Avril sat on a bentwood stool beside the window of her room, enjoying the gentle afternoon breeze splashing on her beautiful face. Her midnight long hair danced in rhythm with the air and she smiled each time the breeze splashed on her face.
She looked beneath the window and watched the little growing up pups playing with each other with mud. It was spring season and the ground was covered with wet mud.
Avril shifted her attention from the pups over to some teenage females like her, they seemed to be cracking jokes with each other, caused by the way they were laughing and having fun with each other as friends.
Avril knew them all and they were friends but not with her.
Having fun with friends? That was one thing Avril had never experienced. The only thing she has always found fun in was when she banged humans without her father's knowledge. She had no real friends. And just like Ariel, Avril does go to the city without her father or any member of the pack knowing.
But she stopped it the moment she fell for Carter.
Ariel who was the only one who knew Avril did go to the city due to the fact that the both of them had crossed paths with each other in the city in the past, the day Avril went over there to have fun with one of her human male friends and that was banging him.
She didn't reported Ariel to their father that day, knowing too well she also went to the city too, because their father didn't want the humans to know of their existence and he wouldn't punish Ariel only but her too even though she was his favorite.
Avril sighed and got up from the bentwood stool and to her bed she threw herself, preparing to take a little afternoon nap since she had nothing to do. She picked her phone up from the nightstand and checked out for calls or text messages from Carter.
She was really surprised to see Carter actually called her in the morning after last night's incident, he didn't call her until a few hours ago. Avril rolled her eyes and threw the phone to her bed, wondering why Carter called her.
They were mates and Carter has marked her as his mate already, but he wasn't behaving the way someone who marked a mate should. The others acted so lovely towards their mates but her case had a different scenario.
"F**k you Carter" Avril murmured indistinctly under her breath and settled her head on a pillow with her eyes closed, there was nothing for her to do so she wanted to take a little afternoon nap, it might help clear away the heavy burden on her mind.
And the moment she was about to give in to sleep, a knock on her door made her forced her eyes open and she groaned inwardly before getting up from the bed lazily to open the door.
"Hi" The least person on her mind to come visit her was standing right in front of her door and waved a 'hi' to her. Was he seriously kidding her with a 'hi'?He was supposed to make it up to her and a simple 'hi' wasn't going to make her happy.
Avril was so mad at him and without wasting time, she rolled her eyes and tried closing the door but the person put a leg before the door could finally get shut, and prevented it from closing.
"Avril please wait and listen to me" Carter chased after Avril as she left the door for him to go back to her bed, Why did he come over?. He didn't called or texted her on the phone to know how she was doing last night after their mating ceremony crashed.
And now he came over to her pack house today, Carter probably just came to use the excuse of coming to check up on her to know how she was doing and probably ask about Ariel.
Carter held Avril back by the arm before she could reach her bed and she turned with anger to face him, "Wait and listen to you?" Avril scoffed, "What the hell do you have to say to me when our mating ceremony crashed last night and you didn't bother to give me a damn call because your mind was too wrapped up with f**king Ariel".
Carter let go off Avril's arm and watched her lay out all her frustration on him. Avril must have seen him when he cuddled Ariel in his arms last night when she got knocked down by Alpha Mills.
"I forgot to give you a call last night and-"
"You forgot to give me a call?" Avril rolled her eyes and bit her lower lip in resentment to what Carter just said to her. Carter was seriously kidding her, how could he forget to call her last night.
She was his f**king mate for crying out loud!.
"Seriously Carter?, What do you think of me?, A fool?, Do you know how humiliated I felt when I saw you crying and cuddling Ariel on your arms when father knocked her down?!" Avril yelled in anger with her lips threatening to turn down.
She has kept quiet too much and acted like a good girl just for Carter to love her but he didn't showered any love on her even though she stopped being arrogant and rude and mellowed down just to gain his attention and love but he still never paid attention to her.
It was only to Ariel.
"I am your f**king mate Carter and not my sister. I am!" Avril pointed to herself and made sure Carter was looking her straight in the eyes and saw her only as she let her anger loose.
"What the hell do you think people would say when they saw the way you cuddled Ariel when father knocked her down?, People are talking and suspecting you still got feelings for her even though you rejected her!" Avril threw her hands at Carter's chest and beat it repeatedly. She was laying out all her frustration on him.
"I know you still love my sister but you didn't have to make it so obvious on the night of our mating ceremony" Avril spoke with every bitterness in her to Carter and he swallowed hard and let her continue beating his chest.
Avril knew Ariel was the one he loved and not her so Carter made it easier for her without her wasting more saliva by saying to her.
"You are right, I love Ariel but you are my f**king mate. Avril!" Avril stopped beating Carter's chest the moment she heard him say that. The couple fight they were having just got more real.
"What did you say?" Avril asked, just to make sure she heard him accurately.
"I said I love Ariel, is that what you wanted to hear from me?" I said I love your sister, Ariel" Carter spilled everything out angrily, he was fed up already, and acting like he loved her bored him a lot. So spitting out everything was much better than holding it in and pretending.
Avril stood still, her hands quivering tremendously while her lips trembled shakily. She knew Carter loved Ariel and wanted to hear the words directly from his mouth but now he actually said the words to her, he just gave Avril the biggest shock of her life.
Carter didn't even looked away when he said those words to her, he said it right to her face boldy, without cutting the gaze off or stuttering.
"The only way we could get rid of this sick act we have going on, is to reject each other and end everything. No mating ceremony, no nothing at all".
Do you think Avril would agree to reject Carter?, keep the comments rolling in and drop A Review!.
