1.3 the plot strikes back!

It was another bright sunny day. Blake's mother, Ms. Robenhouse, was a medic and healer who could both utilise medicine and use high leveled healing spells, was currently visiting a noble's house to heal their sickly child. And Blake, followed along with her.

Blake's maternal family, the Robenhouses was not dirt poor, but nor was it filthy rich. They were normal commoners who people looked up to. As Felix Robenhouse, Blake's grandfather was an admirable man who became a royal knight with pure talent alone. And Blake's mother, a half-elf who is extremely talented in many aspects. Though no one ever mentioned about Felix Robenhouse's wife, the unknown elf, many knew how great she were.

In the book, nothing was mentioned about Blake's family. So, learning about his backstory more in depth was quite fun.

5 years ago, when Aliyah Robenhouse, Blake's mother came home after finding out she was pregnant, the people were furious. Not at her, but at the noble who laid their hands on Aliyah. Aliyah was known as a sweet and kind half-elf. Despite her extremely high magic circle stage, she never showed it off nor did she use it for her own gain, instead, she helped the people around her. When the townspeople knew about her pregnancy, they came together and helped her.

The women would give her advice about how to take care of babies while giving her a perfect diet plan, baby clothes, some maternity clothes, and giving anything Aliyah was craving. While the men would carry heavy weights whenever Aliyah's father wasnt around, or would accompany her during her duties to her clinic. Overall, the town was like a giant family. And Blake was incredibly happy listening to these stories from his mother.

"Ohh, we're here!" Ms. Aliyah said, watching as the carriage pulled to a stop. Infront of the large manor, two figures could be seen, standing at the door with worried expressions.

Aliyah opened the door and hopped off before picking up Blake and setting him down next to her. Then, the mother and son pair walked up to the door and bowed, greeting the two men.

"Count Portman, I am doctor Aliyah, at your service."

"Come in, my youngest is currently in bed," the man at the front said. His face held worry as his eyebrows furrowed, making him look as if he was the one who was sick.

Aliyah rushed along with the butler up the stairs as Blake pitter pattered along behind, not actually trying to catch up, but only to follow.

Soon, they reached a door. The dark brown door stood tall as the butler pushed it open. Inside, was a woman wearing extravagant clothing as she held a child's hand. Blake's eyes followed the hand that was held tightly by the woman and saw a sickly boy lying down on his bed, sweating profusely as he huffed and puffed, gasping for breath.

Aliyah, Blake's mother, rushed in and set her bag next to the bed before gently, placing her hand on the child's wrist, feeling for his pulse. The woman, who held the boy's hand, which, Blake presumed to be the boy's mother, stepped back as she watched what Aliyah would do anxiously. Aliyah sighed and placed her hand on the boy's chest, and at the next second, an outline of a magic circle appeared on the boy, as the outline of the magic circle rotated around Aliyah's arm. With a small grunt, a bright light emitted from the magic circle and throughout the room.

The light slowly faded as Aliyah retracted her hand. The boy's mother quickly rushed up to the boy, along with the man from earlier and saw, that the boy had stopped breathing haggardly and finally breathed normally as he ceased to sweat. The two parents sighed in relief and asked Aliyah about what happened.

"Mana reflux. He has tremendous talent. If he could convey it right, he could become a genius. Unfortunately, his 4th stage magic circle could not hold his mana and caused a reflux.

Luckily, I had managed to fix his mana stream, but that is merely a temporary measure.

I suggest you come to me every 2 weeks for the next month to see if he improves. Meanwhile, I shall try and concoct a medicine," Aliyah said with a smile as she bowed to the count and countess.

"Thank you... thank you so much...." the countess smiled as tears ran down her makeup full cheeks and she bowed to Aliyah for gratitude.

Aliyah smiled and held the countess gently, soothing the noble with her smile, "Please, countess, I merely did what I could, it would be great if your son could be cured as soon as possible."

"Thank you, so much, miss Aliyah. Us Portmans will never forget this gratitude," said the count, as he lowered his head in thanks.

Blake only watched from the side and smiled, a proud look on his face as he stared at his mother who was trying to make the countess stop crying with a flustered look on her face.

Blake: THATS MY MOM RIGHT THERE–

2 weeks later, the Portmans arrived at Aliyah's small clinic. Behind the count and countess, was a small brown haired boy with emerald green eyes, staring curiously at the dark haired elf beauty infront of them. And Blake, stood behind his mother, staring at the boy with suspicious eyes.

Blake : oi- stop staring at my mom with those crummy eyes!

Blake pouted silently as he only tugged his mother's white lab coat. His mother only ruffled the child's hair as he began to examine the brown haired boy.

"He's in the clear for now. It's better for you to let him start exercising a little and let him start practicing his magic.

Here are some medicine I had made to relieve his severe symptoms. Only use it when he has the same symptoms as before.

When the medicine runs out, feel free to come back. I'll be here," Aliyah smiled as she gave a small jar full of blue round medicine.

The countess thanked Aliyah repeatedly as she held the jar tightly in her arms. Aliyah smiled and ruffled the brown haired boy's head and gave him a piece of candy.

While Blake's mother was trying to ease the Countess's tears again, Blake was downstairs, near the clinic's entrance reading a book about herbs and their medicinal properties.

Suddenly, a knock could be heard from the door.

"Blakey sweetie, could you get that for me?" His mother's voice could be heard from upstairs.

"Alright!" Blake replied before hopping off the stool he sat on and rushed to the door.

Using both of his hands, he clutched the handle and opened the door, seeing a man with extravagant clothing. Blake looked up and saw the man's face. A youthful man with dark emerald green hair and familiar yellow eyes that looked almost golden. Very similar to Blake's. The man wore glasses as it reflected some sunlight, looking down at Blake with an intimidating gaze.

"Are you Blake?" The man asked. The man's voice was sounded calm as it had a small hint of curiosity. Blake stared at the man in the eyes as he saw the curious but intimidating look in the man's eyes.

"I am, who's asking?" Blake replied. Unfortunately to the man, Blake wasnt intimidated at the man's gaze. His grandfather's gaze was more intimidating.

"Where's your mother?" The man asked.

"Upstairs, tending to a patient." Blake replied.

"I see," the man said as he picked Blake up, holding the back of Blake's collar with only one hand.

Blake, surprised began shouting curses in various languages that he learned from his past life.

"BLAKE?! ARE YOU OKAY?!" His mother rushed down the stairs, hearing Blake's excessive curses and shot an ice bullet as soon as he saw the man who was holding her child.

"Hello Aliyah, it has been a while," the man said, his icy gaze landed on the bullet that left a giant hole at the door frame, barely missing the man's head.

Blake: that couldve been you, mister.

Green haired man: ....that couldve been me

"What do you want? Put down Blake and we can talk about this," Aliyah said.

Then, all three Portmans that rushed along with Aliyah caught the green haired man's gaze. His eyes glanced at Aliyah and then to the Portmans.

"Finish your business first. I'll be waiting with Blake," he said and left with Blake struggling in his clutch as the small man turned boy spouted profanities in languages even the man himself didnt understand.

Later, 15 minutes later, Blake stopped struggling as he only let the man tuck Blake in his arm, letting his legs dangle loosely.

"Tired?" The man asked.

"Shut up, you !#%$& you literally kidnapped me. Dont expect me to be courteous," Blake huffed, crossing his arms as his cheeks puffed up unconsciously.

The man stared at Blake with an unreadable gaze as his jaw clenched for a few seconds before un-clenching again.

"So, mister. Who are you?" Blake asked, fiddling with one of the golden buttons on the man's sleeve.

"Aegus Liam Acker. That's my name,"

Blake: Now... where have I heard of that name before?

As if the man named Aegus saw Blake's confused and pondering face, he cleared his throat, earning Blake's attention as they both stared into each other's eyes.

"I am your father."

".....f**k."
