No more hunting

"MY PEOPLE, IT GIVES ME GREAT PLEASURE TO ANNOUNCE THAT PROTECTION MONEY WILL NOT NEED TO BE PAID BY ANYONE FROM NOW ON" I shouted across the field outside the castle, I was stood at my balcony on the third floor my people cheered as I made the announcement I waved at my people who were happy I spotted Dylan near the front he was smiling, he nodded at me when he saw me looking I nodded too and smiled I was happy because my people were happy I made my way back inside as the people started to leave I was faced by Tony he had a smirk on his face standing in the doorway with his arms folded across his chest

"well done your people love you more than they did before" I smiled as I flopped down on the bed he came and sat next me on the bed "listen I'm sorry about not telling you. I just didn't think about it, paying the money was like .... second nature" I nodded I understood 'oh god I hope she understands I hope she forgives me'

"of course I understand and I forgive you" I stated as I sat up on the bed he looked at me in shock

"how did you..." he trailed off I laughed

"I can read minds Tony just like you can" I announced

"wow" was his awesome reply he looked thoughtful his eyebrows furrowed and forehead creased "I don't understand everyone has one ability you have so far.... four abilities" he let me know as he counted them off using his fingers I nodded

"yep, cool huh?"

"I'll say, maybe its because you're royalty..... but then king Richard had one ability" I scoffed

"he didn't deserve to be king" I grimaced now it was his turn to nod

"yea you're right he was bad, if he didn't like you he killed you" I gasped was he serious "why do you think your mom left? she hated what her father was doing instead of staying to suffer she escaped, the king spent years ordering people to look for her and when they came back empty handed he killed them"

"i can't  believe my grandfather was a monster" I shook my head not being able to believe I was related to that man we talked a bit more as he told me more about what my mum was like I mean dad had told me about her but even he didn't know the real her he had known she was an alien but didn't know about her life and he was ok with that to him the present mattered not the past.

Tony and I went for a walk through the kingdom it was nice, people greeted us and bowed smiling, one man even walked up to me and asked for permission to kiss my hand. As I had stopped the protection money this man would have enough to look after his family I must say I felt proud of myself I couldn't help but wonder if my mum would've been proud of me too 'yes she would be' I heard in my head I looked towards Tony who was smiling he had read my mind and spoke to me too I smiled as a thank-you

We saw an ice-cream shop and decided to have some, I ordered mango and Tony ordered mint the ice-cream came in little tubs and you ate it with spoons (a/n: true fact in the country I'm describing) we sat eating the ice-cream in the air-conditioned cafe the booth we sat at was wooden with red cushioned seats when we finished we paid and went to walk past the forest as we were walking past blade came flying and sat on my shoulder

"hey gorgeous, did you miss me?" I smiled stroking his head with one finger he answered yes in my head he closed his eyes as he made a noise that sounded like a purr Tony laughed out loud

"I knew you had a way with people but now I find you have a way with animals too amazing" he stated shaking his head quite amused I just smiled wider then blade said something that wiped my smile off 'there's a wolf in the forest he's hurt you need to help him'

"show me the way" I told him

"what? What's wrong?" Tony asked looking worried as we started to run to keep up with blade

"wolf ..... hurt" I huffed out Tony didn't say anything he just followed

We got to a little area in the forest and I could see a crowd of different animals there were tigers, dear, and wolves one wolf turned his head he bowed then moved making way for me some other animals followed suit I soon saw a wolf in the middle, he was brown with black patches there was a she wolf sat next to him, I crept forward slowly holding my hands up I reached behind my back and took out my sword the she wolf growled a little "it's ok" I whispered I handed the sword to Tony "I'm here to help I whispered, the injured wolf whimpered her mate went to sit next to him again she plopped her head on her front paws I moved forward again I looked up and saw blade sat in a tree the wolf whimpered again as I sat next to him opposite his mate the wolf was lay on his back it was his stomach that was bleeding "oh what happened here?" I asked no-one in particular 'hunters' I heard in my head I knew it was the wolf because the voice sounded strained "what can I do?" I asked again 'nothing can be done my queen' he laughed in my head that upset me even more there must be something I could do but what? then I remembered when I was fighting Tom, I heeled myself maybe I could heel him, it was a long shot but I had to try I put my hands just above the wound and silently pleaded for the wound to heel but it didn't the she wolf whimpered for her mate I leaned closer to her over her mate and stroked her head "I'm sorry" I whispered tears fell from my eyes the tears fell on the wolf and the wolf whimpered again as more tears fell the tigers howled with the wolves I didn't understand as the animals sounded happy I looked down at the wolf and saw that the wound was heeled I sat back as the wolf stood up he put his nose on my neck which I took as a thank-you "you're welcome" I laughed all the wolves howled again they were happy that the wolf was fine a path was made and a big wolf walked towards me the wolf that had been injured spoke in my head 'he is our alpha' I nodded and bowed my head when I looked up the alpha was walking closer 'thank-you for saving him' he spoke in my mind

"you're welcome" I told him, the she wolf that had sat next to the injured wolf walked to me and licked my hand I sat down next to her and stroked her head after kissing it.

Blade spoke in my mind 'hunters keep killing these animals'

"why?" I asked 'for there skin, for there teeth, for food, oh and the main one for fun' I felt sick after hearing his words I knew straight away that something had to be done "Tony call the council members I want a meeting" Tony nodded we blinked back to the castle and Tony went on to organise the meeting whilst I went into the kitchen to get something to eat when I got there I asked the chef to make me a sandwich she made me an egg sandwich which I enjoyed as I swallowed the last bite Tony walked in and announced that the meeting was set for tomorrow morning I was ok with this I washed my hands then decided to go to the library to read.

The library was big with shelves and shelves of books there were so many it would take a year to count. This library had books from every known planet in the universe I sat down after choosing a book from Ropus, a planet in the eighth galaxy, and proceeded to read by the time I finished the book my eyelids were getting heavy I checked the grandfather clock to see it was ten o'clock I put the book back and stretched a little before blinking to my room I got changed into my pjs and went to bed.

I woke at seven the next day the meeting was at nine so I had two hours I took a shower and got dressed in a green ball gown I chose green because greens for nature I brushed my hair and blow dried it before putting it up in a bun yes I could have maids do this for me but I have hands and eyes why not do it myself? I made my way downstairs and to the kitchen there was a maid putting down some food which consisted of scrambled eggs on toast. when I finished eating a butler walked in announcing the council members were in the building I blinked to the throne room the room was painted red there were pictures of previous kings and queens there were seats that were coloured gold with red cushions on the seat and back my throne was bigger made of real gold the cushion and back were coloured blue I walked over to my seat and sat down. A maid knocked before she walked in

"you're majesty the councilors are here" I nodded and waved my hand as a signal to let them in Tony walked in to and came to stand by me whilst the councilors sat down on the other chairs

"i have called you here today because I went to the forest yesterday and learnt something....." I went on to explain and finished by adding " so from now on it shall be against the law to hunt" murmurs were heard amongst them until the councillor sitting nearest to me on the right stood up

"with all due respect you're majesty earthlings might not be meat eaters but enidanians love meat" all the other councillors made noises of agreement I cleared my throat loudly to get their attention they went quite

"Fact earthlings aren't all vagetarians, fact if these hunters were hunting for food and just food I'd be ok with it but they hunt for skin, teeth, and the worst one for fun" the councillors murmured "so the new law will be passed if anyone is seen hunting not for food they will be killed the animal in question will pick the way the person is killed" they all gasped "if an animal was attacking people you would expect me to kill that animal" the councillors nodded "then why should this be different?" I stood they followed and stood too they left after bowing I turned to see a smirking Tony "what?" I asked hesitantly

"your people loved you and now the animals will too" he smiled wider as I felt myself smiling with him he rubbed his hands together "so you wanna go tell them"

"hell yeah" I laughed "meet me where the wolf was injured" we both nodded and blinked I was in the forest I looked around to see Tony casually leaning on a tree

"took you long enough, where were you?" He asked jokingly "i was about to call a search party" I hit him on his arm playfully I heard leaves rustling behind me but my ability told me I wasn't in danger I turned slowly and saw a wolf I wasn't scared because I knew there was no reason to be

"hi I'm the queen of Enidan" the black wolf laughed, I think, 'i know you heeled me yesterday my queen' I gasped he was black the wolf from yesterday was brown "but you're black the wolf I heeled was brown with black patches" he nodded 'yes I'm naturally black but because I was loosing my life my fur changed it happens with wolves' he explained in my mind "oh" was my clever reply "well we came to let you know that a new law has been passed no hunting if anyone is seen hunting they will be killed" the wolf nodded 'good' I smiled happy that he was happy soon all the animals would know.
