The Stolls' Prank Backfires

After the Second Giant War, everyone was down in the dumps, so the Stolls decided to prank everyone in one go. Sure, a lot of campers will be after them after this, but it would be a great laugh.

Travis and Connor let Leo and Percy in on the prank, mainly because they needed help.

Percy found Leo in Bunker 9 building the cannons. They had to be built with perfect dimensions.

"Hey, Leo, my man!" Percy said, with a troublemaker grin on his face. "How about we have some fun of our own?"

One look at Percy and Leo had a devilish grin mirroring Percy's. His hair burst into flames as he shouted, "I don't know what you're thinking, but let's do it!"

Percy quickly explained his plan. Then, he left in search of Jason. When he found him, he pulled him aside.

"Hey bro."

"Hey bro."

"How would you like it if you helped change one of the Stolls' pranks to make it funnier?"

"Oh yeah, bro. They are going to be so pissed."

"No they won't. They'll probably laugh at themselves."

"Let's make a bet. 5 drachmas they will be pissed."

"You don't even know what we're going to do yet but you're on."

"Anyone else helping bro?"

"Yeah, our man Leo is."

And Percy quickly explained his plan one more time.

Within the course of three weeks, they had everything ready. The Stolls didn't think anything could go wrong with their plan. Oh, how wrong they were!

Near the end of lunch, their plan was put in motion.

Percy pretended to go to the bathroom. In reality, Percy discreetly made his way towards the lake. He willed the water to rise and splashed the unsuspecting campers. The Dining Pavilion was filled with outraged campers. Clarisse could be heard yelling, "I'll get you for this, Prissy!". The Stolls were laughing at everyone. While everyone was distracted, Percy and a soaking wet Leo made their way over to a soaking wet Jason. Hey, they couldn't make it obvious they were in on the prank. Leo's cleverly hidden glitter cannons got ready to shoot.

This is where everything started to go wrong. Slowly but surely, every drop of water rose and formed a big puddle on top of the Stolls. The campers were confused. If they were going to get pranked, then why was the water going on top of the Stolls?

The Stolls were equally confused but realization dawned on their faces. Percy changed something in their plan and that something was bad for them. They tried running but Jason willed the winds to stop them and pulled them in the middle of the cannons.

By now, everyone formed a circle around them and was looking to where Percy was standing on the Zeus table with Jason on his left and Leo on his right. All three had devilish grins. Percy and Jason had their hands outstretched to control the water and wind. Leo's hair was on fire and he was holding a remote in a threatening way. Travis and Conner looked like kicked puppies.

"Travis, Connor, while your prank was going to be funny, I decided to upgrade it and my team agreed to help." Percy started.

"While on the Argo II, we have perfected the art of pranking and this will get us an angry Piper but it's worth it admitting." Jason continued dramatically.

"You took all my hair feathers, put swamp green dye in my shampoo, and painted Katoptris' sheath bright pink!? I mean I know that Repair Boy did it, but you were in on it too!? Do you know how long it took me to clean Katoptris' sheath? And the swamp green so did not go with what I had to wear! Why swamp green? It didn't wash out for a week!" Piper rambled angrily.

The Stolls, by then, have given up trying to escape. They chuckled at Piper's ramble. "Shut it Stolls, or you'll be sorry!" she shouted. They shut up. They knew better than to talk back to an angry Piper.

"Yes Beauty Queen, Sparky knew." Leo dismissed. He turned back to the Stolls. "While we encourage you to keep pranking, we advise you to be more careful with who you trust for them." He used dramatic hand gestures while his speech that earned a few chuckles.

Percy then turned his attention to the campers, which were watching eagerly, and said, "Fellow Greeks, we have been victims of the Stolls' pranks too many times. Now it is time for payback. Let's prank these master prankers! Who's with me?!"

The campers cheered and clapped. They had gleeful expressions. "Do you have anything to say to the Stolls?" Percy asked the campers. You could see it in their eyes they were itching for much-needed payback.

Clarisse yelled, "This is for changing the mines into glitter bombs!"

Katie then yelled, "I love you Travis, but this for pranking me every other day."

This started a chain reaction, everybody saying why the Stolls deserve this.

By now, Percy had willed the water back to the lake for a rest. They couldn't escape Jason's grasp, no matter how much they tried.

Satyrs and nymphs also joined in the shouting.

Mr.D and Chiron were watching amused from the side. Chiron made his way to the table. The campers fell silent and Travis and Connor had a hopeful look. Only Percy didn't look worried because he told Chiron what they were going to do. In fact, Travis' and Connor's looks quickly got crushed when Chiron said calmly, "This is for changing the legs on the wheelchair I use as a disguise." And he went to stand with the campers.

Percy used this moment of silence to say, "Any last words, Stolls?" He obviously said this to be dramatic and he got a few laughs.

With a look to each other, Travis and Connor said,

"It's an honor -"

"- to be pranked -"

"- by the one -"

"- the only -"

"- Percy Jackson." They finished in unison.

"Well then," Percy smirked. He pointed the palms of his hands at them and they were shot with two jets of water till they were dripping wet.

"Leo, will you do the honors?"

"With pleasure Percy. I need a countdown."

"10, 9, 8" Percy and Jason started. The campers joined in. "7, 6, 5, 4" Everyone let Chiron finish the countdown. They had never seen the old centaur so excited for something. "3, 2, 1."

Leo pressed the button. The cannons shot the carefully placed glitter. The Stolls now had a new look. Their skin was covered in green glitter and their hair with red glitter. Their clothes had pink glitter all over them. On their t-shirts, written in blue glitter, were the words, 'We deserve this.' the only places left uncovered were their eyes, mouths, and shoes.

1 second. 2 seconds. 3 seconds. Then...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Campers laughing everywhere. Leo fell off the table and Percy and Jason were clinging on to each other like their lives depended on it. "I didn't expect it to work so well." Jason said, laughing uncontrollably. Chiron never laughed so much in all of his immortal life. Tears of pure joy rolled down the campers' faces. Clarisse went over to Percy and said, "You're forgiven for the splash earlier, Prissy."

It took 45 minutes to get everyone under control. Surprisingly, the last two laughing were the Stolls themselves. One look at each other, and they were immediately laughing heaps on the floor.

Percy managed to make his way over to them and, with laughs threatening to escape, he said, "You can't take it off till after dinner. Like, you physically can't because I'm controlling the water that the glitter is stuck to." And with that, he walked away proudly.

Throughout the rest of the day, they were laughed at. But they didn't mind. How could they? They made every camper a laughing stock one way or another and it was finally their turn.

Annabeth found Percy on the beach. She sat down next to him. "Hey, Seaweed Brain, that was amazing, what you did. Do you know how many times I tried to get back at them for the fake tarantula in my bed? It never felt enough. You fulfilled something the others couldn't. You managed to prank the Stoll Brothers, the best prankers in all of the camps. I'm proud of you."

They laughed. Laughs filled with amusement and affection.

"Thanks, Annabeth. Now I better go back. I should find the Stolls and remove their glitter look. I also have to find Jason because he owes me 5 drachmas. Good night Wise Girl."

"Good night Seaweed Brain."

They kissed goodnight.
