Du Jinnian felt a sharp pain at the corner of his left eye and let go of Cheng Zinuo.

Cheng Zinuo frantically crawled out of the bathtub, clutching her body as she ran.

A slit opened at the corner of Du Jinnian's left eye and bright red blood oozed out.

He heard Cheng Zinuo crying as she wiped the blood off her face in the mirror.

Du Jinnian walked into the bedroom with heavy steps. He saw Cheng Zinuo curled up on the floor, with her head buried deep in her arms, and her body shaking non-stop.

Du Jinnian's heart throbbed in pain. He bent down to pick up Cheng Zinuo and then put her on the bed.

Seeing that Cheng Zinuo was still wet, he took a clean towel and dried her body before covering her with a blanket.

Tears still hung at the corners of Cheng Zinuo's eyes. She did not say a word, her eyes were empty, and she looked as if she had died.
