Chapter 14 - Victoria Anniston

(VICTORIA ANNISTON)

“There is something different about this particular novel Mr Anderson.

Although the story is set as a fairy tale love story, it isn’t any typical HAPPY ENDING trait to it, there is a kind of happy beginning to t though. ‘A happy ending in the beginning of the story, and that’s when the story really starts to get interesting.” Said James as he lit a candle slowly, guiding Mr Anderson inside the house.

The two men walked down the hall of the house which led them to several mysterious rooms which seemed to be mostly the same except the different numbering on each door which was ranging from one-till-ten. Right at the end of the hall was a room which did not have a number on its door, rather there were a few words which read, ‘WHERE DREAMS LIVE’. Adam has a hard time understanding the whole situation he has found himself in, not to mention the fact that he is in a mysterious house which for some reason is also a part of a novel he believed to know all about conclusively.

The door opened itself the moment they stopped in front of it, with a small crackling sound. James walked into the room while holding Adam by his arm to signify that it was okay for them to enter the room without any fright.

It was a dark room with no definite light shining through it.

All of a sudden James spoke and said, “The story highlights the love story between a woman and man named Victoria and Brian, it is a very typical love story for its time. But I guess you may not know the story all too well.” There was a sound of footsteps coming towards them from the door in which James and Adam had entered from, the steps kept growing closer and closer until it seemed like they had reached the front door, that is when James spoke with a oud voice and said, “How about you join us miss Victoria?”

The door opened itself and from that moment the lights of the house started to light themselves one-by-one with every step she took into the room. It was a young lady who looked to be well acquainted with the story, she wore a black gown which had an old feel to it, with an expression-less face and pinkish type of lips with an impeccably pale face.

She said, “I would not say it was a love story Mr Mathews, more of a, …… An unfortunate delusion taken as love and an unmissable death. How did you know it was me by the way?”

James then smiled looking at the woman in front of him and said, “Who could ever mistake a presence such as yours Victoria?” The smile of James’s mouth melted Victoria’s piercing gaze while she turned her attention away from James and looked at Adam who looked to be out of place and a little uncomfortable. She let a little chuckle escape from her lips before she steps forwards in order to get Adam’s attention, and just when their eyes met, she said, “Good evening I’m Victoria Anniston the heroin of your favourite love story. I’m glad you were able to make it after our first meeting Mr Adam Anderson. I do hope you find my home charming enough.” And with those words Adam opened his mouth in utter shock, unable to believe the sight he was in, and right then James said, “I wouldn’t get too close to our beautiful miss Victoria there Adam, she can be a little too charming for her own good sometimes.”
