Another day came. Josh was sitting by a cafeteria, looking at the sky while sipping coffee.
Surprisingly, it was empty, and the waitress was very polite to him and toward his group.
"Did the newspaper arrive?" Josh asked the waitress.
After what happened yesterday, Josh was ready to see his announcement of a Warlord. Also, today he would put his girls to the test. Since he had given them some up-gradation, it's good to observe them in action with their Devil Fruits and see if they can hunt pirates.
"No sir." The waitress said nervously, even though Josh wasn't showing threatening signs on his face. In fact, he was handsome, cute, not a large or scary man at all. He was just your friendly guy. But the more innocent the guys looked, the more dangerous the girls next to him were.
Still. The huge cut marks that had been caused by his battle with the Vice-Admiral had made their mark on Water 7's map.
People wouldn't forget that reminder. Especially since rumours that he had beat the Franky Family. And Franky is an underworld boss.
Once the waitress left after asking for permission, Josh tilted his head on the chair and put his legs on the table, looking bored.
Kalifa, who was sitting on the side, stood up and gave him a slight bow. "I'll come with the newspaper soon."
Josh raised his eyebrow. It seems that his women are doing things for him. To be honest, it felt good for him. Josh loved this luxury and he nodded at Kalifa, who gave him a small smile like a good obedient little girl.
Once she left, Josh stared up at the roof.
"It's a good day to be alive."He is in a unique situation now. He can get strong by using money. He could gain money without even trying to move. However, he couldn't just stay and laze around.
Anyway, Josh hadn't even planned to laze around while others do the work. There are a few things on his task list, and one of them is to get a few Devil Fruits, specific ones, and the others are to rip the utmost benefits he can get before rebelling against the World Government.
Josh now is a ticking bomb. Talking about the ticking bomb, he wondered how Stussy is doing. It has been only one day, and he had planted his demonic lust seed in her… just for purpose of having someone inside the government. But he wondered when they will meet again, since the agent should be in the Grand Line, running a big line of the prostitution industry.
"Whatever."
"What are you thinking of," Mikita asked.
"Nothing."
"But you are getting a bit hard." Said Robin, reading Josh's body language.
"It's me, of course," Marianne said, not giving Josh a chance to reply.
"Great." Mikita rolled her eyes. "Hancock taught you how to use your mouth, and now you are acting dramatic like her."
"Burn," Robin faked a cough.
That was about the blowjob technique Hancock used yesterday. Marianne had learnt very well from her.
"Boo…." Marianne stared at Mikita and extended her tongue
"Gimme' a break." Josh sighed.
Josh was only with three, plus Kalifa. Hancock and her sisters had gone back to the Kuja ship. They have to do some piracy in order to get some supplies back to their home island.
Very soon, Kalifa came back with a newspaper in her hand. She handed it to Josh, who found that his name was on the first page. There was his picture with the workers of the government. It didn't show Stussy, which is understandable given the fact she is attending Big Mom's parties. But he has to admit, her back is good to look at. Josh coughed when he saw three heads between him and the newspaper.
"Mind me, I'm trying to read."
"Oh, here is Kalifa, next to you." Mikita pointed. "I didn't get to take the pic." She seemed a bit upset when she said that.
Sighing, Josh patted the back of her head. "You're my best blond. I can't just show you to the world."
"I'll take your word for that, next time, I'll be with you on the newspaper picture."
"No, me…" Marianne said, objecting.
Mikita glared at her. "I'll break your face so bad."
"Good Luck. I'm a logia user." Marianne extended her tongue. Although Mikita punched her now, the fist passed through her, and a few sparks of electricity appeared on her.
"Josh!" Mikita held Josh's arm and opened her eyes widely.
"Now, stop being naughty, both of you. If you are angry, chase pirates."
Josh then flicked his finger on Marianne's forehead, making her hold it in pain as a red mark appeared there. Mikita opened her eyes widely and stared up at Josh. "You have to teach me that."
"Josh, please, don't," Marianne begged.
Raising the newspaper and reading the article about him, he said. "You'll learn it. Later, just I have to get lightning fruit, and then, there is a great place to train."
"Lighting fruit?" Robin raised her eyebrow.
"Place to train." Mikita tilted her head.
"All would be explained in time. Now, let's put you in use."
With that said, Josh gave Kalifa the newspaper. She only gave a slight bow and then they left. Josh then took the group outside.
Josh noticed that the people were no longer trying to avoid him as a blood lusty pirate. He was a warlord now, meaning, if he wanted to rob them, no one can stop him, even the law would be on his side. Of course, Josh doesn't find pleasure in robbing innocent civilians, unless they were rich and come to his casino to play.
'I won't open a casino again. It would be a waste of time if it got closed.'
Josh and his group soon arrived at the seaport. Although Water 7 was the location of the great battle yesterday, people were still going there.
Pirates, specifically, would come here since it deals with them, and they need a new ship or fixes anyway.
This made it a perfect day, or a place, to hunt pirates. Even though it would harm the City's economy, Josh isn't planning to stay here forever. If you fish in the same place over and over, there would be no fish left.
"Okay, get me as much as you can from the pirates. Don't forget their treasures and gold," Josh said. "Remember, in Baroque Works, we used to know that pirates have wealth in their ships more than their head. Since they are in Water7, it means they can afford a ship."
Josh had a smirk when he said that. The best part, he isn't going to do anything but watch over them with his Haki.
After instructing the girls to hunt, they left to look for pirate ships to hunt them. Josh went then to the Kuja Pirates ship. He met with the amazons, sat down on the chair, and asked. "Where is Hancock."
"She is in the bath, with Sonia," Marigold said. "You made them dirty last night, haven't you."
Josh only smiled at her. "Maybe."
Josh assumed that they are testing the effect of Angel Tears.
"I took a bath too, you know?"
"Why are you telling me."
"Nothing."
Sighing at his sister in law, Josh took a chair and sat down, facing the sea. He then closed his eyes.
Although it seems that he is doing nothing, he, in fact, was training. He was keeping track of 4 girls with observation Haki, while they are in 4 separate directions. Even though it is hard to do, he can adapt with his talent.
Josh had a smirk on his face. He had just sensed Robin cracking the neck of a strong group of people. All of them were done with. She then headed inside of their ship and was collecting a pile of gold, a big one — which he assumed more than a hundred million worth — before heading out.
On the other hand, Kalifa was assassinating a group of pirates, and she didn't take a long time to get done with them. A master of six powers with a Devil Contract boost isn't to underestimate here.
Josh switched his attention to Mikita. She had just split another pirate ship group with one kick. It seems she would light her weight at the beginning to a very lightweight, around 0.25 kilo. It would increase the speed around 5 times.
Once she moved her leg, she would increase her weight to the max, around 22500 kilos. Increasing both speed and weight has a massive effect on the final result. Eventually, that created a bigger projectile than Robin's big leg can create.
'It seems that I've motivated them by staying at Water 7.' Josh almost had a tear of pride. Not only was motivated to learn Haki, but so they were. He has to make sure to thank Kalifa later for doing a good job teaching them.
He then checked up the softest girls, whose muscles are so soft. Marianne was floating above a pirate ship. The crew was about to bother her, but few symbols were enough to hypnotise them. The pirates then grabbed the money they are saving for a ship, and Marianne floated. Extending her hands down, beams started flying out of them. The beams were so hot that the ship was on fire, and it was broken in no time.
Josh lowered his head and laughed.
"What's funny," Marigold asked, hearing him. She was just standing behind him.
Marianne was unable to lift the money bag and drag the captain and those who has a bounty. Although she is a logia user, that didn't increase her physical strength.
People in One Piece are gifted with good initial strength. Nami, for example, although she is very weak, could lift a hundred kilo of gold and run with max speed from pirates. (Probably One Piece Logic)
"She can't drag the bag, and the captain." Josh thought that Marianne was quite weak physically and that he needs to upgrade her strength later. Seeing her like that made him feel that she is so weak that he needs to protect her. 'It's natural for a Daddy to feel like that.'
"Who?"
"Nothing."
Marigold stomped on her foot, taking Josh out of his Observation Haki.
Josh turned his face to her. "Did you eat yet?" he asked.
"No." She replied, crossing her arms.
Josh sighed. If her sisters are not around and she is hungry, she would just fight.
He knows how to deal with annoying people like her.
"Did you lose weight? I swear you look different from yesterday." Josh said, faking an amazed expression. 'That's how you shut up a chubby girl on diet.'
"Oh, you noticed!" Marigold held her cheeks which were turning red. Since she is just chubby now, her face was applied to her skull. She has a good looking pretty face. "I lost three kilos on my cheeks."
Pretending not to hear that, Josh focused on the sea's direction and watched as the hunt continued.
Soon, Hancock called him to the bath, with her and Sonia, and he excused himself. Entering inside, he found that she and Sonia, who tasted angel tears, were bathing in seawater, amazed at the fact they can swim. After seeing that, Josh joined them and had a good time with salty water
-x-X-x-
Josh was standing in the bank. He had skipped his turn and was directly looking at the manager.
He turned his head toward the people who made a line behind him. They were here first, but Josh didn't even ask and no one made him wait.
'Respect plus.' Josh could swear he could see that in his mind as he turned to the manager, who joined his hands together and smiled at him.
The banks in One Piece usually cash gold. But they also can cash the defeated pirates. It seems they have a contract with the World Government on the islands that have no marine bases. The bank only takes fees.
Josh cashed the pile of the pirates who were tied, and also their gold. The girls did a great job. As he took the pile of the money, he turned and looked at them and said he is so proud of them. Mikita giggled slightly and gave his shoulder a small punch. Mikita had made sure to add enough weight to make it a bit painful.
Robin pretended it's nothing, while Marianne swept on her forehead as she seemed to be tired. "Josh… do you have some steroids… I'm so tired." She said, resting her head on his shoulder.
"Rest assured, daughter," Josh said, patting her head and lifting her with his other hand.
Josh then extended his arm as he was out. Kalifa smiled as she understood what the means and she sank her fangs in his wrist, drinking as much as blood to fulfil herself. "Your blood is the best. But something is lacking."
"Tell me when we get home."
"Sure, tonight," Josh said with an ordering tone that made Kalifa only nod.
Putting the money, which is a combination is pirates earnings and their bounty, in his system, Josh counted the money exactly. Sure enough, the bank didn't trick him.
'700 Million Berries'
Although it's a good amount for today, not every day is the same. Tomorrow there would be fewer pirates, and eventually, there wouldn't be as much money as he just gained.
After all, even if it's the Great Era of pirates they are living and a new pirate is born every day, they don't just come to Water 7 every day. Josh would eventually have to move. But since he is here, he would rip off the benefits.
On a side thought, Josh thought that Marianne's business is a good way to make Berries. In the past, despite being wanted, she had made a good amount. Now that he is a Warlord, Josh can go worldwide.
Everyone in the street saw Josh's eyes almost turning green from the Berries he was thinking of.
Once Josh went back to the girls' house, he had lunch. Marianne was tired that she lay on the couch, while Mikita and Robin just sat there. Josh wanted to spend a little time with them; they just chatted for a bit, exchanging topics. After they were done talking, Josh turned his head to Kalifa.
"To the backyard."
"Ahem… It's daylight." Kalifa said, her cheeks turning red.
"I'm going to learn the rest of six powers," Josh said, sighing.
Patting her glasses, Kalifa stood up and smiled at him. "But it won't be fast. I'll tell you that you need some time, so don't be too focused on something that takes time from important thing;" she said, crossing her arms on her big chest and making it jiggle in front of him.
Josh only turned his back and walked to the yard. Kalifa only turned her head to see Mikita laughing at her, Robin chuckling, and Marianne giving her L. Kalifa only stomped on her feet and got out of the house, where Josh was standing and ready to complete the six powers.
