An annoying, rotten, hateful sound that traveled down my nerves and irked me to my very bones filled my ears. I immediately shot to my back and saw the gigantic slime, the Apocalypse Manager standing in the distance right amidst the burning grounds of the Orc Settlement.

With its gaze straight near us, the Apocalypse Manager's expression told a story starkly different from its words.

The chirpy, welcoming words were accompanied by an expression of annoyance that was just barely held down.

It seemed that he needed superhuman strength just to maintain its anger enough to be able to speak.

That filled me with immense joy.

The first thing I did was to push the people around me by their backs and make them stand in front of the canon. They were confused, but I managed to hide it just enough to not let the slime's attention go toward it.
