin and sealed it with a spell to preserve it. Then kept the coffin in a secret location. Then she locked his spirit in a tomb.
Then Pasiphae used all her powers to curse nature. The curse stated that she will have a future doppelganger who would look exactly like her and would be a highly powerful witch, not a hybrid. This person would awaken her twin brother, Simon.
Pasiphae died after cursing nature.
Gabriel and Alison came back home and found everywhere looking weird, dusty, filthy, and disorganized. The house appeared to have been abandoned. A foul smell caught their attention as they covered their nose with their hands. The smell was emanating from the second floor. Gabriel pondered as he ran up to see what it was. Unfortunately, it was his mother who layed on the floor in her own pool of blood. He was completely stunned as he stood there emotionless like ice. The world seemed to come to a halt as tears slipped from his eyes. Those tears flowed incessantly.
"Who did this?. Gabriel screamed as a stream of tears gushed out from his eyes.
"Simon did this," Josephine responded to Gabriel's query. Gabriel thought his ear was playing tricks on him. He shifted his gaze to the familiar voice.
Josephine has not yet died. Gabriel quickly rushed to her and hugged her not caring about the blood.
"Wipe your tears." Josphine smiled faintly. She looked incredibly frail and weak. Alison also sat very close to Josephine. Josephine's once-aesthetic face had turned pale. Alison held her hands as she coughed repeatedly, then at last she began to cough blood.
"I don't have much time on Earth, so Alison hear me. I used the last strength in me to teleport myself into the future to find out if Simon is truly dead. His twin sister Pasiphae has a plan to resurrect him so she locked him up in a casket and kept him in a place in which no one can ever find, but she created a map. I need you to get a hold of the map because people are coming from the future and they will need you to show them the whereabouts of the map." Josephine chanted.
"Where is the map?." Alison asked.
"At Pasiphae's house." As she said this Josephine breathes her last."
{Juliana's POV}
The remaining pages of the book were torn. My dad searched his memory to recall where he first heard the term "queen of light" and "Pasiphae doppelganger." But his memory was blank.
He decided to keep the book in his backpack, having a feeling that it would come in handy soon. He then continued his search for the photo of Anna. When he found the picture, he locked the room and returned the key to Morgana. But as he turned to leave, Morgana called him for a private discussion.
