Paragon Of Death

This is the story of a youth who attained peak strength in all three cultivation pathways: soul, energy, and body, due to a one-of-a-kind event that gave him the talent to cultivate them when he was twenty years old.   All of this occurred in a universe ruled by God. But after that unique event, he traveled to another universe with his own harem.   But does everything proceed as planned?   This is the tale of a transmigrated youth who wanted power. Not for godhood nor immortality.   He'd do all in his power to become Death itself!   === Notice: This is the first novel of mine, the second one is [Rise Of The Nefarious Devil]. The maim point for these is that this novel would be around seeking questions about what death is, while the other novel about what good and evil is.

40- Alchemy Exchange [II]

-

The elders soon returned to concocting their pills, as they needed to do so before inspecting Adel's pills. Would they, after all, put their concoctions on hold just to look at his pills?

'Everything appeared to be changing right now' the young woman thought, 'What's going on?' For the first time in her life, she felt worry in her heart, believing that the middle-aged guy in front of her was her life-long companion according to the divination she saw earlier...

-

After they completed concocting the pills, they all sprang to their feet and rushed towards Adel, like eager children who had discovered a new favorite candy.

They bombarded him with questions about how he was able to construct an S grade 1-star pill while still being a high stage second step cultivator, to which Adel responded with his prearranged replies.

Many of them truly wanted to torture him in order to obtain more detailed answers to their queries. They understood, however, that with such a display, he had such a powerful background that they wouldn't dare offend him!

Their backs were soaked in cold sweat as they recalled how they had mistreated him previously. They just realized now that Adel could have come here for another reason.

Then again, with his performance now, how could he still be a rookie in need of the Alchemy Alliance's support?

They took a serious posture after that, with somber expressions on their faces.

They continued this way until the elder who had brought him here began to speak:

"Alright, esteemed alchemist Alder. We acknowledge that you must have a motive for being here. Say your piece, and we, the alchemy alliance, will endorse it to the best of our ability. "

Adel then took a serious demeanor as he continued to recite the prepared bullshit he'd prepared before coming here:

"Sure. I'll begin by introducing myself. My name is Alder Creighton, and I am a member of the Creighton family. My clan, like other supreme-tier clans, has several branches. The difference is that we are hidden from the rest of the world. We have a branch for every profession, so there are others my age or talent in other professions like myself. I don't think I have a reason to explain to you why we're showing ourselves to the outside world. For now. "

Adel emphasized to the world 'For now', giving them hope that he might tell them why his clan would suddenly show up.

These words erupted in their ears like bombs. Hidden clan? Why would they turn up now, after years of silence?

Of course, everyone knew who the hidden clans were, especially those of high status.

Hidden clans were clans that were higher than the supreme-tier and were said to have the support of fourth-step cultivators. But, would the king really allow such strong and prominent individuals stay his country?

Of course, he was helpless previously and didn't dare take action against them. He obviously left them be because of their powerful influence and strength.

Even if there were merely rumours regarding fourth step cultivators, they wouldn't risk finding out whether or not they were genuine.

But... After that cultivator took the princess as her disciple, the hidden clans were more cautious than they had been in the past decade or so.

The reason for such fear of them was the name of hidden clans. They were truly hidden! Thus, even if one were to know their names, they wouldn't find a thing about them!

Hence, Adel took this approach to carrying out his plans since he knew that they wouldn't be able to find an actual hidden clan, much less a fictitious one like his.

But... After that cultivator took the princess as her disciple, the hidden clans were more cautious than they had been in the previous decade or so.

The clans were nicknamed "hidden" for a reason. They refused to get involved in any issue relating to the kingdom, even if it meant the kingdom's demise.

As such, Adel's presenting himself here and especially revealing his clan's name would cause their name to resonate across the kingdom in the next period of time.

Adel went on, knowing they were taking his remarks seriously:

"I've brought a few ancient pill formulas with me this time, and I'd want to exchange them for something of comparable worth, as well as a pill store in the capital city." Adel concluded his words after handing five of his memory's recipes that were deemed the most worthless to him, but more valuable to them in this circumstance.

He was well aware that such pill recipes would undoubtedly cause a stir because they originated from his mind-door. Something completely outside of this world, but he didn't care. That would only make them dread the imaginary clan even more.

Moreover, the others would certainly ponder, "What else could such a clan have after possessing such ancient pills?"

They were surprised as to why Adel requested a store, but they didn't dare ask why, presuming it was a clan mission that needed him to stay at such a store.

As Adel sat there for a dozen seconds, various thoughts raced through their minds.

After reading the pill recipes, the elders' eyes gleamed with excitement since they could tell that such pills would undoubtedly cause an uproar in the alchemy world the moment they were released!

The elders readily agreed to his conditions before sending him out with the utmost respect, putting an end to any prior plans to pursue him!

After all, only idiots would go after someone with the backing of a hidden clan.

-

The young woman got more and more puzzled as dread ran over her heart, causing her to nearly faint from shock.

The events she saw in the divination were definitely not these! They changed a lot!

'The Creighton clan? He didn't say anything about it in the divination! Could my intervention or presence in this alchemy exchange have changed the whole future...? ' The young woman's eyelids quivered as Adel caught her just as she was about to collapse...

He didn't help her up from the floor like a gentleman, but rather... she fell on him as he was leaving...
