Gradually, Carl's eyelids started to open. Once he opened his eyes, he saw the noontime sunlight beaming on his body, waking him up.
'Why does my neck seem of?' Carl tried massaging the back of his neck, touching the spider tattoo unknowingly, and then cracked it a little.
'Did I not sleep at the right position? Well, I did sleep on some tree I guess.'
Carl simply sighed as he stretched his body on his position to get his blood running faster. He rubbed his eyes and yawned.
With some rest, he did felt better.
For some reason, the pain on his head had also disappeared. Before, it was like a cacophony of screams filled with dark clouds, but now it felt airy and clear as if birds were peacefully flying across the blue sky.
