Chapter 16

He entered the class room and the attention of the other kids shifted onto him and they looked at him uneasily for a moment before going back to chatting with their friends or showing a cold and indifferent attitude as if everything and everyone around them was beyond their notice.

He scoffed at them and was about to go to the last seat when he realized that the only reason he even took that seat was so that he could keep an eye on Nie Li and the other students.

So instead of going to his usual seat, he instead turned around and walked up to another student and sat beside him.

"Hey. Du Ze right?" he asked.

Du Ze nodded "And you're the kid who killed that Blue four armed monkey demon beast."

He wanted to protest to being known as a killer but the boy wasn't wrong.

"Yup. That's me. Itachi Uchiha. Pleased to make your acquaintance." He said and they shook hands. He still found it a little strange to introduce himself as one of his heroes but he was slowly getting used to it "And what's the deal with me killing that demon beast anyway. Wasn't that exactly what the teacher told us to do?"

Du Ze gave him a strange look "So you don't know?"

"I don't know what?"

"Well… The demon beast fighting thing is a kind of initiation test that happens every year. The teacher always choose demon beasts that are much stronger than us. It is mostly to put us in place and rid us of our arrogance so that we won't underestimate even the weakest of Demon Beasts in the future. From what I'd heard from the rumors, no one has ever managed to kill a Demon Beast in the past 20 years. And had that crazy gleam in your eyes after you killed that Demon Beast as well. It made the other kids a little afraid of you."

"Ahh…" he said and then face palmed as he realized that despite wanting to stay under the radar, he was already gaining the attention of other people if only because of his ignorance.

He really needed to stay in touch with Du Ze or some other kid so that he won't do something like that again and gain the attention of the wrong people.

The reason why he even chose Du Ze was that among all the cronies that followed Nie Li, Du Ze was the most focused and the most hard working of them all.

Even in the original life, Du Ze was able to reach Gold Rank while Nie Li and the others didn't even reached Silver rank and only stayed in the Bronze Rank.

The fact that a commoner was able to achieve so much in 2 years without any support system to help him along the way was truly a marvel on it's own.

He wondered how far Du Ze will reach if he supported the guy.

He might not be able to give him the Dues Ex Machina items that Nie Li was able to provide him and the other 'brothers' with but he was definitely able to provide him with the best that the city could offer.

But before he could offer his servantship to the talented kid, the teacher entered the class and he had to postpone his decision.

"Good Morning class." The teacher said as soon as he entered the class and he quickly noticed the three large scars going across his face.

He wondered what demon beast that man had faced to gain such deep scars. He didn't know how the people in Glory City treated scars. Were they seen as a sign of weakness or were they worn with pride for facing and surviving against powerful Demon Beasts.

Their 'might makes right' culture was still a little difficult for them to comprehend.

"My name is Shu Yong. You can call me Teacher Shu or Teacher Yong, don't care which." The scarred faced teacher said with a nod "I'm your sparring instructor. So let's not waste anymore time and get to the sparring arena already."

He got up along with the other students and followed them until they reached the sparring area, which was just a clearing in a forest.

"When my next class takes place, I want you kids here, ready for your spars rather than sitting in your class. Is that clear?" the teacher asked and received a series of "yes sir."

"I asked, IS THAT CLEAR?"

"YES SIR!!" the students chorused together. Even the few arrogant young masters in the class joined in with the others.

"Good. Now I'll call you here one by one and you'll spar with one another."

One of the unknown cannon fodder kid raised his hand.

"What is it?" the teacher asked impatiently.

"What if we don't know how to fight Sir?" the kid asked.

"You joined a Fighter class in the Holy Orchid without even knowing how to fight?" the teacher asked in disbelief.

More than a few kids shuffled nervously and he wondered if he should join them. Because while he might get by when using the 'Roleplay Excellence' power, without it he had no fighting experience.

Maybe he should start focusing on learning how to fight. Roleplaying as a Martial arts teacher would allow him to know how to train his body.

"How many of you don't know how to fight?" the teacher asked with a glare as if even the fact that they didn't know how to fight was a personal offense to him.

At first only the kid who had asked the question raised his hand. Then one by one the other kids nervously looked around and started raising their hands and soon enough, over half the kids in the class had raise their hands.

The scarred face looked at the numbers and his anger turned into despair as he muttered something about 'Not enough pay' and 'Back in his day' and so on.

"Well. Even if you don't know how to fight, you'll still come here and participate in the spar so that I can see how bad you are and how much you need to improve. Don't worry about breaking a nose or two, the nurse would heal you by the end of the day." Scarred face said with a nonchalance wave of his hand.

The kids looked nervously at each other and the teacher unfurled the scroll before he started taking names.

"Ye Ziyun and Xiao Ning'er. Step forward."
