Reincarnation

I died.

I am an average guy who works 9-5 to make a living. Or is it survive? I don't know. I was not a smart guy in college but I have good communication skills which helped me land a job. For the next few years, I struggled each and every day to make my life better but nothing is ever easy in life. 

My parents had an accident and when I reached hospital, my mom was already dead. Father was in comatose state and I have been working overtime to fill in those hospital bills. Its been five years now and there is no improvement. 

Today is an important day for me. I have to meet a client and convince them to give their project to the company I'm working. If I could pull this off, I would get a 50% raise or I would get fired. I prepared everything. Documents, Presentations, etc. I met with the client, a fat guy in his 40's with an expression of peng clan's young master. I explained everything patiently even though he was acting as an ass. Almost 40 mins into the meeting, he got a call and to my surprise, or disgust, he was talking to another company and the project is handed to them. Just like that. and the left.

I just sat there for a min. I have been explaining all that shit to him for almost 40 mins, and he hands it over to others just like that? Then you should have told me that you're not interested you fat ass bitch. AAAHHHHH.

After 10 mins, I got a call from my manager saying that I could not land the project and I am fired. I was pissed, very pissed and upset. I wanted to cool myself so I went to my fav food stall ordered some fried chicken. Nothing can be done by staying pissed for so long. I have to find a new job asap. 

Just as my order came, I got another phone call. I don't wanna talk to anyone right now, but after looking at the number I had to. It is from the hospital. They told me that my father passed away. 

I just wanna die.

It was 11pm when I reached home after completed all the procedures and I don't wanna do anything. I went straight to my bed. I cried. a lot. Nothing is going good for me. No matter how hard I try to plough through the bad time, they keep coming back stronger. I cried myself to sleep that night.

When I open my eyes, I was in a white room, and I am not me. I mean I don't have my body, I am like a whisp or is it like a soul? Just as I was pondering about my existential crisis, I heard a voice.

"Welcome child"

I looked towards where the voice came from and there I saw a humanoid looking silhouette which is entirely grey. A part of my non-existent brain is thinking that this is just a dream and I will wake up sooner or later. But another part, is what I want to be true. So I wanna confirm it.

"Who are you? and Where am I?" 

"I am a god. I am responsible for guiding the souls to afterlife and reincarnation. I am what you guys call ROB from those funny fictions of yours. And you are in my place."

"Thanks for explaining. Do all souls come to your place when they die? I see no one except me here."

"Souls do not come here when they are being judged and guided to their next destination. They won't even register or see anything. But you are a special case."

"How am I a special case? Apart from doing basic charity, I never did anything noteworthy to become a special case for a god."

"You are correct. The reason you are special case is because you died before your time and that is because of the fault of another god. While he was writing your fate, he had a heated argument with his wife because he cheated in her dreams. That went on for quite some time. Because he was upset and angry, he accidentally gave you the worst fate and thus your struggles. Now he requested me guide your soul to a better next life."

I can't believe my life got fucked up just because of pointless arguments between a couple.

"Got it. So what now? Will I be reincarnated into earth again?"

"No, the reincarnation cannot be done on earth. However, I can reincarnate you into any fictional world you like. I saw your entire and I see you have been a fan of many shows. So what do you say?"

"I would love that. I wanna be reincarnated into the one piece world. But before we proceed, Can I get any perks or wishes which would help me throughout my journey?"

"Yes you can. You can wish for things you want but they should not be too powerful and should be in the premise of the world you are going to be. For example, as you are going to be in the one piece world, you can't ask for rinnegan or a zanpakuto as they are not of the one piece world and you also can't ask for God level Mythical Zoan fruits which are too powerful. So let me know what perks you want and I will tell you if you can have them."
