Chapter twenty

Pierre's pov ;

I was seated in my study as Elsa joined me. I was planning on how to take over the throne after the death of my father.

"I have to take over this kingdom, before the devil's son gets ahead of me, " I said staring at my ink pen.

Elsa who was still seated on the chair across the table stared at me.

"Are you sure he even wants anything to do with this kingship...i mean what I see is he's only focused on the battle, " She said trying to make a point.

I drifted my sight from the pen then eyed those ocean blue eyes. "Seriously that's what you think... What if he's pretending so that when he's gotten the opportunity he takes it, " I said.

"Are you that afraid of him? " She asked looking amused.

I felt annoyed, how dare she finds it funny that I might be afraid of our enemy. I placed my pen down, stood from my chair then walked behind hers. I then leaned close to her ear. "You're so lucky I'm not in the mood for torture otherwise you wouldn't like it " I threatened her.

She then swallowed hard and knew now I have her attention.

"Now give me some ideas love, " I state passing back and front.

"Um... How about you start by killing him first, " She suggested.

"No! I can't win if his men are still alive and he's too strong for me especially if he has faithful men on his side, " I explained.

"Then start with his men, his maids, his wife... "

"No! Never! " I cut her. "Hazel is not my killing target, I have better plans for her, " I state then I had a smile making me to stop in my tracks.

She frown then stared at me. "And may I know which plans that may be? " She asked.

"I think you can answer that for yourself love... But know she will be my next wife after Lucian's death, " I said.

She then stood from her seat and stood besides the window.

"Does it bother you that much? " I asked.

She didn't answer. I walked to her and pinned her to the wall and stared at her.

"I'm sovereign love,so you better respect my decisions," I told her then held her chin to make her stare at me. "Is it clear? " I demanded.

She stared back at me, I know she felt forced to do it but she didn't have much of a choice.

"It's clear_your highness, " She state, the word I needed to hear

"It's okay do what you want... As long as you be the successor of the king, " She state.

I smiled feeling proud that now she's on my side.

"Oh, and tonight I want you back in the room let's act like a normal couple love, " I said.

She then nodded. I let go of her chin, then walked to my desk.

"You may leave now, I need to prepare myself for the work I will have to do with my little brother, " I said.

I sat on my chair, still wondering how I'm gonna kill all my five brothers then finish off with Lucian. But I still knew the consequences, it was like going on a suicide mission but I needed a better plan.

Then one my men got in after my permission, telling me that Lucian is waiting outside our quarters and everything was ready... Let's go get money! I told myself.

Our journey went on for a while, with the silence, just the galloping of the horses could be heard.

"So you're gonna talk? " I asked him.

"Even if I was to talk to you what would we talk about? " He asked me still eyeing the road.

"How about, I'm happy to hang out with you big brother, " I said then smiled.

He just kept quiet. "How about keeping it as a brotherhood memory... I mean is a chance we have to talk and maybe sought out our differences_lil bro, " I said trying to be friendly.

"The only thing I'm going to get is bad memory and a very tiring day, " He answered.

We went on silent again and I just couldn't keep my mouth shut. Then suddenly a question popped in my head that I have been meaning to ask him. "So is she like your control ? " I asked.

This really got his attention he looked at me.

"What do you mean by that? " He asked.

"Aargh! Why do you keep returning my questions with other ones_i mean is Hazel your source of control now by keeping that monster inside? " I asked making it clear.

He then scoffed. "Why should discuss that with you, " He state.

"Fine is it your love for her? " I asked again.

"Pierre I don't see any reason why I should tell you my feelings about my wife... So leave me alone, " He state then raced off with his white horse, as his his men followed him.

"It's not over Lucian! "I exclaimed to make sure he hears me.

Then my faithful man, Luke came to me still on his horse. "So you know how to get him,"he state eyeing Lucian as he left us behind.

" Yeah, but I will try to get to him again it seems like his weakness is her, "I said.

Then I had a smirk tracing my lips. " Let's go,"I said then we all raced towards the village.
