After a few hours of walking, he returned to Katrina's clan.
He also was beaten a bit to get a huge amount of energy for his future use of higher tier spells.
While making his way to Katrina's dorm, he quickly employed the [Misinterpretation] spell.
He then knocked a few times on the door until he heard footsteps approaching the door.
The door opened, revealing a stunning Katrina...
She was wearing a black collared robe over white cotton clothing. She wore a pale green tight dress, exceptionally charming black-laced pants, and a pair of bright-red boots that reflected light when shone upon. Her long purple hair was untied and sprawled across her shoulders. Her glossy face exuded a maturity rarely seen in women her age, and her skin was white and flawless, making her even more beautiful than before.
As she looked around, her enticing eyes seemed to blend into the background. She walked out of her room.
When Katrina saw Adel, she smiled brightly and waved, which made him stay in his place in a trance for a second.
Adel inhaled deeply as his heart started to pound. He wasn't as happy and elated as the previous few times he saw Katrina.
The most appealing part about this woman in front of him was not her physical appearance, but the aura she radiated from the minute she opened the door.
It made Adel remember that it was the same aura he recalled witnessing in Gabrielle in his former life.
Sigh. What is this situation? And why is she becoming more and more like Gabrielle? - Adel chuckled in his heart, which hadn't thumped with genuine love and compassion in a long time...
He then began recalling some of his past interactions with Gabrielle on Earth...
-
Today was a Sunday, which he regularly spent practicing martial arts in a dojo.
He was in a street corridor, on his way to it, while also remembering the date he had with Gabrielle, which made him rather excited and anticipating the day he would be going on a romantic date with the lady he liked in his class...
His mood, however, suddenly changed as he noticed a new message on his phone...
-
[Adel... I apologize. I wanted to go with you on a date in the forest, but my parents wouldn't let me because they were afraid of the dangers that lurked there... Why don't we just go out to eat? I'm really sorry... But it's not like I wanted any of this. [*sad-emoji* *anxious-emoji*]
-
Adel had been exhaling sighs repeatedly for several minutes. Going out for dinner was considered a date, but it paled in comparison to going into the forest, a location full of mystery that would pique both of their interests and maybe prompt them to take the final step in their relationship...
But then again, he was still a sixteen year old youth with a curiosity about the other sex, not an eighty year old man who would be uninterested in such trivial matters.
Of course, this is true while he is mortal, not for the future him...
-
After about an hour, he turned around and saw that he was still standing in the same position. He was constantly practicing martial arts at the time, so his legs were strong enough to withstand the strain of standing still for such an amount of time.
He let out a last sigh, bitterly thinking, 'Beggars can't be choosers, I guess.'
He began writing a message for her without looking unhappy about it:
-
[Good day, Gabrielle. Don't worry, it's fine. We still have the choice of going out to eat. Send me your WheresApp location, and I'll meet you there when the date arrives. *wink-emotion*]
-
Gabrielle, who had received the message, was worried that Adel would just say no, and the two of them would only become acquaintances.
That was not what she wanted. That previous encounter, when he touched her, made her understand she was fated to become his.
It was only a strange thought that came and went as quickly as it came, like a gust of wind.
She did, however, understand how much in love she was with him before that incident, and it wasn't until he touched her that she realized how much she loved him.
Then again, she knew that if Adel had actually done 'it' with her back then, she wouldn't have rejected her...
-
Adel, on the other hand, quietly sighed and shook his head before continuing on his way to the dojo...
-
Time passed, and before they knew it, it was already the day of the date.
The previous girl was the reason the two didn't go on a date in the forest. She spread stories about it at school, which quickly reached Gabrielle's parents' ears, leaving her helpless against them.
They initially refused to let her go out with him in the forest, but after many hours, if not days, of coaxing, they eventually agreed to allow her go out with him...
Of course, she didn't tell Adel this and instead lied to him, which made her feel horrible in her heart, but she knew it was important so they wouldn't stop talking to each other once he learns her parents didn't approve of him... currently.
As for the girl, she didn't hate Gabrielle, but she did object to her going on a date with Adel since she wanted to be his first... date.
As they went on their date today, the two—Adel and Gabrielle—were fully unaware of the variable who stopped them from going in a date to the forest...
The girl knew about the date when Adel informed her, so she sneaked behind them to be with them. She wouldn't show up regardless of what happened between them because it would reveal her identity as the "secret crush" who ruined everything that could've happened between them.
