Overlord: The Fragment of Paradox

When Ainz Ooal Gown found that item, he was quite interested. Then again, he didn’t expect much considering the Wise King of the Forest is literally a giant hamster. Then, the orb spoke his name, his HUMAN name and Momonga has never been more afraid. (Updates Every Even Days, I've timed it until... 30th November. After that, just the author's note)

"Kufu, so it's some sort of denial torture is it?"

Nazarick - Frozen Prison

I looked at the disgusting monstrosity in front of me. It is a pathetic lump of flesh with three appendages and a soft leathery wing-like membrane sticking out of it. It has something resembling half a head and an array of sharp-looking teeth.

I groaned a little before casting maximized cleaning spell to clean the filth off the table. Then I looked at Demiurge who's calmly browsing through an array of naked man and woman nailed to the wall. They've all been silence by my spell, but the look of terror and anguish in their face tells me that they haven't stopped screaming.

"Is it the method or the subject?" Demiurge thought out loud. "To think that reproduction can be this complicated," he dragged a random woman, ripping her nailed hands off.

The woman struggles desperately under the demon's grasp but I couldn't care less. I picked a random man and pulled him out of the wall. He struggled more fiercely so I gave him some killing intent to shut him off.

"Well, if you think about it, to think that a human can create another human being is already a feat on its own don't you think?" I turned the man into an oversized bat monster. Then I pushed the bat towards the naked woman and was about to forcefully trigger his mating instinct when a thought crossed my mind. "Hold on, Demiurge,"

The demon paused his knife cleaning to look at me. "Yes?"

"Maybe… As cheesy as it sounds… They have to love each other?" I asked him.

Demiurge frowned and straightened his glasses. "That is one method we haven't try yet, yes," he looked at the arrays of subjects. "I didn't think about taking an entire family from the kingdom. Should we gather up more subjects?Or perhaps you have a spell we can use?"

I looked down in deep thought. "If we…" I snapped my fingers. "If we force them to use Boosted Charm Species on each other, multiple times, we might do it," I looked at the bat and the terrified woman in front of me. "[Boost Magic - Dominate Species]," I said.

"Oh wait, they're not magic casters," I muttered. "I'll go get some sealed [Charm] spells, I'll be back Demiurge," I told him.

"It's alright, take your time, Lily san," Demiurge grinned and snapped his fingers.

The silence spell shattered and with it came an orchestra of terror, pain, anguish, and desperation. The desperate prayers, the hollow threats, and the begging, oh so much begging. It filled Demiurge with delight and he started laughing in excitement.

I sighed a little and left the frozen prison. I decided not to use teleportation to let him enjoy the screaming some more. After walking for a while, I saw a certain insectoid Guardian practicing in the cold. "Yo, Cocytus, how are you?" I greeted him.

Cocytus stopped in a middle of a swing. "Paradox. Sama," he spoke. "How. Can. This. One. Help. You?"

"No need to be so formal Cocytus, just call me Lily, I like that name more," I walked towards him and saw that he's currently wielding a large battle axe. "Say, are you going to the feast later today?"

"The. Feast. Of. Undeath?" cold mist blows out of Cocytus's pinchers. "Of. Course. I will. Celebrate. The. Rebirth. Of. Our. Lord. And. Master. Ainz. Ooal. Gown. And. The. Guardian. Shalltear. Bloodfallen."

Rebirth huh? I guess that's one way of saying it. "Sure, I'll see you there Cocytus."

It was then that I realized that if I not hurry, Demiurge and I might just miss the feast.

I teleported straight to the ninth floor and found myself staring at a gigantic table. The table is still empty but I can hear frantic footsteps and yelling coming from the kitchen nearby.

"Paradox sama!" A voice called out for me.

I turned around and saw a bunch of homonculus maids running towards me. They stopped right in front of me and bowed politely.

"Yes?"

"Ah, Lily sama! Ano…" the maids looked at me nervously. "Wh-when, Ainz sama was in the human world, do you… Do you notice what kind of food did he prefer?"

I rubbed my chin a little in deep thought. "Well… I think I saw him eating plenty of bread-typed food. Most of them are sweet but not that sweet. He also enjoy himself some drinks and…" I shrugged a little. "I dunno, we had the ring of sustenance with us so we didn't eat much. Though, make sure you have plenty of variety too, don't just give him bread only."

I kinda felt bad for not being able to answer that simple question. What is Ainz sama's favorite food?

The maids however, looked like I just told them the answer to life, the universe, and everything. "Thank you so much Paradox sama!" they bowed once again before running off back to the kitchen.

Being the only one in Nazarick who knew more about Ainz Ooal Gown than anyone else, I become subjected by anyone who wanted to ask something about their master but wouldn't dare to ask them themselves. At first, Albedo tried to murder me for it, but then I pointed out that I know exactly what to keep a secret and what is not. And now she's…

"Lily chan!!!"

I sighed a little and turned around. Only to find myself staring at a very, very thirsty succubus wearing nothing but an apron. "Yes Albedo?"

"Wh-what do you think?"

"You're trying real hard to make him rape you huh?"

A sharp moan came from her mouth and she pressed her legs together. "T-to think… I will get," she squirmed a little and I took a step back. "Tell me Lily… just how, how will he violate me?"

"Can we wait until the feast is over?"

"Kufu, so it's some sort of denial torture is it?"

Goddammit Tabula san, just what were you on when making her?

But still, this is a matter I need to take care of. The astronomically high expectations each guardians have to Ainz. This is one of the heaviest burden Ainz have to carry around. To meet all the guardian's expectations as a truly Evil Overlord.

"Albedo," the succubus looked at me. "Do you want to earn Ainz sama's trust?"

Albedo looked at me with a dead serious look on her face. "Yes, I'll do anything," she said.

"There are secrets of the Supreme Beings that are left hidden even from any of the Guardians," I told her. "I know each and every single one of them. One of these secrets carries the heaviest burden for the Supreme Being and also the reason why the forty abandoned you,"

The succubus froze, her wings twitched every now and then, and her eyes wide in surprise. "You know the reason why they abandoned us?"

"I have all his memories, yes," I told her. "This is a very critical information and I…" I looked away for a bit. Can I really trust Albedo? I mean, she was programmed to love Ainz but… What about Demiurge? Or even the rest of the Guardians? How am I going to explain this?

Albedo inched closer to me, obviously she wanted to hear about this more than anyone.

"The Nature of Gods," I said finally. "Yes, before we go there, I need to tell you about what Gods and Reality itself," I nodded a little. "We can talk about this more later, after the feast, goodness knows Ainz needs someone to share this burden with."

For a moment, the succubus was silent… But then, a smile formed on her face as she bowed at me.

"My greatest gratitude for giving me this opportunity, Fragment of Paradox,"

"You're welcome Guardian Overseer,"

With that, I teleported away towards my destination. It is a large library, easily bigger than a castle. Hundreds of racks full of hundreds of books stretched out as far as eyes can see.

An elder lich bowed at my presence. "Lady Paradox, welcome back. How can this one help you?"

"I need half a dozen sealing crystal and…" I looked at him a little. "Have you done the essay I gave you?"

Titus nodded and walked towards his study. Then he took out a thick sheaf of paper and I couldn't help but gulp nervously. "I've gathered information from hundreds of books," he spoke. "Though, forgive me for not being able to give a straight answer, the knowledge that you seek of was simply beyond everything I've ever heard before."

"It's alright Titus," I muttered before taking the sheaf of papers. I took a closer look and sighed in relief after knowing that Titus's writing is comparable to that of a typewriter. "This has been a huge help Titus, thank you."

The Elder Lich walked deeper into the library. When he returns, he has a box in his rotten hands. I took the box and opened it, revealing a dozen gray crystals. "Thank you," I told him.

"It is a pleasure, I bid you farewell, Lady Paradox. Thank you for gracing us with your presence."

With that, I walked out of the library and walked through hall way of the tenth floor. There, I saw Sebas and Tuare walking through the corridor with one another. "Sebas, Tuare," I waved at them.

Sebas and Tuare bowed in my presence. "Lady Paradox," Sebas said before raising his head. "How can I be of assistance?"

I was about to say no when I realized something.

Sebas is a Dragonoid. Tuare is an Angel. Both are in love with each other. Does this mean…

"Hmm… Sebas, I'm going to be frank with you, do you think Tuare can sire your child?" I asked him.

Tuare's face reddened a little after hearing that. Sebas on the other hand just shook his head. "There are no record in history about a creature born from an offspring of an archangel and a dragonoid," the butler said. "However… I wouldn't rule out the possibility that it simply hasn't been tried before," he added.

"Have you tried?"

This time, even Sebas couldn't help but feel flustered. "No, not yet,"

"Ah… Well, thank you Sebas, I gotta go now. You're going to the feast aren't you?"

Sebas nodded a little. "Yes, as the butler of Nazarick I will stand by the Supreme Being and serve him," he said.

Albedo might have something to say about that. But I decided to keep that to myself.

"Alright, Demiurge is waiting for me, later Sebas!"

"Farewell, Paradox sama…"

With that, I teleported myself back to the Frozen Prison. The screams of the damned welcomed me the moment I stepped in there and I quickly cast a silent spell. "Goodness, Demiurge, how can you work in this condition?" I asked the archdemon toying with the two test subjects.

"I'm just the type who enjoys listening to music while doing his work," Demiurge replied casually.

I rolled my eyes and took out one of the crystal. "[Boost Triplet Magic - Charm]!" I exclaimed and the crystal turned bright pink. Then I do the same to another crystal.

Then I looked at the two subjects. One, a young woman bowing on the ground and begging for the sweet release of death. The other, a bat-like monstrosity screeching and struggling under thick black chains. "Alright, let's try this," I tossed Demiurge one of the crystal and he caught it with his hand.

Demiurge went towards the bat monster and I went towards the woman. I crouched down to her level and gently pat her head. "Welcome to hell," I grinned at her, enjoying the priceless look on her face. "Now, take this crystal and use this on the monster that is about to rape you senseless… Maybe then you'll, you know, enjoy it…"

Twin flash of pink light burst forth and both turned into mere animals. I averted my gaze and cast [Clean] on myself. "The feast is about to start Demiurge," I glanced at the disgusting scene in front of me. "And I do not want to waste my time with… this…"

"Don't worry, I'll be there Lily san," Demiurge said.
