In the days following the temporary mending of the Yggdrasil crystal, Morphantasia was anything but peaceful. Despite the heroic efforts of Berenice, Maven, Iris, the Arcas siblings, and the gods, the veil connecting Morphantasia and Blakely's world remained damaged. The cracks in the two world trees, Yggdrasil in Morphantasia and its counterpart in the mortal realm, were more than just physical fractures—they were conduits for chaos.

The miasma, a corrupting force that Erisophis had unleashed, continued to seep through these cracks, spreading darkness and malevolence throughout Morphantasia. Monsters born of this miasma roamed the lands, wreaking havoc on towns and villages. Morphers, the players who inhabited this virtual realm, found themselves under constant threat.
