Middle realm

The spear was easier to find than I thought and it seemed that it was not infact hidden anywhere near the house and I had to walk some distance away from the house following the fire energy the weapon radiated.

When I reached I used the Shadows shaping them with a spell to start digging the ground as tentacles until they reached the case the spear was kept in. Pulling out the case I realised I could sense the energy within it similar to the one in the atmosphere ebut this one was purely fire attributed and had a purpose for being there so it meant the case was also not ordinary.

Removing the spear that was wrapped in preservative bindings with runes I kept the case in my Shadow Storage which I had now completely mastered how to use , apparently the father of this body was a powerful warrior as he left this village leaving him in the hands of the elders who promised to take care of him.

As for his mother no one had ever known who she was but there were rumors of her being from the Fox devil clan which was one of the strongest clans among the devil kin , while I walked back to the hall the people of the village kept on avoiding the area around me even more now that I held a weapon and I expected a peaceful walk until I heard a voice I was not expecting to hear at all ight now.

"You trash how.dare you come back to this village after your banishment. Did you come to finally surrender your father's weapon that you were hiding into more capable hands." Ignoring the voice I continued walking only stopping when he attacked and turning to grab his fist which broke when I exerted force.

This time many people were there to watch the blonde haired teenage devil kin scream out and cry on his knees before me. This was the person who had constantly bullied this body and beaten him ridiculing him on a daily plus he was the second genius of the village along with the village heads daughter.

The whole village had been preparing suitable sums of money to send both the only two guinesses to the Seven Sin academy of the Devil kin kingdom where young geniuses of the Devil kin race were taught and nurtured.

Continuing on my way to the hall I contemplated joining the Seven sin academy as it was a well known rumor that it's students were well known on this realm as candidates for something called ascension even among other races so meaning it was a sure way to obtain information and power in this cultivation thing.

The gaurds of the hall were complacent and opened the door immediately they saw me and all the elders Inside had different expressions on there faces compared to the first time I entered and I could even see the village heads daughter seated next to him her face completely red at the sight of me.

When they saw me holding the spear the elders all frowned with some becoming visible angry at how they had searched for that weapon in vain and I just couldn't hold myself back from taunting them , "Hey I asked around and apparently that terrible looking shack is where I used to stay but I guess it's not about the house but what's in it. The note said it belonged to my father so I guess now it's mine."

Gritting their teeth most of the elders mumbled looking at the spear greedily but knowing they couldn't do anything about it they swallowed their anger for having failed to claim the weapon after banishing me.

The village elder stood up saying "Anyway Adron due to your awakening you have lost all memories of this place and I assume about yourself too and you want to know about all that so I am personally offering information from the most knowledgeable person currently present in this village. My daughter a future student of the Seven sin Academy."

Smiling I responded with a slight now saying " Thank you elder I am grateful for your help and would like to repay back this one day."

Though he tried to hide his smirk I could clearly see it unlike him who couldn't see mine and the gathering ended like that before I was led by a gaurd to a very good looking house with a courtyard right outside of the village.

When I arrived I saw the village heads daughter waiting for me but her outfit seemed more skimpy now and even the gaurd who had led me there was distracted and the original owner of this body would have been too but after the time I had lived I had met Goddesses so this was pretty pathetic to me though still well above average.

When the gaurd left we sat down while a maid brought some tea for us and I waited for her to start explaining the gaps in my info that this wimp of a body didn't know.

It took a while but finally she did start talking so I started memorizing the useful stuff and ignoring the stupid stuff , this world was the world of Murim and it was made out of multiple realms each more powerful than the other and I was currently on the middle realm with four realms below me and ten above me.

The ascension was a time when one gained enough power to move on to a higher realm and most people immediately ascended on getting the chance as it was hard to increase their power after a certain stage unless one moved to a higher realm.
