Stirring the Fire
Luke flopped down on the sofa with a can of beer and a package of seaweed chips. Welcome to the exciting life of a superstar between tour dates. He clicked on the TV and found a ball game that held promise. He hadn't been home long enough to dirty up the apartment from the previous night's cleaning, so scrubbing out his unease wasn't an option.
He had to line up a new gig or take up a hobby. Maybe fly fishing. That would get him out of the city, and he didn't need a companion to participate. Then again, he was against mosquitoes, snakes, and mud. Where there were fish, there was water. Where there was water, mud followed. So much for fly fishing.
