Will You Marry Me?

'Damsel in Distress' not the most original but very straightforward title.

"What is it about Nee-san?"

I'll just say Nee-san for now on, saying MinamiNee-san is too much of a hassle for me.

"WAH, Hayato-san is now calling me Nee-san, I must be lucky today, I mean, It's about a princess that was captured by a Evil Lord and a knight comes to save her and defeat the Evil Lord."

That is the most cliched plot I have ever heard but since it's a kid book can't blame the author although maybe there are some twist and turns as the story progress.

I thought wrong it's still the most cliched thing I've ever read, it's basically copy and paste of all Damsel in Distress type books, The princess is suddenly captured by the Evil Lord, the king tasks the most skilled knight to save the princess, Knight travelled across the continent, Confronted the Evil Lord, Killed the Evil Lord, Princess fell in love with the knight and vice versa, and they married happily ever after, THE END, basically the summary of the story.

I looked at my sister who was in awe of the book she read, she currently have the 'this is the best thing I've ever read' face on her.

"Why do people marry each other?"

Manami said with a curious face.

I replied back to her.

"Because they love each other, look at Oka-san and Otou-san they married each other because they love each other."

"Hmm, is that so, then will you marry me in the future, Hayato?"

Heh, did I just raise the 'Childhood Promise' flag without realizing? Crap, I take back what I said earlier, how do I get out of this without promising anything, the promise will be remembered and taken into heart if I promise her, the chances of her becoming a yandere is higher then before, wait I got it.

"Nee-san stop joking, marriage isn't something to joke about."

"But I'm not joking, Do you love me Hayato? Because I love you."

Huh, did I got confessed by my own sister, really awkward to hear it directly, but do I love her though? Yes but as a sister only, not as a girl, I highly doubt that she will understand what I mean if I say it, I set myself up in a trap, this is my fault for not being careful, wait maybe there is a way around this.

"I love Nee-san, but siblings can't marry each other, I saw on the news on the other day." It's a lie but I have to do what I have to do to not make a promise with her.

"I see, but if they allow it, would you marry me?"

Damn it, She's persistent, should I accept it? she already accepted immediately that siblings can't marry each other. Yeah let's vaguely accept it.

"I don't know Nee-san, but yeah maybe I would?"

Her expression is almost blank, showing no emotions, looking down at the floor, she jumped out of bed and quickly change her face to a Happy face like she had won the lottery.

"Wait here, Hayato, I'll go get something, don't move and wait for me here."

Dashing off in a blink of an eye, I waited for her, that girl has a talent to become a track star,

20 min.

I waited for her for around for about 20 min already and she hasn't come back yet.

Let's just go to Kaori, she's probably waiting for her Nii-san to play with her, I'll just play with Kaori, I'm sure Minami can show me what she wants to show me later.

Exiting out of my room, I looked left and right, and see no Minami on the hallway, I'll go to my parents room since that's where she sleeps for now.

Going to the door, I stood in front of it, and knocked:
