27- Date in the... forest?

Adel shook his head lightly, as he looked at Katrina who was holding his hand with an intensified blush on her cheeks.
Adel was perplexed, not knowing whether to accept this young woman's advances, that was holding his hand, while he could hear her heart jumping loudly due to the stillness that was resounding throughout the forest.
'I'll think of a decision once all of this ends... After all... She might as well be my reincarnated first wife...' Thought Adel as he finally took a glance around him.
His jaw dropped as he saw the amount of effort Katrina would have spent to set up the current place. He was simply bewildered by the natural beauty and this feeling of tranquility coming from the area.
There were flowers hanging on top of the trees' branches, and then the lights were hanging everywhere, making the surrounding light.
The greenery too, was just also amazing to avoid.
It had many decorations here and there, that had many flowers and plants, like the Hibiscus Flower, the Poinsettia plant, etc.
He just couldn't imagine how much time and effort it would've taken her to decorate this place into something like this!

He took a deep breath as he felt the surrounding thick with energy.
It looked like she had prepared something more than he thought... As the three energies encircled the entire area.

Adel gulped, many lewd thoughts were going on his head. After all, you couldn't really blame him. There was a bed that looked quite fascinating, with a cover and sheet that had the same red color.
A bed would seem ordinary in a room, they would just sleep in it. But then what if the room was in the middle of a date in the interior of a forest, inside an array that hid all sounds?
What would they do on top of a bed? They'd presumably discuss the matters of cultivation, understanding the secrets of the soul cultivation pathway since both of them had the talent to cultivate the soul cultivation pathway.
He then remembered that she had the talent of cultivating the three cultivation pathways, so he could teach her about the soul topics, and then bring her with him to the next plane... right?
He shook his head bitterly. He still didn't know whether he should accept her advances or still hold on the hope, that... one day... just one day... he might visit back his harem.
But he knew this was a hopeless hope. His body had been thoroughly destroyed back in Earth, so even if he came to them, they wouldn't recognize him.
Besides, he wasn't sure about the time difference between the universe. While he was here in sixteen years, the time would have gone much faster there, or much slower here. And vice versa.

He sighed again and again, making Katrina have a worried face as she started wondering whether Adel didn't like what she has done?
Is it that she hadn't put much effort into this?
After all, she did cultivate a ton harder than before but she used the intervals that she took to relax from the cultivation toll to work hard on doing this setup for this date.
Her junior sisters told her that the bigger it is, the better the feeli- *cough -not that one.
*The more wonderful the arrangement is for the date, the better the date would be.
As for the bed... Her junior sisters told her that once they would kiss, they would start doing other night activities that would make the two of them feel good, and they also mentioned something about yin and yang. But she paid more attention to the former as her mind was imagining what she could do on the date...

Adel finally noticed her expression as he moved towards her, put is hand over her neck, then kept staring at her cyan eyes that resembled the ocean, for a while...

Time slowly passed as Adel kept starting at her like that. The clouds seemed to have darkened, hiding away the sun that was making the surrounding enlightened, albeit only a small bit due to the energy having the most part on glowing the area.
Adel stopped looking at her as he felt a few tiny drops of water land on his face.
He looked up, only to see it raining, making him surprised.
This explained one thing: The entire beasts' territories inside the tunnels were areas that were exposed to the outside world from the front side, making the sun and moon appear every day and night cycle.
So this meant... He could enter any step beast by just... flying over there?
He shook his head, as flying wasn't easy. When he reached the step that gave him enough power to start flying, he wouldn't need to come to these territories anymore.
The date continued like it was supposed to. Katrina took Adel to sit on the table and they started drinking, laughing and talking about matters that happened to them before Adel started cultivation, remembering Damon.
Adel recalled Damon again, and then thought he would still need to curse him lest he brings him unnecessary trouble, such as somehow encountering some fortunate situation and becoming a higher step cultivator than he was as, then giving him a challenge.
He didn't want to be like those protagonists from the novels that didn't dig out the problems from their roots. He would be an idiot to believe that fate was by his side.
He knew that albeit the current events were favorable for him and the steady progress that was going on would continue, he had to pay some price.
He did learn from before that everything in this world has mutual exchange after all...

He then got out of his reverie as he felt Katrina's soft and delicate hands land on his neck, pushing it closer to hers.
Adel felt conflicted. Should he allow the kiss, go with the flow and make her his here and now?
He was hesitating, as many thoughts were going through his mind.
Albeit he could get a new harem member if he were to be in Earth, that would always be with all of their consent.
After all, he didn't want battles happening on his harem, he wanted all of them to have at least a decent impression on each other.
The motion of Katrina bringing her head closer to Adel's was slowly happening in his eyes, as his thoughts were chaotic, but he just finally gave in as he felt her lips be get a millimeter away from his...
But just as the kiss was going to happen, a beast appeared on Adel's soul energy sense, that was actively sensing everything around.
He immediately moved away, separating himself from Katrina, as he frowned with an ugly expression on his face.
'Fourth Step Beast! How's this possible?' Adel's thoughts were turning chaotic, as he felt the beast's energy fluctuations being at the fourth step in the body cultivation system!
How is it possible? This whole area was supposed to only hold at best some cultivator on the verge of breaking through to the fourth step, yet here was one in front of him!
Other than of course, the princess's master. But that was a fifth step cultivator, not a fourth one.
Besides... He'd just been blu.e.ball.e.d...
Adel felt his body shiver as his thoughts were in even more turmoil...

Meanwhile, the figure on Adel's soul again opened its eyes, as it received a message, making its non-existent face frown:
'What? The calamities' danger level is rising?! How?'
The figure panicked, as it started thinking of a solution to the current problem...
