Alex didn't exactly hear what he said due to the distance between them, but by reading his lips, he understood his words.
'All of this… don't tell me…' He thought, his eyes widening slightly in realization.
Port'hov was the country's minster of finance and technology, and also the second in command to the queen.
He was one of the oldest psychics in the world currently, so it wasn't too surprising that he was also one of the most powerful and experienced.
It was why he was chosen as the queen's special adviser, and was pretty much her second in command.
However, there was one thing Alex especially remembered him for, and it was neither his power nor current position.
Port'hov… he along with the current queen, were the ones who planned the coup which took place fifteen years ago.
The very coup which resulted in the death of his family, changing his life for the worse.
Alex still didn't know why such a 'big shot' like him was here, but from what was happening, he had a good idea.
'I should have known… he's responsible for all this!' Alex thought, his expression twisting into a deep frown.
After all, Port'hov was the only man he knew twisted enough to perform such an evil experiment, without any consideration for the lives that would be lost.
The more he stared at the man, the more the memories he had kept deep within him rapidly bubbled back.
He tightly clenched his fists, to the point where his nails dug deeply into his palm, and his body kept trembling in anger.
He wanted nothing more than to charge at the man, and beat him to death. However, he couldn't do anything except stare helplessly.
Even if he somehow managed to break free from the restraints, he still wouldn't be able to do anything to him.
Even after using all his strength, he wasn't able to touch even a single hair on Tiery, talk-less of Port'hov, who was far more powerful.
All because he was weak… too weak.
'Damn it…' He mumbled inwardly, cursing at himself. 'If only… if only I was stronger.'
His gaze drifted back to the boy, whose body was still trembling from the shock.
Spurt!
Blood kept pouring out from every part of his body, and before long, his whole body was drenched in blood.
"Arrgh!!!" The boy screamed in agony, and after a few seconds, his body went still.
Despite all this, the people in white coats simply nodded their heads. They weren't nodding out of pity for the life they just took, instead, it was one of disappointment.
"I-I guess I was right… to have said my last prayers." Alex heard the man beside him mutter, but he ignored him.
His eyes were only focused on the still body of the boy on the other end, and the other scientists standing around him.
As if his death was the signal they had all been waiting for, the white coated scientists calmly walked towards the other nine in the room, each holding a similar large syringe.
Even amidst the boy's loud shouts, the others in the room remained fast asleep in their pods, with the exception of Alex and the blonde-haired man.
"Damn you all… I'll kill you!!" The surface he laid on violently shook, as Alex kept pulling on the straps with even more strength.
The metal restraints dug even deeper into his flesh, however… they didn't budge in the slightest.
Swiishh!!
The glass covering him swiftly opened up, as one of the scientists came to his side, looking down on him with disdain.
He gently tapped the large syringe in his hand, regulating the flow of the strange red fluid, before turning back to Alex.
"Don't yo—"
Spurt!
Alex's words were cut short, as the man suddenly stabbed the needle into his chest.
"Kukh…" Alex mouth parted in shock, letting out a light cough.
He only watched helplessly, as the scientist slowly injected the red fluid into his chest, before pulling out the syringe.
"W-what… I-is… this…?" Alex mumbled, feeling his body go numb all of a sudden.
He couldn't feel any part of his body, neither could he hear anything. His sight rapidly turned blurry, and he could barely even make out anything.
It was as if he was sinking… slowly sinking into a strange emptiness.
The weird numbness only last for a few seconds though, and the next thing that followed was pain.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
His heart suddenly started beating rapidly, to the point where he felt like it would burst out of his chest.
"Argh…" Alex let out a light groan, as blood was speedily pumped all through his body.
His chest burned with pain, and the force at which blood rushed through his body made him feel like he would explode.
However, he withstood the pain, determined not to give Port'hov the joy of seeing him shout.
"Arrrgg!!" By now, the others in the room had already started screaming, unable to bear the pain coursing through their body.
Crack!!
The bones in his arms suddenly snapped, causing Alexander's eyes to widen in shock.
While he was still trying to withstand the pain, more bones within his body started breaking.
Some of them pierced out of his skin, creating holes all over his body.
Blood gushed out of the holes, dyeing his body and the surface he laid on red.
His skin rapidly heated up, and it felt like he was being stabbed all over by a thousand needles.
Despite him trying to withstand the pain, it was rapidly increasing, and at the end, it because too much for him to bear.
"Agh… Arrgh!!" Alex shouted, his body spasming violently.
"Kukh!" Blood continuously sprayed out of his mouth, splashing on his torso. His eyes stung with pain, as blood flowed out of it, trickling down his cheeks.
'M-my body seems to be r-reaching… its limit. Am I… r-really going to die here?' Alex thought, coughing out blood once more.
The pain went on for a few more minutes, each second about ten times worse than the last.
Most of the slaves in the room had already become motionless, their life long gone.
'I-i can't die… n-not… like this… I haven't done anything yet… I need to make them pay!' Alex thought, gritting his teeth together in anger.
Those were the last thought that crossed his mind, before his body went still and his mind was consumed by darkness.
