'So, he puts a lot of points into Str, quite reasonable,' Bloom thought to himself, 'and he is level three at least,' he added, noticing the sword which didn't belong to the standard swords in the game.
"I don't remember seeing you playing beta," Derick added, before waving his sword in the air, like warming himself up, "you are an imposter, and right now I will show everyone the real jerk you are," he added, with a calm smile on his face.
"Oh, the mighty Derick is here after accepting the legendary quest," Bloom said, trying to test him out, seeing if he had that quest yet or not. Plus he was wasting time, as he just opened his character profile, and added the points gained from leveling up to his stats.
The face of Derick changed once he heard Bloom's words. he tried to change the subject as he pointed with his sword to him while sneering:
"Did you level up inside? Good, add the points before I kill you."
"Oh, so you aren't afraid to die twice in a row before leveling up and lose that quest then! I admire your courage, really great man," Bloom didn't let him escape from his previous question, stressing over him, and making him nervous.
Bloom's words made the face of Derick really unsightly, as he asked with nervous tone:
"How do you know all that?"
"Because I'm beta, and you aren't," Bloom had already finished allocating his points, half to Str and half to Vit. He heard many rumors from before about him and his mighty sword, which he got early on from the quest. That sword had an innate boost to the strength stat, making him nearly boss monster of his own.
So, Bloom needed to secure himself. He might get some hits here and there. his blood must be thick enough to sustain the damage, or else he might really die of two strikes of this monster.
"Damn you!" Derick cursed out loud with clear anger, "you are more arrogant than what Brendy described you for. I will make sure to put an end to your arrogance here and now!"
Derick started to move towards him, but Bloom didn't move, as he wasn't finished yet. He hurriedly opened the long desired talent, the one he kept storing Tp points till now.
"Fast draw talent: allows the player to unsheathe the sword as part of the attack. Increases Str by twenty five percent. It requires four Tp points to be learnt."
The talent was learnt just when Derick was a few meters only away. He wanted to swap his two useless swords with swords he just gained from the dungeon, but if he did that, he would risk getting hit by that giant sword, which would be a grave mistake.
His Vit has risen to fourteen points, making his Hp reached one hundred and forty points, but he didn't want to risk here, especially when he didn't know what the opponents skills were.
Just as he was about to get hit, Bloom jumped to the side, evading the strike. Derick seemed to be aware of this, as he changed the trajectory route of his sword, to keep following Bloom, attacking his back.
"Dragon Descent strike."
"Ground breaker."
The two used their skills from the start, as Bloom's sword moved like a flash from his sheath, to appear behind his back, meeting Derick's sword.
"-50"
"95"
Two numbers appeared above the two, as Bloom had lost fifty points at once, while Derick lost ninety five.
Just as Bloom was turning to face him, a strange force seeped into his body, making him unable to move.
"Hahaha, idiot, do you think I came here unprepared? I have asked Brendy about all of your traits. I know you well, and it's understatement to say I'm your nemesis. Now die! Stab!"
Bloom was stunned, which made his body unable to move. That was a side effect of the skill Derick used, but just as the sword of Derick was heading to stab Bloom, the latter moved, at the last second, using his only way to live.
"Slice skill."
The other sword was drawn like lightning from its sheath, to move towards Derick's body, cutting it obliquely, before grabbing Blooms body, forcing it to move away from the tip of Derick's sword, just a hair breadth away from getting stabbed by this giant sword.
"95"
The number appeared above Derick's head was enough to make the rest of his Hp depleted. Bloom just finished his skill move, and stood watching the stupefied Derick, who just turned into a dead body, as he sneered.
"Did you mistakenly think I leveled up once and reached your level? I leveled up thrice. Sorry, you don't come prepared enough. see you soon."
Bloom watched the body of Derick fall on the ground, with a shocking look over his face. He didn't wait here, as he started to move, while saying:
"Stay here, I will be back soon."
Just as he said these words, the other three, led by Brendy, woke up from their shock, but not soon enough.
"Stab."
"Stab."
"Stab."
"Stab."
"Stab."
"Stab."
Bloom just walked amongst them, releasing two sword stabs into each of them. six figures rose up from their heads, emptying up all their Hp, and making their bodies fall on the ground motionless, cold dead.
Bloom didn't even glance at them, as he kept moving, then running towards the starting point of everyone.
Any death, as long as it didn't happen inside a dungeon, would make the player revive at the starting point, back from where everyone started. Bloom just found his prize, and he would be damned if he let that idiot escape from the reach of his sword.
The more he moved near the starting point, the more players he met. At a point, the player seemed to be like an ocean wave, coming from one direction, the direction he was going, heading everywhere.
This seemed to be problematic, as many players were now either entering the game for the first time, or they were just being revived here. The sheer number of them made it quite difficult to spot that idiot, but he didn't stop his advance, even he took out one Stm potion midway, replenishing his about to deplete Stm.
In less than five minutes he had reached the starting point, to find it as he expected, chaotic as hell. He stood there, motionless, watching the great stream of players moving around him, with no clue how to find that bastard.
The thought of that player slipping from his hands greatly irritated him. Derick needed just to be killed once, one more time, and that great quest of his would be stripped off him.
By doing so, Bloom would have really taken his first step towards wrecking this game. being this close from achieving that, and losing that rare opportunity was driving him crazy.
Should he go berserk and kill all these players? that would be insane, as he wouldn't be able to kill even a drop of this ocean.
