Origin of the Queen

I will have to confirm it with my own eyes, and hopefully, in doing so, I will not alert any of the infected or drones or worse. But I doubt any of them can sense me spiritually let alone interact with me on any spiritual level.

Then again, I am not too certain about this, as a lot of things has changed. The Life Zone appears to be far more difficult than the first time around, at least from what I have read and learned from what had been publicized.

Or maybe it was misinformation by the Governments to prevent chaos and anarchy. Maybe.

After digging out a safe place to stash my body, I channel my Spiritual Power to create a Spiritual Body, and then I use the Spiritual Body to possess a nearby flying insect, as flying around in my Spiritual Body will diminish its lifespan extremely quickly. Far too quickly to be useful.

Like I have said before, insects are a great way to spy on anyone and anything. Of course, I will fly just high enough to be out of the range of the insect's natural predators, which might have been forcefully evolved by the Fog of Evolution.

The Fog of Evolution affects everything biological. Sometimes, it also gives life to something that isn't alive in the first place, but those kinds of monster lack actual intelligence.

Since I cannot carry the pedant with me as guide, I fly into the direction the pedant is pointing at. After a few minutes, I found my mother along with a lot of women, all moving together as a group. They are also being surrounded by all sort of monsters.

Monster do not work together unless they are forced to serve a far more powerful monster. Monster King for example. If there is a Monster King within the Life Zone, everyone would be dead, maybe me as well, as Monster King is considered a World Ending Event.

Not only their powers are incredible, they are ferocious eater, devouring everything within their path of destruction. The Zones are too small to sate their hunger for even a single day, and it has been four days so far.

I am also not at the level to face a Monster King. It is like facing a Demon King. Kings are not just empty titles. Not anymore.

The same with Queen, and for the Queen of the Hive to subjugate that much monsters, she has to be quite powerful. Since it has only been four days, she cannot obtain this power within the Zone. Thus, she must have been transmigrated instead of transformed.

And that is… just insane! Is the Ruler of Life plans to wipe out everyone within the Zone!? What is the point of awakening then? It is better to just kill everyone herself. It would only take a second.

I eye the Black Tower in the distance, realizing that the Queen of the Hive must have originated from the tower itself. That also raises another question, and I am afraid of the actual answer.

Since my mother is a drone, I have to kill the Queen to free her. And I have to do it quickly. Her physical injuries are also of a concern, but the Hive Mind puts this much effort to relocate her means that she will not be allowed to die.

And I do believe there is a reason for that, as there are only women within the group, and that is quite alarming. I will not allow my mother to become a birthing chamber!
