When his aura finally calmed down he was at the basic level of a master class and he seemed to have gained a little bit of bulk but not a lot as even I had a little bit of a struggle seeing the difference. After that he had a look of concentration on his face with a little bit of anger mixed in.
After he had his little power up we started to circle around each other and while doing so I noticed he had this glint in his eyes like he was searching for something, but no matter what it was in the end it was going to be a waste. After observing one another for a moment or two he threw a punch which I dodged by going under and then proceeded to hit him with a left knee to the ribs. After he recovered from the impact he started going for a left jab but I side stepped him and hit him with a right hook and a left knee to the side of his face with the hook and his left leg with the kick.
After that he started to speed up, probably trying to hit me before I could hit him and it might have succeeded if he wasn't fighting me. I hadn't even started to get serious, still he had a little more power getting me to use thirty percent or so of my full strength which in this world is a pretty good level. And after a minute or so of this back and forth of me dodging and me hitting him, he went down. And that was the end of the past world champion in this fight at least.
POV Ai
Wasn't this supposed to be a past champion? I mean when the aura around him got stronger I thought the pace of the fight would have changed at least somewhat but it still looked like DG wasn't even trying. I don't know a lot about this sport but even I knew that this was something abnormal, looking at DG he wasn't winded or anything he still had that calm face that hadn't changed since he walked out.
After that the rest of the fights were the same, all with DG dominating the ring and not being hit once, he was always calm at one point there were three people trying to hit him but they still couldn't and he took them all out before the time for the next fighter. After all twenty competitors had fought only one remained on the field and that was DG. He hadn't even started to breathe hard or anything. And honestly I'm wondering how I mean I get winded after a single concert or meeting and yet he had fought nineteen other people and was still not winded.
POV Shiro
Well that was interesting to say the least I figured I'd at least be somewhat tired but it seems that DG was more of a monster than I originally thought. I expected to take out all the fighters and be at least a little bit winded but I didn't even start breathing differently the entire time. But I guess I should have expected this considering that James Lee in chapter 428 took the j high trio all at once and only got hit because Daniel put his foot over James Lees and hit him when he couldn't move. So I guess I need to get used to being overpowered for a world like this where it's mainly just idols and actors as the main focus and not fighters like Daniel Park, Jong Gun, Goo, James Lee, ect…
After the fights ended I got announced as the winner to absolutely no one's shock. After the first five rounds the crowd started to chant my name and even started to bet on if I would get hit or not. I then proceeded to the back stage to be asked questions.
But then came the part of the night I wasn't looking forward to… the news and or reporters in other words. There would be an hour-long conference where people would be able to ask questions about the fight and things and then I would be free to go to my locker room and get ready to go home. Of course after I meet fans for a bit. I also need to meet up with the VIP's who paid extra to get a meet and greet in my locker. Luckily I bought the tickets for the last entry for Ichigo and his party of two other VIP's to go in as the last people to meet me before I head out for the night. So I would have extra time with them if I wanted to as the usual allowed time for a meet and greet for a VIP is a maximum of ten minutes.
But right now I need to focus on the present of heading to the press room for the interviews and questions for an hour, wada joy… and so as I walked into the press room I was assaulted by flashes of light from cameras going off and cameras recording. I walked over to the podium that was in the corner of the room with its facing chairs lined up in rows with reporters, news stations and others.
After I had my seat behind the podium with a microphone on the top to be where I could speak into the microphone. After I got settled the first couple of questions were asked. "What do you think about your win tonight? Do you think it will affect people's viewpoint of yourself?" Was the first two questions. The first question I answered by stating that I had no particular feeling of accomplishment for winning as all my opponents gave their bests in the fight. And the second question I answered by stating that I wasn't really concerned about what other people's opinion was about me as long as the people I love had a good opinion about me. Why care about the opinions of people I don't know? And like that I spent the next hour answering questions before heading to my locker room and resting for a few minutes before the VIP meetings.
(Author note here : Sorry about the delay in chapters. I had some things going on I had to take care of and got lost on the path of life. But from here on out at least for the summer there will be at least one chapter a week either on Monday or Thursday and if there are more I'll post them as they are ready
