Chap1: Different

She kept running as fast as she could. Her feet began to hurt and luckily for her, she found a place to settle down. She sat there and began to reminisce on how she got here in the first place.

It was a morning like no other. Flame got off her bed feeling all tired. Her 19th birthday was in two days, she had a lot of things to do that day she was busy as usual.

Her parents said they named her Flame because she brought light to their lives. She lived with her parents and siblings but planned to live on her own after her 19th birthday.

She got up that morning with her ginger hair looking like a mess. Flame was a tall and slender woman with cute grey cat eyes and a long ginger hair. she had a flat nose and small pink lips which made her look beautiful and cute at the same time. she was a bit tomboyish but at the same time she was quick witted and smart.

She got up, brushed her teeth and went to kitchen to prepare breakfast for her family. when she turned on the fire, she felt something unusual it was like she was tempted to touch the fire. She continued to stare at the fire then before she knew it she touched it but she felt nothing which was weird but then when she removed her hands from the fire it looked as though her hands were on fire but it wasn't she then tried to quench the fire on her hands but it didn't turn off.

she waved her hands in an effort to turn it off but it didn't budge. Her hands touched the kitchen cloth and it instantly caught on fire.

Within 2mins the entire kitchen was on fire but the weird part was the fact that the fire didn't hurt her and the fire couldn't be quenched by water.

Her parents rushed into kitchen and saw Flame on fire but not burning. they tried to quench but it didn't stop. Everyone evacuated from their home after calling the fire department.

When the fire department arrived the house was almost to ashes, her younger ones cried their eyes out .While Flame just starred at the home and suddenly that feeling came again, she stretched her hand out but this time as she got close to fire the spreading stopped and fire began to diminish like it was being sucked by a vacuum. This didn't go unnoticed by her mum.

It was shocking to firemen who previously tried to put it out. It was like magic.

Once the fire extinguished, the firemen left, flame and her parents stood there speechless and in silence. They decided to find a place to settle down. They Lodge in a hotel while her dad dealt with the house insurance issues.

Flame blamed herself and at the same time felt something wasn't right. She slept off that night feeling sad and confused.

While she was asleep her chest glowed and something like a red fire tattoo appeared on it then suddenly disappeared. She woke instantly and laid her hands on her chest, she felt a little heat on her chest area. She waved it off and went back to sleep.

Flame woke up that morning feeling tired as usual until is slight knock on her hotel room door was heard. Her mum stepped then close the door behind her. Flame exchanged greetings with her mum as usual. "Baby I need to talk to you about something" " what is it mum" Flame replied feeling confused. "There is something I need to tell you" her mum said nervously "Baby you are different" "What do you mean by different mum" Flame was confused and a little worried seeing her mum looking weary.
