Arc 2: Part 7

Upon reaching the forest entrance, Kyle, with his other two classmates, Islan and Carter, went inside early to scout. Kyle moved directly ahead while the others deviated slightly to take the left and right areas, respectively.

Kyle used magic to reduce his weight, dampen the sound he made, and make his presence less noticeable. He moved by walking cautiously and occasionally hiding behind a tree, then spreading out his strings.

{'I have been going deeper, and so far, there are no traces of monsters around here. Are they deeper into the forest?'} Kyle pondered while retracting his strings and then went back to Jean. When he arrived, he saw that Islan and Carter had already returned.

"Kyle, what's the status?" Jean asked with a serious expression. Kyle thought Islan and Carter must have found something.

"No sign of monsters but also no sign of animals around. Only some old traces. How about Islan and Carter?" he asked.
